Please, what leverage and volume you can suggest on $100 capital for a beginner using MT4? Thanks.
broh,12ema has said it all but i will suggest in my humble opinion to look fr a reputable broker with trading bonus that will boost your trading margin with the offered leverage. But u will be carefull not to withdraw from such account until u have reach a 70% ROI and above so u dont fall for d bonus trick as it meant only to boost your trading margin.however feel free to PM me if u need my trading system with compounding/MM system so u cn define ur volume and risk/yield ratio bfre placing any trade, but on 2 conditions to follow it rules, and demo trade with it to gain confidence which makes you a automatic member of my trading network ........Happy Trading

To those who say there's no God- how did all these come about? By accident or by design?
I'm not an atheist and I don't think I can call myself a pantheist. We are in the position of a little child entering a huge library filled with books in many different languages. The child knows someone must have written those books. It does not know how. The child dimly suspects a mysterious order in the arrangement of the books but doesn't know what it is. That, it seems to me, is the attitude of even the most intelligent human being toward God.

16. But that’s nothing. Again, as Carl sagan once mused, there are more stars in space than there are grains of sand on every beach on Earth:

some Trading Quotes from notable investors

"The most important thing in making money is not letting your losses get out of hand."

Marty Schwartz

"I always define my risk, and I don't have to worry about it."

Tony Saliba

"The key to trading success is emotional discipline. If intelligence were the key, there would be a lot more people making money trading... I know this will sound like a cliche, but the single most important reason that people lose money in the financial markets is that they don't cut their losses short."

Victor Sperandeo

"I think investment psychology is by far the more important element, followed by risk control, with the least important consideration being the question of where you buy and sell."

Tom Basso

"If I have positions going against me, I get right out; if they are going for me, I keep them... Risk control is the most important thing in trading. If you have a losing position that is making you uncomfortable, the solution is very simple: Get out, because you can always get back in."

Paul Tudor Jones

"The elements of good trading are: (1) cutting losses, (2) cutting losses, and (3) cutting losses. If you can follow these three rules, you may have a chance."

Ed Seykota

"When I get hurt in the market, I get the hell out. It doesn't matter at all where the market is trading. I just get out, because I believe that once you're hurt in the market, your decisions are going to be far less objective than they are when you're doing well... If you stick around when the market is severely against you, sooner or later they are going to carry you out."

Randy McKay

"I'll keep reducing my trading size as long as I'm losing... My money management techniques are extremely conservative. I never risk anything approaching the total amount of money in my account, let alone my total funds."

Randy McKay

"The fundamental law of investing is the uncertainty of the future."

Peter Bernstein

"There is the plain fool who does the wrong thing at all times anywhere, but there is the Wall Street fool who thinks he must trade all the time."

Jesse Livermore

"One common adage...that is completely wrongheaded is: You can't go broke taking profits. That's precisely how many traders do go broke. While amateurs go broke by taking large losses, professionals go broke by taking small profits."

Foreign AffairsCNN To End Broadcasts In Russia As New Laws Bite by drpips1(op): 4:43pm On Nov 13, 2014
CNN will go off the air in Russia at the end of this year as a raft of new laws make life increasingly difficult for independent media.
Turner, the TimeWarner (TWX) division that owns CNN and CNNMoney, said it was ending agreements with local distribution partners on Dec. 31, but wanted to resume English-language international news broadcasts as soon as possible.

https://i2.cdn.turner.com/money/dam/assets/141111185058-cnn-russia-media-620xa.jpg

"We hope to re-enter the market in due course, and will notify our partners of any update about resuming these services," Turner said in a statement. Two channels aimed at children -- Cartoon Network and Boomerang -- are not affected by the move. They broadcast in Russian.
CNN has been in Russia for 21 years. Its Moscow editorial bureau is not affected by the decision to stop distributing programs.
Recent changes in Russian media legislation were behind the decision, Turner said.
Publishers and broadcasters not controlled by the Russian government have faced a challenging operating environment for years — Russia ranks 148 out of 180 on the World Press Freedom index compiled by Reporters Without Borders.
But the pressure has intensified this year. Russian officials have tried to tighten their grip on the media as the Ukraine crisis unfolded.

