Obaofaba:Schooling them or stripping you of the little honour left of your 'heritage'. You people will rue the day you elevated sycophancy over common sense when BAT is done and becomes history. What a waste of free education by the sage Awolowo.SMH! |
Cuite:Oya, go and form another movement, and let it gain traction amongst Nigeria's teeming population. Case closed! Charlatans everywhere. Like Reno and Abure (at least this one is no longer hiding). |
Capernum:It's a matter of "fall in line" or "step aside" Ditto: Edo elections. That's why building strong institutions is better than celebrating powerful men (aka Master strategists). We will all learn under this regime. It will touch every state down south. |
CoronaVirusPro:Lol. Sycophancy is never good, it makes an adult lose his sense of self. When this idea was once mooted by Nigerians (especially PO), you showed angst in defence of its alternative. All of a sudden, you celebrate another somersault, just like the Mastercard issue. When one is not 'greedy' of personal gain (whether parochial or sentimental like tribalism), you can NEVER lose your sense of belonging. Truth will always be truth. I pity you folks. |
Amotolongbo:Since 2023, critical thinking has been on a decline amongst Nigeria's teeming youth population, because of sycophancy and tribalism. Something that clearly reads "...as directed by Oga Atiku/Waziri (Anonymised). You wouldn't understand the context, having not worked in an organised setting. Nigeria truly has an Education (not schooling) problem. Hence we can see how Kenyan youths have more sophisticated thought process. |
Maxymilliano:We have always known Tinubu was anything but democratic, but how PMB who has once adorn khaki, has outdone him in keeping to democratic tenants, is an unfortunate amazement. Suddenly, the SS would have to grovel at this feet to become Governor. An infamous godfather sure knows how to entrench Godfatherism. |
Exousiang01:"BAT is a good prison guard. We the prisoners are busy with social media memes and fooling. A lot of 30+ ladies unmarried A lot of 30+ men aren't even thinking of starting a family. I give everybody 10 years max." #Copied |
"What does it matter? Isn't he Mr Project?" Nigeria is a strange place. People whose parents might have engendered the ills of the Nigerian society either through aloofness or sycophancy, are in turn creating an even worse situation for their unborn kids. Different generation, same MO, same value system. |
If Jesus had started his ministry in present day Nigeria, they would have focused on the rebellion of Judas rather than on Christ's purpose and thus no disciple would remain and Christianity will be no more. Emotion without critical thinking is what makes an agbado. They're hyping Sowore now, without knowing they're unwittingly endorsing BAT's second term. I say it again, without critical thinking ability, salvation is far from this generation of Nigerian youths. |
Kenosky1:The system remains the system (INEC, Judiciary, Armed Forces). In fact, unlike 2023, they're firmly under the grip of a man who doesn't know when to stop. If Obi contests, he won't have the elements of surprise as he did last year. And he doesn't look like someone ready to go off character. So, we're either stuck with BAT or rally round a candidate who fears nothing and his willing to go lower than APC. It might not give us what we deserve, but it would be the closest thing to a revolution, otherwise this dance will continue. |
Tochi3:That's why I had to put so much efforts into diffusing the ramblings of those amoral lots. We in Edo knew what happened and how AI's mandate was branzenly stolen. When complaints were made about the REC being WIKE'S cousin and the security agents being complicit, people called PDP names. The predicted outcome has also been downplayed by agents of darkness. Well, if PDP can't recover their mandate by producing the EC38As from PUs, then good luck to APC. After all the useless judiciary made iREV nothing but a scoreboard in our electoral process, stating that collation is manual. Well, here's the result of manually collating election results without recourse to iREV. |
ALTERNATEID:Are you intelligent at all? So, the over 200k votes APC got (according to INEC) where from ghosts? Is politics not about interests? Did you know the background story of how the institution's management resisted Obaseki's reforms that made activities temporarily halted? Won't you think they will be happy? Does the support of few people validate the travesty every unbiased Edo indigenes (including APC members) know happened on Saturday. You people are so beholden to evil that it compromises your sense of sound judgement. It is your right to hate Obaseki but politics should never be used as a vendetta against the people. Why is it that only people from a particular part of the country embrace the dark art of criminality? Is it because you love APC so much or the stench of being conquered ? PS: PDP even won the PU at Oba's Palace, despite the open declaration of support by key subjects of the Oba. It shows we the Edos do not play politics of servitude. If AI can't prove he won the election, then kudos to APC. But stop sounding like a clown. APC stalwarts in Edo are not even saying APC won the election, they are rather happy about the misfortune of Obaseki (retribution using federal might). But ignorant folks like you will be online making noise. |
