Firstly, you need to be extremely careful when handling a strange animal like this. The bird could be down with a disease that can be easily transmitted to humans (zoonosis), e.g. Avian influenza, which can be fatal depending on the virus strain. @ myglodata, your wife's situation is more of an impending medical disaster if serious medical help is not sought on time. Stress is a major factor that induces these symptoms you described in your narration. I want to believe your wife falls into the categories of those who take many of their day to day activities like taking care of the kids, house chores, work, business etc too seriously. She probably finds it difficult getting to sleep on time or when she sleeps, she wakes up much earlier than necessary and then later starts feeling sleepy back around 5am - 7am- these definitely are tell tale signs of mental ill health. If your dear wife ticks some of these signs, you guys need to go to a very good hospital for proper medical evaluation of her situation and of course back every thing up with prayers (probably Rukyah since you are Muslims). Wishing your family the very best at this trying period.

Those steering and pedal locks are just to delay a petty thief for like 5-7mins. Those things don't prevent theft. There was a time my uncle's car steering & pedal lock for key got worn and he couldn't open the lock, all we did was to get one small hack saw and cut through the main stem of the contraption. In approx 5 mins we were able to drive off the car. A better option is the not fanciful pedal lock only where you use padlocks to secure. A thief getting a way easily with this in particular depends on the quality of padlock you use with it.
