Nigerian Army has become a shadow of itself. Posting every operation on mass and social media just to get cheap encomium from Nigerians. This story is not worth the hype and also not worth reporting
It is you and your fellow wailing zombies that have become a huge joke.

If the NA didn't report their activities, it gives you guy bellyache. If the do without posting photos, you hyperventilate. If they do with pictures, you have nightmare!

One zombie after taking his usual weed claimed that Buhari has done well in security. Where is the security when you can't sleep with your eyes closed or walk freely within the country? If not herdsmen killing you with Army and police in their midst then it must be kidnappers coming after you in broad daylight. What type of security are zombies talking about?

You're a supporter of the apc, right? Paid or otherwise?
Did you manage to conveniently forget that your party controls the nass AND the presidency?
Do you and other party members plan to demand that your power brokers cut their income in order to make the new minimum wage a reality?
Also, as the party in power I'm sure you can direct all the worries in your comments straight to your party leaders. Pls make sure you give us feedback from them eh?
Typical of people with shallow childish reasoning

Politics › Re: NLC Proposes N56,000 As Minimum Wage To Fg by DropShot:
In as much as I support any move to improve workers' living conditions, I think it's time we faced reality.

The first thing NLC, TUC and other pressure groups need to be fighting day and night for is to force the political elites, especially the NASS members to reduce their pay. It's not enough to condemn and criticize their allowances and other benefits online without backing it up with serious protests. Once we're able to force the politicians to reduce their benefits to around 40% of what they get now, and with the war on corruption being fought with the unrivaled zeal we see now, soon, politics will become unattractive.

I also have issue against collective bargaining strategy of these labour bodies. Why don't we allow each state's union body to agree with their respective govt on what the realistic minimum wage for the state will be? I believe that's the only sensible thing to do.

Lastly, if we're to be sincere with ourselves, I don't see how the current economic situation can support increase in minimum wage considering that our earnings have seriously reduced. Besides, increase in minimum wage benefit those at the top rung of the ladder most. The workers who actually need the minimum wage the most (messengers, cleaners, drivers, etc) don't benefit as much as the top guns.

slimderek:

This information is for Nigeria people alone

CORRUPTION & WASTAGE: Buhari And Jonathan, At A Glance. FACT IS FACT.

1] Jonathan sold Petrol at N87 while Buhari is selling at average of N300 & above, yet Buhari supporters think Jonathan was more corrupt and wasteful.

2] When Jonathan Budgeted N1bn for feeding in Aso-Rock in 2011, and N517m in 2015, APC cried wolf and now Buhari's budget for same is N1.7billion. Yet Buharists are mute and still think GEJ was more corrupt and wasteful.

3] Jonathan spent N1.4bn to service all presidential jets in one year while Buhari spends N6bn on same in 6month yet Buharists
think GEJ was more corrupt and wasteful.

4] Jonathan gave more funding to education while Buhari's 2016
budget favours Ministry of information more than education
yet Buharists think GEJ was more corrupt/wasteful.

5] Jonathan spent an average of N8million on each international
trip while Buhari spends an average of N55million on each
international trip, yet Buharists think GEJ was more corrupt and
wasteful.

6] Jonathan created Over 5.8millon jobs in 5yrs while buhari has
sacked over 2million workers in 8months. Check Federal
Bureau of Statistics.

7] Jonathan made Nigeria's economy the best in Africa and No 1 investment destination & quadrupled our GDP in 4yrs while Buhari has dragged Nigeria's economy down to 14th position in ranking in just 7months.

8] Jonathan left Naira exchange rate @ N185 to $1 but Buhari with his Adama and Eve economics has destroyed the Naira in just 8 months which now sells at N315 to $1.

9] It took Jonathan less than 2weeks to select his cabinet including foreign based technocrats while it took Buhari 6months to do same. Even with indicted people and no single economist among the 36 names.

10] Buhari claimed that subsidy was fraud (Who is subsidizing who@) but buhari has spent N1.2trillion on fuel subsidy in the last 5 months and still no fuel while all Buharists have suddenly gone dumb.

11] Buhari/APC accused Jonathan of corruption but have not been able to pin one stain on him, while Muhammadu Buhari himself followed the crowd that entered into the #DasukiGate.