Peacecore:Wike's cousin as REC, INEC commissioner as an APC member Ganduje being in Edo all through Might all be taken as a joke without consequence. But EVERYONE that matters in Edo politics had an axe to grind with Obaseki. He made very poor political decisions. We were only hoping gladiators (like the traditional rulers) will look beyond him and focus on the astutenes of Asue. The kind of rigging is the type he will have no one to cry to. His fate had already been sealed. Well, they're all admitting now that they knew AI was the best candidate. He has only paid for the sins of Obaseki. Let's see how governance benefits Edo. |
etrouble:We are in Edo sir, forget story. We know the forces at play and with this Oredo result they're simply telling him "we messed you up" and there's nothing you can do about it. You don't have to like anything about Obaseki but don't make us look stupid. PDP won 6 LGAs in Edo South aside from Orhiomwon where it still unclear. He should have expected it though. Hawks don't gather for nothing but to devour. They did to him what was done in favour of him 8 years ago. Well, it's a long walk to freedom for Edolites. Tinubu doesn't forgive. Let's us just be truthful about the kind of democracy we practise instead of pretending. |
christejames:I look at Obi and I shake my head. The elements of surprise he had in 2023 won't be there again. Opposition is busy making noise on X. He should support Sowore, at least to give Nigerians a semblance of the revolution they've been yearning for. Everything about our politics is dirty, and he thinks he can win by being stainless. Look at Wike's cousin as REC, the other National Commissioner an APC member, Ganduje was in Benin all night, and they think APC was in Edo to play. Even AA is doesn't command respect. As of today, no one can match APC. Mind you, WIKE is whatever he thinks he is. Nigeria has made men powerful but institutions weaker by the day. |
JagabanB:It doesn't work that way. Politics is local. Obi is just being a loyal party man and we can't fault him for that. Firstly, there was the issue of equity (power returning to EDO CENTRAL), and then the sentiments about if LP can defend people's votes (which they currently lack the capacity to do). Given, Obidients are emotional about seeing Nigeria work, but they clearly have no idea how to achieve that. It is safe to say Tinubu's re-election in 2027 is done and dusted. If opposition knew what they were doing they should be pushing for electoral reforms now. Instead, they're busy making noise on SM. Well, I wish Nigeria well even if APC captures all the states in Nigeria. After all, they've been excellent since 2015. |
AmalaAtiEwedu:That's not correct sir. It would mean the votes of one of the 2 main political parties are expected to perpetually remain on the high side if there's a 3rd force. That's not logical. The ghosts of 2023 were the reason. Check voter turnout in PDP strongholds and the cooked figures from Edo North. Quote me "Never in the history or Edo State has Akoko Edo produced that number of votes in an election". And never has Edo North produced mote total votes than Edo South. Check the results again and see what's visible to the blind. Those were the reasons (Apathy and massive rigging) PDP lost not LP. |
LegendHero:Context!!! Your hatred for this man blinds you to logic and facts. That the total votes cast for both APC and PDP include those of Obi supporters. Or the logic that humans are not robots (this might be alien to some people). No one who hates others without cause lives a healthy life. |
BondRiv:People's political consciousness is actually not far from their ability to rationalise contextual meanings. Many ignorantly did not know "Edo no be Lagos" is applied to a singular context. SMH! No wonder APC is and might remain in power. PS- The quality of our education is actually affecting our decision making process. What a shame. |
DesChyko:It is hope in a broken system that kills. Half the people commenting on this anomaly will be throwing jabs at their fellow oppressed citizens instead of mourning Nigeria's decaying institutions. The courts will further compound issues, and then some wail, others hail; and before you know it, boys will be 40 years old. 40 years from now, we might still be queuing for fuel at exorbitant prices. If you cannot see there's no hope for Nigeria and start making plans, SORRY! PS- Wonder why it seems a section of the Nigerian society celebrates politicians' manoeuvring abilities than they do governance? That's the shift in paradigm that supports my assertion. |
CalabarPikin:Meanwhile, the 20 abducted medical students are still in captivity. That's why I pity 'ordinary' Nigerians who think political patronage will insulate them from the hazards of being a Nigerian. Well, the guy wanted to be an activist and investigative journalist at the same time, that was his bane. Nigerians are not with saving. Ps. To those celebrating his misfortune, just know your children will have no one left to speak truth for their social and mental freedom. None of the top security agents have their kids rooted in Nigeria, because they don't believe it has a future, and your kids will have none it in either. Ordinary mind wouldn't be able to rationalise what Funsho Williams would have saved us from, by not allowing a BAT to emerge, by the time this administration is over. His rule over Nigeria has come to stay, so long Nigeria remains one. |
The damage the ambition of one man has done to our collective sense of responsibility and the hitherto enviable value system of a particular ethnic group might never be rivalled. Only a microscopic few have not been caught in this Web of amorality. Someone even said he's happy his tribe is now infamous for notoriety which was once alien to them. Assuming the alpha was the most noble of that race, it might have been understandable. Even we in EDO now cringe at what has become of the supposedly sophisticated minds we have in the country. What a mystical being Mr Alpha has turned out to be. No single human since Hitler has wielded such influence. Funny thing is that his people think they are woke. |
