Dual Core:
On one side of the coin, webmasters (or whatever they prefer to be called) think the are selling water (5 naira per gallon).
On the flip side, prospective clients think they are pricing crayfish.

P.S: This is not a "Nigerian" thing though.

Indians also have the same attitude of charging cheap rates.

I think it also starts with vendors (designer and developers) charging very cheap fees. For example, i once had a meeting with a prospective client and when we got to the money aspect, i gave him my bill and shouted 'SOMEONE SAID HE'LL DO THIS FOR N20,000'.

I agree with you that 'some' web designers and developers lack the creative skills to develop good website. Its rather unfortunate that some organizations outsource their websites to agencies abroad; i don't blame them though.

I think when designers and developer in Nigeria start to come up with websites that conform with latest web trends, people will keep importing websites. Also, they should stop charging cheap fees in the name of making money.

I have had loads of experiences with prospective clients when it comes to money issues of the past 7 years that i have been a Web Designer. Nigerians like to underestimate the value of web designers and developers alike, and at the end of the day, they get crappy looking website like the one in question.

Like i always say, [b]if you want quality, you'll have to pay for it.

Guy, i will not like to decieve you, that very D3000 is not a solid product. I bought it for 80,000 and i can beat my chest and tell you i only used it for 2 weeks and as i am writing this now the camera is still with the engineer trying to fix it. Reason, the parts are not in the market and the engineer told me the product is not concrete.
I recommend you go for Nikon D60 or 70 or if you have the money go for D100 or you can go for Canon 400 or 450 if you have the money. The nikon D60 will cost you up to 90 Grand if you want to go for it,and the canon 400 or 450 will be up to 120 or that category.but its worth it brother.I am talking from xperience.

I have not used this camera before, but i comes at a very high recommenation. Am sure you must have purchased a defective one. Canon's i known not to be user friendly.
