It's a thread of successful people, same can be found in other parts of Nigeria, I'm making my points from the prism of an average lifestyle of a Yoruba man.

Cause their men are very lazy... even a Yoruba friend admitted this to me. The successful Yorubas that you'll see are the educated ones(the only thing I admire them for is their love for education, at least they have to be good and useful at something) , the ones whose parents sent them to UK for school, the ones who invest in shares and wait out the dividends... that's about it, compare to an Igbo boy who will work his ass off, do apprenticeships with his master for some years, set up a business with his settlement money and in relatively few years build a comfortable merchandise for himself enough to feed his whole family and train his kith a day kin in school... Igbo boys Sabi hustle, from 2×2 shops to a chain of mega shops and a comfortable mansion in Akwa or Nnewi in just few years, all proceeds from sheer hustle and superior micro and macro economic management of investments even in the most stringest of economies

why is the OP even wasting his time...of course they can pass all their bills to institutionalize yoruba as a compulsory language in Lagos schools...but that will only be applicable to indigenous yoruba speakers or anybody interested in taking the course..even the lawmakers know better than to force a language into the curriculum of non yoruba speakers who have no interest in taking or learning it.

I never implied in my post that I supported attacks on anyone buddy, but you can't overrule the fact that getting involved in acts that brazenly mock or deride your host in very volatile situation is asking for trouble, in this case the Hausas saw people getting shot at for simply wearing the Biafran insignia and hailed the army for it! If that's not insensitivity then I can't find a better name for that, even the Hausas would do much worse had the reverse been the case in places like Kano or Bauchi...lets be honest here.

Actually the detail the op left out was that the Hausas invited soldiers to their quarters and hailed them as they pelted bullets into the air, basically the Hausas were too irrational to get involved in an already tense situation that pretty much didn't put them in a good and safe gauge from the onset since the army is Northern dominated from a true ethnic demography , obviously you can't be that insolent on a mans turf and not expect a bloody nose...
