TooNoisy:
Wole Soyinka for me is not just an icon but he is one of the most distinguished Nigerians who always stands for truth.

1. In his early twenties, he helped found the Pirates Confraternity which was originally supposed to stand for justice and truth.

2. In his early thirties he spoke against Biafra and his perceived injustice to the Igbo people. He even went to prison in his own country for speaking against Biafra.

3. In his forties he stood spoke against several military governments including the regime's of Obasanjo and later Buhari

4. In his early fifties he won the prestigious Nobel Prize for Literature. And please stop comparing him to Chinua Achebe. Achebe wrote only prose and never wrote Poetry or Plays. Soyinka wrote Prose, Poetry and Plays.

5. In his sixties he stood up to the draconian regime of Sani Abacha and had to escape on a motorcycle when Abacha tried to kill him.

6. At 76 he led the save Nigeria group to demand the immediate hand over to Goodluck Jonathan after Yaradua had been aware for several months. He led several demonstrations even at the age of 76.

7. At 85 today he is still speaking against Buhari and against evils in the society.

So when I see ill-mannered children insulting the sage, I wonder what these people have ever stood up for except to come online and throw tantrums.

Wole Soyinka is truly a legend!

Brother, I don't really blame such people. I blame our education system. It is actually possible that people who disrespect the ilk of Wole Soyinka aren't properly educated.

What has Buhari, Tinubu, Atiku and their ilk done to better your lot! Character is what's more important bro. These old fools that have been swindling us and killing our nation with their experience should be sent packing! I understand you may be a paid APC or PDP agent. All we're saying is let's try something new.

Praise the government for equipping their health care system. If it was Nigeria the doctors would have consider between buying fuel for their generator or using Nokia torch light to perform the operation. That is if the doctors are not on strike grin

You're not nice. At least thank God for blessing the country with good health care system.

Nigerians refuse to think. If Canadians and Americans didn't persevere and build their country, I wonder where Nigerians will flee too. We lay blames on buhari without ever blaming ourselves for the uselessness of the country. It is all our faults. Nigerians is not suffering from bad leadership. We are suffering from bad followership.

America and Canada were never like Nigeria at anytime. If people seek better life outside of Nigeria, good for them. Millions have gone out and doing well. People who had no future have a breakthrough when they go to those countries while their friends who stayed back home are still suffering.

I admire the couple and will never look down on their decision to travel out or come back. Nigeria just doesn't seem to have any hope and that's what those developed countries never had at anytime.

He is very silly, why blame doctors and staff for lack of equipment, or is it doctors that are to provide defribillators and ACs. He sounds like a pained and frustrated soul whose childhood dreams to become a doctor were crushed by JAMB. That's why he has shifted d government responsibility to the doctors, just to give them a bad name and pour out his frustrations, my advice to him, he should pick next years JAMB form and study hard.

Very nice submission you made here. However, you shouldn't have told a grieving person what you just did. Alot is wrong with our healthcare system and to some extent the public knows. I don't really know if the doctor said he has to eat before attending to a critical patient but you and I know know that patients don't get the best care from healthcare professionals in Nigeria. I'm a doctor and I know what obtains. You can can't really blame them, can you? Poor motivation, poor working conditions and all.

Back to the matter on ground, Nigerians should understand that the government does not have the capacity to solely fund all our public hospitals. It's only in Nigeria that you see a hospital that doesn't make up to N20million a month, but will be paying salaries and expenses of N300million a month. It can never work. Nigerians must pay the real cost of healthcare, either indirectly by high taxes, or directly to the hospital or by insurance. When this is done, there will be enough money to fund the hospitals adequately. This also applies to the education sector and several other sectors.

Quality healthcare is expensive, Nigerians have to choose between cheap but low quality healthcare or high quality but expensive healthcare.

But this is not what the thread is all about..make a point concerning the topic

So, will you explain how it's not related to the post. I know that him talking about religion and God will piss many of you off but that's the truth, it oftentimes offends people.

Politicians will soon start courting pastors and they will be using the pulpit as campaign ground. Your pastors will tell you to vote for someone and invoke the wrath of God on those who don't. What you don't know is that religion and God are tools in the hands of politians and they know how to use it on people like you and I.

