The mess left on the Augean's stable by the younger Ineffectual Buffoon together with his fellow PDP destroyers is being already cleaned by the 73 year old Buhari.

Going by what we've seen of a 73 year-old PMB and 50-something year-old Fayose, it's save to say that PMB's generation is better equipped and skilled to pilot affairs of a state/nation than the younger ones.

Those facing trial for looting our resources, those returning part of their loots, and those being "hunted" down for defrauding the nation are all of younger generation to Buhari's.

Who takes him serious, the man who announced to the whole world that his own mother wears diapers?

Like Fayose, like his followers and fans.

oga use your brain and re-read again. it is common sense. The North had party ticket in 2007 while the south had chairman in 2008. The South had party ticket in 2011 while the north in 2012 had Party Chairman. The south retained the ticket in 2015 and the moral thing is for the north to retain the chairman in 2016. ideally, the north should retain the chairman till 2020 but the fact that it is having the ticket in 2018 means that it would step down in 2018 just like the South did in 2010.

Politics › Re: PDP Chairmanship: The Rationality Of The North East And Interests Of South East by DropShot:
By virtue of the fact that the South South through Dr Goodluck Jonathan retained the party's Presidential ticket, it automatically means that the office of the Chairman held by North East would be retained by the zone in the 2016 National Convention. It is not the fault of the North, particularly the NorthEast that Jonathan lost the 2015 election. It will be unfair to allow the North East zone lose their legitimate right simply because Jonathan lost to Buhari. I believe that no one would even be agitating for the South to produce the Chairman if Jonathan(South) had won the 2015 President election. That said, the zoning of the chairman to the North East is highly in order.
Slave mentality!
In all previous instances you referenced, the chairmanship had gone to the zone that didn't have the presidency. GEJ's loss shouldn't prevent that "gentleman agreement" from continuing. Once GEJ lost and with the presidency zoned to the NE, the logical, rational and sensible thing to do is for PDP to zone its chairmanship to South.

North Producing Party Presidential Candidate For 2019 Does Not Negate It:
Using the 2019 arrangement for 2016 event is inappropriate going by party's precedents and gentleman agreement. Already, PDP has the agreement of allowing the North and South take turns of two consecutive tickets each. The death of Yar'adua saw the rule broken to accommodate Jonathan's ambition in 2011. Waiting to takeover party ticket in 2015, the party still accommodated Jonathan for a second term. One don't need a prophet to know that the legitimate thing to do in 2019 was to return the party ticket to the north in 2019 and 2023. This in no way can affect the Chairmanship position, those that feels the party chairman seat should not remain in the north east should take a holistic review of their position.
Similar to the position on the Chairmanship. Nothing can justify zoning the presidency and chairmanship to the same zone if not master-slave relationship.

South East Must Produce PDP's VP Candidate In 2019/23 And Presidential Candidate In 2027/31:[/b]
Of the three geopolitical zones in the south, the South East has been the most shortchanged as long as the PDP is concerned despite the fact that the loyalty of the geopolitical zone to the party is never in doubt. With the emergence of Dr Goodluck Jonathan (Bayelsa SS) as PDP's Vice Presidential candidate in 2007, the coast was set for the South East to enjoy the Chairmanship seat for the period of 2008 to 2016, and also clinch the party's Presidential ticket in 2015 when the North would have exhausted their turn of two tickets through Umaru Musa Yar'adua. However er, the death of the former president and emergence of Dr.Jonathan as party's candidate in 2011 made the South East to lose the Chairmanship in 2012 because no region can hold both at the same time. Jonathan's clinching of party's in 2015 invariably means that 2019 and 2023 will be held by the North. However, considering that the VeePee slot will return to the south in 2019 and 2023, it is only appropriate the the South East be allowed to enjoy the slot considering that it is the only zone in the south that is yet to be on the Presidential and VP ticket since return of democracy. The South West through Olusegun Obasanjo(Ogun, SW) enjoyed the President slot in 1999 and 2003, the South South through Jonathan enjoyed the VP slot in 2007, and president slot in 2011 and 2015, leaving the South East with nothing. Even the office of National Chairman of the party that they were supposed to enjoy for four years(2008-2012) was only enjoyed by them for Two years(Ogbulafor 2008-2010 and Nwodo 2010), the remaining two years was held by the North through Haliru Bello in the guise of 'Acting Chairman'. I believe that justice would only be served when the zone get what is due to them.
We know SE and PDP are Siamese twins. No problems at all. In fact, should SE be given the presidential slot in APC in 2019, the zone will still opt for PDP offering only a deputy senate presidency. Such is their lack of grasp of Naija politics. The only politics the zone understands is politics of hatred. Hence, SE will NEVER produce Nigeria's president except it changes its attitude.

