Deedeedee3:Relax its not that serious, do you have a real life job besides NLanding? |

I laughed when they claimed Igbos only excel in petty trade aka 2×2 shops as they call it, funny but one fact that escapes them is that from that same 2×2 shop, an Igbo man will still manage to build a house(I mean mansion) in his village in Anambra or Imo, live in a decent flat somewhere in Lagos or worse case scenario own a face me and face you which will have yoruba tenants in it, send his kids to quality schools, pay his taxes, and be less of a financial liability to society than the agbero misfits that will come demand for "owo mi da" tomorrow at his shop...if anyone wants to understand ingenuity and business acumen, contact the Igbo man next door to you...no be my mouth. |

totit:I can reorientate you with those facts if you promise to be less of an idiot and be a good student? ![]() |

totit:Unfortunately facts like this are alien to you and your myopic ilks, a typical product of a failed system! |

hilroy:Never alluded that he was, but to have a clearer and unbiased perspective on these realities, wouldn't it be feasible if a non-Igbo(a Northerner) at that made those claims over the usual "chest hearing" yeebos or Igbos? use your damn head |

Guestlander:Going by that list and all facts on ground in the Nigerian educational sector(like Igbo states as usual topping the index of best performance in the WAEC and Jamb results like was obtainable in the past consecutive years), it isn't far fetched to conclude that yorubas can and will never ride into the sunset of academic excellence ahead of the Igbos...media propaganda and a thousand threads conjured on NL to debunk these facts won't save face anymore...for a region that went through the devastation of a bloody civil war, with a quarter or so of its potentials in growth which at its peak was ahead of other regions all destroyed, and further inflicted with cruel post war policies that was aimed at completely relegating the Igbos into a beggarly status in Nigeria...one would have thought the Yorubas who had it easy all through the time would have left Igbos in the dust with no gap to close, but what we see today is a opposite of what was expected...we see resilient region that not only bounced back from the throes of war and desolation in the Nigerian polity, but witnessed a growth(rebound) that was so commendable that one with a clear and unbiased mind would wonder how they(Igbos) pulled it off? Imagine if yorubas had gone through a quotient of what Igbos endured during and after that war...do you think y'all would even see our backs talkless of making notable impacts in all indices of human and natural endeavours like Igbos have? Nigerians need to think before casting idiotic aspersions, we are all in this hell hole together, lets all seperate..the basis of unity was afterall never there according to Gowon. 1 Like |

mercyville:Go ask El rufai and other notable non-Igbos who clearly admitted macro-economic/commercial Igbo dominance all over Nigeria; notably real estate and landed properties, of course I can post VERIFIABLE sources to these fact...maybe the likes of El rufai who stated that Igbos control a huge chunk of properties and inland estates in Abuja few years back knows something we don't know. Lots of Yorubas and Igbos do well both at home and at in diaspora, so no tribe is particularly outperforming the other if we are to go by hard facts and REALITY on ground, achievers abound everywhere! so celebrate yoruba greatness but don't drag Igbos into your slug fest di.cck measuring contest, cause I have literally can't see what Igbos have got to do with a thread that extols yoruba greatness...except the same Igbos are your perennial nightmares...which seems like the case to me. |

If there was one thing I can commend about this IPOB thing is the Igbo consciousness it has produced, haven't seen Igbos these united before...the spirit of Igbo nationalism is spreading like wild fire in harmattan all over the former Eastern region(note my careful use of old Eastern region before the "South South" crew pounce on me)...wasn't a huge fan of this movement ab initio...but I'm now been sold over, the voice of the people is indeed the voice of God. 12 Likes |

No ethinc group is dominating the other, every ethinc demographic looks well represented in all departments, I'm even more impressed to see lots of Igbos...so much for people that only excel in 2×2 business according to our all perfect yoruba noise makers 3 Likes |

rusher14:More Igbos again!!! |

Markfemi2:The list ia there...I dare you to cull out the list on a comparative analysis sketch and see which ethnic demographic leads who in all the depts |
![]() |
totit:That's a projected stats, we both know there is no way Igbos will edge the yorubas numerically in a yoruba institution, yet the stats don't do you so much justice. |

In social sciences and business/finance courses yorubas slightly lead, in STEM I see more Igbos and South South names...that should count for something. |

Markfemi2:Firstly I'm not flat headed, so proof post your picture and I do likewise..secondly I admit I'm a damn smooth liar, that's why your girl can't let go of my di.cck |

I see more Igbo sounding names in some departments |

totit:Oga its a fact, forget the thread title for a sec and with an unbiased stint look up the names of the graduates in all the departments listed, count the numbers of Igbis and yorubas and you will see nothing really seperates the difference, I even saw more Igbo looking names in some departments than Yorubas and vice versa, looks more like a draw to me. |

I wouldn't be too happy if I were yoruba...the stats don't do yorubas much credit as much as one would expect(going by the usual media noise of them wanking off to the delusion of been the most educated, astute, sophisticated..blah blah blah), the biostats from the index of graduates compiled so far shows a more evenly distributed ethnic demographic between Igbos and Yorubas(with yorubas having a marginal edge in some departments of students listed)...but these is to be expected in a school that is yoruba dominated numerically at least, owned by a charitable Yoruba, and also located on a yoruba turf...so if anything the Igbos didn't do badly at all and represented admirably well...for a tribe yorubas funnily think are not into education but business and commerce, I bet Igbo states will top the waec and jamb index if released in due time ONCE AGAIN, the thread title no doubt was unnecessary and premature in its devious ethnic baiting antics as usual. The real question is, can yorubas COMPLETELY edge the Igbos if it were a school located in a non yoruba state? Let this sink in...Covenant University is a yoruba dominated institution for obvious reasons, yet strangers on your turf gave a good fight in the academic facet...which is the case for every indices of achievement in the South West as a whole....I would want someone to compile the graduating set of other top institutions in other states in Nigeria and lets see on a neutral basis, which ethnic group will outperform the other... 5 Likes |