That's the reason why they mismanage our collective wealth and we still sing their praises. It's high time we woke up. We have to stop believing in that fairy tale that God will turn things around for us. US didn't, UK didn't, Germany didn't. Only wretched countries like ours believe in leaving our fate in God's hands and where has that taken us? Poverty! High crime rate! Terrorism! Poor healthcare! Bleak future!

We have to determine our fate! We have to work hard for it!

There's a very good lesson in this story! It's why we have prison service; not just to punish but to rehabilitate. It also tells a story of how anyone should be given a second chance. This guy can go places even with his record. His future is entirely in his own hands.
There are many stories of people who got lost along the way, find themselves in prison and still surprised the world by turning turning their lives around and did great things. While I encourage us all to live right and avoid breaking any law, you may just find yourself in a situation where by you just have to do something that's outrightly wrong. Like most people, you may escape justice and if you, thank your Star and sin no more. If you are not so fortunate, it's not the end of the world. There's still a lot more that you can do with what you have.

I wonder oo. His presence will distract the professional fighters. Why must he be climbing the truck when he is not a certified fighters, and he was even giving directions where to put out. There are some things you don't joke or make headlines with. The photographers and paparazzi will be distracting the work done there. Just look at howmany people holding phones and recording the so called drama.
Am very sure nothing meaniful will be achieved in that pulling off the infeno. It will totally raise that truck and the surroundings down.
What happened if there is huge fire explosion in the course of using small plastic container to pull heavy fire off? The ff will be struggling to save the governor as well as pull the fire off. My kingsmen, that are really certified mumu will be hailing him. Am sure deep inside him that is for the camera.
All what he needs to do is put all the machineries and logistics in order for emergences like this ,just like what ambode is doing, may not be something big but good equipments and rescue missions and his presence is not needed there.smh
You're right in many ways, my brother. But pause for a few minutes and think about these. Which other governor is as popular as this man in Nigeria? The fact that he's there and making effort to put off the fire is admirable, even if it's just for the camera. People feel connected to him and that's something that is very rare among many politicians! Fayose is an undeniably lovable man!

HIDDEN SECRET OF BITCOINS THAT YOU DON'T KNOW

I fell in love with bitcoin about a month ago and have never looked back since then. I forgot my daily #just2odd match prediction post on facebook.
Over a month period, I learned as much as I can about this hot/new virtual currency and I've bought, sold and traded a few bitcoins myself. Now, I want to share with you what I know! Enjoy.

When I first wrote about BITCOINS last month, many thought it was a joke. Now it has turn a reality.

Are u aware that as at this morning in the foreign exchange market that one bitcoin is now $903 in value, from the previous $720 late last month.
I.e 1bitcoin (BTC)=903 US dollar

If you calculate with the current dollar to naira exchange rate, you will see that
$903= 451500 naira?
Since $1 = 500 naira

That means
1bitcoin = N451,500 (Almost half a million naira)

Bitcoin has gained ground in the foreign exchange market. Almost all online markets now prefer transactions via bitcoins due to its frequent increase in value.

Earlier last month, the exchange rate is at
$720 to 1bitcoin
But as at this morning, the exchange rate has increased to
$903 to 1bitcoin. Which is $183 increase in value.

And has u all know that with the current economic situation in our country Nigeria now, if you have $1, it is equivalent to having about N500
How much more when you have 1bitcoin in your account.

To exchange this to our nigeria naira, you will be receiving roughly N451,500

The SECRET am about to REVEAL to you now is what most online marketing GURUS will put together for you as an E-BOOK and give it out at a very high price But here you are, getting it for FREE.

Think of how fulfilled you will be if you have about 64bitcoins in your account.

Chat me on whatsapp and let me teach you for FREE, how you can generate Bitcoins online and MAKE it grow upto 64btc within within few periods, with my Bitcoin extraction strategy.

Don't say "Na lie! Na lie!!" Just ask me HOW?

Don't wait until you start hearing TESTIMONIES from others before you make a move.

Instead of doubting and criticising and over analyzing (which is the default mode of a typical Nigerian), why not press forwad to know more and be guided properly?