As predicted. I give it to PO, he knows what strategic communication means in politics. No needles emotions involved, just logic. Use your detractors weapons against them. |
A government official called him 'Bitter Obi' this morning and now instead of hibernating, he's reeling them in again to convulse more, especially now that Nigeria is on autopilot. It's like beckoning to agbadorians, "arise and work for your pay." They think bad press will do him harm when Nigeria is failing. Reno and co will learn the hard way. Even Atiku has also learnt neck pressing to stay relevant. Una go throw mud tire. |
This reminds me of Bashir A. who fed on crumbs for 8 years under PMB, but only recently started wailing about DSTV's hike. It is now the turn of others not to find a better way to be useless order than measuring the level of engagement of those who have decided to channel their energy into surviving the throes of agbasonomics they unceremoniously but rightly predicted. Like, of what use is a whip to a dead horse? People are still hung up on politics when governance is raping their future and those of their offsprings blind. Screenshot their online jejunitis for 30k monthly pay. No matter, 4 cycles of 8 years, grey hair go show. LoL. Better hold your side and be sure, except you be Dangote. Nigerians! |
' He wants to' but not presently ruling. I thought we should be more concerned about governance now. Or is everyone in your family living like Dangote in this economy? BTW! The investment he poured encomium on BAT and Fashola for, has it translated into better power situation in Lagos? You people have taken this thing tribalism to another level. It is becoming a mental disorder. Imagine maligning a private citizen on anticipation of his ambition 3 years from now. These are tell tale signs Nigeria has no prospect with electorates like you. Who has means should leave this country, majority of citizens have lost their societal and personal values. What a man BAT is (he deserves an award), people now fight for his cause rather than what's just. He singlehandedly turned a fledgling generation of logical and educated men into amoral beings and whipping babies. Shame! khalling2008: |
Any good communications strategist would know that Reno is giving PO the attention he needs to gain more foothold in Nigeria's political space. He thinks the over 6M voters (INEC figures) for PO are on X or can be swayed by his online trivialities. Reno will only succeed in doing one thing, and that is distract gullible minds from the maladministration of this current government, but the reality will always be with the people. This government's failings would make it all the more easier. Instead of amplifying what Tinubu is doing, he's busy running after PO (< 1yr into a new administration). APC would eventually realize it and call him to order, but it would be too late. Bobloco: |
Lol. Dear OP. You should be more concerned that full grown ass men like the ones on this thread will gather and vote a 'goat' as president one day. The quality of the thought process of citizens of a country tells a lot about the future of that country. The conversations on this issue (whether for clout or not) show we really haven't learnt our lessons as citizens about the indices of development, for example. Did PO build school infrastructure? (yes, however minimal) Did he remodel schools to optimize outputs? (Yes) Are there positive indices of his investment in Education? (Yes, even the blind can see the investments are still speaking in Anambra's educational foturnes till date). Now, the ongoing narrative by the misguided fellas would lend credence to more 'white elephant' projects by government officials. Obaseki, my state Governor has built or remodelled more schools (mostly higher) than any government in Edo state since return to democracy, yet the indices of human development shouldn't be discussed here. What happened to the Osun airport conceived by Aregbesola? EEkiti nko? What about the monorail in Rivers? YAnyone can predict the outcome of the newly awarded costal Road. Nigeria is on a long thing, do not waste your time trying to wake up people that are pretending to be asleep. It's a futile effort. Everyone will enjoy the fruits of Nigeria they're helping to build for future generations. |
The first to comment may never find a better eay to be useless. He thinks his online persona can be divorced from his in-person personality. Time will tell. Modified The fruits of the seed being sown by evil men Iin power, which OP is talking about; will be reaped by future generations, and that includes the kids of those trolling sensitive matters that border on the heart of this country. It would be worse for those who would be unfortunate to remain in Nigeria. |
MICHEALADEX:This your case is already a mental disorder. It is obvious Obi is the drug that keeps you going in this magnanimous administration of SHEGE by your master crook. Firstly, you didn't vote him because of his supporters, now he is responsible for the personal greed of amoral individuals. Can we say you are a thief because you brother is one, when there's no evidence linking you to theft? The consequences of your actions are staring you folks in the face, but instead of showing remorse so you might gain nature's respite, you are still rolling in the mud of hate. Even in the family circle, children born to same parents are never exactly the same. You voted a clueless man and crook, yet you want to malign the integrity of a man your paymasters can't still get dirt on. No be madness be that? |