Having said the above, I urge Igbos from the SouthEast not to be coerced into giving up their. legitimate demand of producing VP of the party in 2019 and 2023, and President in 2027 and 2031 when it returned to the South. In fact, the Igbos from South East have the moral obligation to vote against the PDP in 2019 should it deny them their legitimate slot.
Igbos will always align with PDP for obvious reasons (frauds, divide and rule at the highest level, hatred for Hausa-Yoruba party, etc). And these are the reasons they may never produce a Nigeria president. No region will be able to produce president without the SW, NE and NW.

I am from the South South(Rivers state) but I don't think it is appropriate to side injustice. In fact, I have consistently maintained that while the North should produce presidential candidate in 2019, the South East must produce the running mate. That position I still maintain.
You have sided with injustice and irrationality on many occasions. You know you stand for NOTHING and fall for ANYTHING. You speak from both sides of your mouth.

Finally, I commend the NEC led by Sen Ali Modu Sheriff on the decision made so far, I believe that the party is on the right track as it prepares to takeover tenancy of Aso Rock in 2019. I pray we don't deviate.
Typical of a slave!

May God Bless Us All And Bless Nigerias Presidential ticket in 2015 when the North would have exhausted their turn of two tickets through Umaru Musa Yar
Keep dreaming!

PMB will be president till 2023 whether una like am or not. The SW will be very silly to vote for another Northern politician other than PMB in 2019 because doing so will mean that the North will retain the presidency till 2027.

In 2023, the South (read SW) will produce the next president for another eight years. Only after sixteen years of APC may we start to determine if PDP deserves another chance at Aso Rock.
Politics › Re: BUHARI, African Most Incompetent, Unserious And Clueless Leader – UK Study by DropShot: 10:29am On May 01, 2016
[s]
ShySteady:
President Muhammadu Buhari’s election victory in the opinion and expectation of majority of Nigerians and African was seen as an opportunity for a total transformation of Africa’s sleeping giant, but the events in the last 10 months have shown otherwise.

According to a study by Nigerian Governance Watch, a United Kingdom (UK) based Nigerian Professionals group, revealed that President Buhari is beret of idea to manage, have no focus, unstable and extremely incompetent in every sphere to shape the affairs of Nigeria.

The group came short of blaming the President, but Nigerians who knew the antecedent of Muhammadu Buhari while in office in 1984 to 1985 and blindly went for a man who have not created anything, but only destroys the gains of his predecessors through his thoughtless policies and zero understanding of the workings in a public sector.

As a military leader, Buhari killed the Naira, killed the economy, destroyed our relationship with the rest of the world, polarized the country on tribe and religion, impoverished Nigerians to the extent that Nigerians were queuing up for essential commodities like Milk, Rice and Bread.

On Buhari’s return in May 2015, he has within this short period, turned Africa’s biggest and fastest growing economy to a shrinking one. Crashing the GDP from about 7.0% to 2.4%, inflation jumping to 11.6% from 9%, over 2 million Nigerians losing their jobs, FDI dropped by over 85%, maternal and infant mortality is at all time high as result of poverty, malnutrition and diseases.

In a dwindling revenue, Buhari did the unheard of, instead of reducing the budget, he increased the budget from N4.3trn to N6.07trn. He presented the most fraudulent, inflated and irredeemably padded budget.

The Nigerian Governance Watch stated that they were not surprised, as President Buhari they described as a “very serious” leader, in a recession period did not deem it fit to appoint a single Economist among the 36 names in his cabinet.

They frowned at the president’s inability to set up an Economic Team after 10 months in office and only resorting to intuition, thumb rules and application of Adam and Eve economies in this 21st century.

On the political front, the condemned President’s deliberate interventions in the electoral process and his use of security agencies to intimidate the opposition and the assassination and killing of people of diverse opinion.

The UK based group, according to Hope For Nigeria is worried that President Buhari who benefited in one of the best organised elections in Africa just few months ago have been unable to successfully organise any election in the country.

His determination to ensure that his party members and cronies win all the elections has lead to numerous killings, kidnapping and in most cases annulling results or declaring them inconclusive where his party is losing hopefully, like the case of Rivers state re-run election.

In conclusion, according to Hope For Nigeria, the group advised President Buhari to swallow his pride and recall some of the experts from previous governments that meticulously guided the Nigerian economy to be the largest in the continent. They added that it is not about Buhari as the leader, but the paramount thing is the interest of Nigeria and Nigerians.