12] Under Jonathan freedom and liberty of Nigerians was not determined by party affiliation, but today under Buhari his perceived enemies and political opponents are leveled with frivolous allegations of crimes and intimidated with either the EFCC or the DSS.

13] Buhari does not have an Honorary WAEC but bags an
illegal Honorary (Ph.D) from a university that have no PhD student and Not approved by NUC and yet Buharists respect his NEPA Bill more than GEJ's PhD.

14. Buhari used his secondary school principal's recommendation letter to become Military Head of State and again used Court Affidavit to become President and no one reminded him that these are the height of corruption.
He Refused to declare his assets public, suppressing the FOI and denied all his 81 election promises and stayed in the last 8 months blaming former leaders. Jonathan was in that position, he never complained or blamed anyone, but faced his work even when Buhari's disgruntled brother ensured that Nigeria will know no peace. - Hope For Nigeria
Is it campaign time for 2019 election already?

Chai, see frustration!

There's a misinformation here. At no time during this 2016 budget impasse that the President submitted any Supplementary Bill as you claimed. He only forwarded an amendment to the first proposal after it was discovered to be riddled with padding and errors. Besides, no supplementary bill can be submitted when the substantive bill has not been passed/accented by the National Assembly and the President respectively
Yeah, you're right. My bad!

How can Amaechi defend what the president did not send to NASS?
Why would u say it was removed to accomodate selfish interest when u first acknowledged it was not in the bill submitted by the president.
The supplementary bill was transmitted officially from the presidency with the president's signature.

Nothing new in this report as we've known the details about how the Lagos-Calabar rail project was removed.

1. Not part of the original budget submitted by PMB.

2. Later submitted through an amendment to the original budget.

3. It was defended by Amaechi as acknowledged by Chairman Committee on Land Transport.

4. Was submitted by the committee to the Appropriation Committee from where it was removed to accommodate selfish interests.

Keep praying and wishing things don't improve so your wrong choice at last polls is justified.

We are very confident things will improve very soon. This govt will deliver the change to the surprise of haters.

And should your wish and prayer for failure be answered, na all of us go still surfer am. Whichever way, you lose.

Very possible.

Prices are sticky up, and it would take a great deal of supply to mop up the huge demand right now.

This is a helpless situation the governor finds himself since Buhari has refused to give orders to the armed forces to go after his fulani kinsmen. It seems buhari enjoys watching the blood of dogs and baboons getting socked.
But we have read and seen the army arrest and parade some herdsmen with weapons!

The truth is that, by their modus operandi, the herdsmen do not stay in a particular location for long. They're always on the move.

So, I expect all state governors to initiate measure to provide security and safety for their citizens before the FG finds a permanent solution.

While I agree that some of my brothers took it too far, what will you do when in the end, you decide to retaliate and then you are arrested like we had with the 76 youths arrested in this same state? And then the military is sent to patrol and quell any unrest that might arise?

I am still trying to understand what made him say that. undecided
The fact remains that the security personnel will arrest anyone who foments trouble as long as they are within reach.

The herdsmen commit atrocities then escape; no one to arrest. The people who decide to attack them as a form of reprisal attack don't always get to escape and as such can be easily arrested. So, who loses?

The state govts also must up their games in providing security for their citizens. What happens to establishing numerous, responsible security outfits in the mold of Bakassi Boys, OPC, etc to curb the excesses of these criminals before the FG finds a permanent solution?
Politics › Re: Governor Ugwuanyi Weeps As Fulani Herdsmen Ravage Community by DropShot: 2:52pm On Apr 26, 2016
Very unfortunate.

While I will support anyone to criticize and urge the govt to act very swiftly against the terrorists called Fulani herdsmen, this reality is the more reason to support the govt in its bid to establish controlled ranches across Nigeria.

Chest-beating and bragging (just like the guy below) that these terrorists will be dealt with should they come to carry out their act of terrorism of maiming and killing innocent citizens will not solve any problem but instead worsen it. They are terrorists and you bragging to face them are not. So, who wins?

The herdsmen, from time immemorial, have been known to be violent and act irrationally. The only difference now is the advent of social media and better news coverage. While growing up, I could recollect some of their atrocities I witnessed.