Politics › Re: The Coup Speech That Overthrew Buhari On August 27, 1985… by DropShot:
[s]
cogbuagu:
I, Brigadier Joshua Nimyel Dogonyaro, of the Nigerian Army, hereby make the following declaration on behalf of my colleagues and members of the Nigerian Armed Forces.

Fellow country men, the intervention of the military at the end of 1983 was welcomed by the nation with unprecedented enthusiasm. Nigerians were unified in accepting the intervention and looked forward hopefully to progressive changes for the better. Almost two years later, it has become clear that the fulfillment of expectations is not forthcoming.

Because this generation of Nigerians and indeed future generations have no other country but Nigeria, we could not stay passive and watch a small group of individuals misuse power to the detriment of our national aspirations and interest.

No nation can ever achieve meaningful strides in its development where there is an absence of cohesion in the hierarchy of government; where it has become clear that positive action by the policy makers is hindered because as a body it lacks a unity of purpose.

It is evident that the nation would be endangered with the risk of continuous misdirection. We are presently confronted with that danger. In such a situation, if action can be taken to arrest further damage, it should and must be taken. This is precisely what we have done.

The Nigerian public has been made to believe that the slow pace of action of the Federal Government headed by Major-General Muhammadu Buhari was due to the enormity of the problems left by the last civilian administration.

Although it is true that a lot of problems were left behind by the last civilian government, the real reason, however, for the very slow pace of action is due to lack of unanimity of purpose among the ruling body; subsequently, the business of governance has gradually been subjected to ill-motivated power play considerations. The ruling body, the Supreme Military Council, has, therefore, progressively been made redundant by the actions of a select few members charged with the day-to-day implementation of the SMC’s policies and decision.

The concept of collective leadership has been substituted by stubborn and illadvised unilateral actions, thereby destroying the principles upon which the government came to power. Any effort made to advise the leadership, met with stubborn resistance and was viewed as a challenge to authority or disloyalty.

Thus, the scene was being set for systematic elimination of what, was termed oppositions. All the energies of the rulership were directed at this imaginary opposition rather than to effective leadership.

The result of this misdirected effort is now very evident in the country as a whole. The government has started to drift. The economy does not seem to be getting any better as we witness daily increased inflation.

The nation’s meager resources are once again being wasted on unproductive ventures. Government has distanced itself from the people and the yearnings and aspirations of the people as constantly reflected in the media have been ignored.

This is because a few people have arrogated to themselves the right to make the decisions for the larger part of the ruling body. All these events have shown that the present composition of our country’s leadership cannot, therefore, justify its continued occupation of that position.

Furthermore, the initial objectives and programmes of action which were meant to have been implemented since the ascension to power of the Buhari Administration in January 1984 have been betrayed and discarded. The present state of uncertainty and stagnation cannot be permitted to degenerate into suppression and retrogression.

We feel duty bound to use the resources and means at our disposal to restore hope in the minds of Nigerians and renew aspirations for a better future. We are no prophets of doom for our beloved country, Nigeria. We, therefore, count on everyone’s cooperation and assistance.

I appeal to you, fellow countrymen, particularly my colleagues in arms to refrain from any act that will lead to unnecessary violence and bloodshed among us. Rest assured that our action is in the interest of the nation and the armed forces.

In order to enable a new order to be introduced, the following bodies are dissolved forthwith pending further announcements: (a) The Supreme Military Council (b) The Federal Executive Council (c) The National Council of States. All seaports and airports are closed, all borders remain closed.

Finally, a dusk to dawn curfew is hereby imposed in Lagos and all state capitals until further notice. All military commanders will ensure effective maintenance of law and order. Further announcements will be made in due course. God bless Nigeria.

PMB na their mama's husband!

This 2016 budget is the first time in the history on our current democracy we've not heard of any report of the executives bribing NASS with Ghana-Must-Go stuffed with dollars for easy passage. As such, the corrupt legislooters found it too tough to accept. They considered it an affront which they must confront, hence the padding. But they underestimated the General at their own peril.

If we've learnt anything from Buhari, we must already know that he sticks to his guns once he is convinced of his position. He is very dogged and unyielding on such issues dear to him and that has helped him to build a reputation that can only be wished for by his haters!

He unrelentingly contested for the highest office four times without minding all the insults, lies and disparaging from the opposition. He eventually became an elected president.

He refused to devalue the Naira which would have effectively submerged us in recession. Today, the economy has more hope of surviving because of it but haters don't know.

I am very very confident that PMB remains the only hope of straightening Nigeria and our ways.

WE ONLY NEED TO BE PATIENT WITH THIS ENIGMA.