BusinessFive Lies That Could Be Ruining Your Career (and Your Life) by drpips1(op): 11:06pm On Nov 10, 2014
We humans are really great at telling ourselves stories. That voice we hear in our head recites some pretty interesting narratives so often and so frequently that we really start believing them after awhile. These stories we keep thinking turn into our beliefs about ourselves, others and the world in general. They actually create our reality. The thing is, they only create our own reality, and there are as many different realities in this world as there are human beings. And that's good, because it means the reality we live in isn't already fixed - our thoughts have the power to change it every minute of our lives.

Day to day, I meet a lot of people's stories. They sound a lot like "I don't like my job, but it pays the bills", "' This 'following your passion' stuff is B.S. But you can't make any money at it", "I don't really have a passion for anything. Maybe if I did, I would do something else, but what's the point?", or "I've got a family that is counting on me, so I have no choice but to stick with this job I hate for now". My guess is that you've heard these stories too. Perhaps one of them is even yours.

Though these stories may seem like very true statements to some people, they are, in fact, lies. Lies people tell themselves that keep them in jobs and careers and relationships that are bad for them. How can you tell they're lies? Because lies keep us in situations that are bad for us. When we're telling our truth, it feels good - it feels right. But it's often easier to have a victim mentality that the cards have been dealt and whatever you've ended up with is all you'll ever have, or that you really have no options left, except terrible ones, and everybody knows it. The stories we tell often start out as protection for our ego; they make us feel better about bad situations by pretending that things are out of our control or someone else's fault and there is just nothing we can do about it. But then they spiral into excuses and beliefs that have the potential to ruin us.

You may be thinking, "I don't lie to myself! Everything about my situation is true!" If you want to know what stories you tell yourself, then take a good look at the state of your relationships, your home, your career, your health, your bank account -- they are perfect indicators of the stories you believe. If your stories are true, then you are content with everything you see. If you're lying to yourself, then what you see isn't good enough for you. You're disappointed in what you have and what you're doing. Wherever you feel disheartened or dissatisfied, take it as a sign that your story is holding you back and could use some changing up. The best way to change our stories? Question them. Speak your story out loud and then ask yourself, "Is it true?" (Spoiler alert: it isn't!) Chances are, you can think of a much truer, much better story to tell in its place.

So let's practice.

The top five lies I hear from the professionals I coach go something like:

1) I haven’t found my passion / I don’t have a passion. Is that true? You cannot think of one thing that you love doing or being? Is there something you do better than most other people you know? If you had a free day all to yourself to do whatever you wanted in the world, could you think of something you might gravitate toward?

Change the story: Instead of "I haven't found my passion", replace with "There are many things I love doing".

2) I can’t afford to leave the job I don’t like. Really? The only way on this earth that you have to earn money is the job you are in right now? Is there nothing you're able to cut out of your current budget that would allow you to be more free? Can your body, your relationships, your long-term career aspirations afford for you to stay in the job you don't like?

Change the story: Instead of "I can't afford to leave the job I don't like", replace with "I can't afford to stay in a job I don't like."

3) It’s too late to change direction now. Is that really true? How many years of life do you think you have left? Now multiply that by 8,765, which is the number of hours in each year. Is that really too little time for you to change direction? Malcolm Gladwell's book, "Outliers", tells us you can be great at what you do with some ability and 10,000 hours of practice. Never put off a goal because it will take too long -- the time will pass anyway. Might as well spend it working toward a goal that makes life fun.

Change the story: Instead of "It's too late...", replace with "If I start today, the journey of 1,000 miles starts with the first step."

4) Pursuing my own happiness is selfish. I have a family to think about. Seriously? There is a reason that the flight attendants tell you in case of a sudden loss of pressure in the cabin to put your oxygen mask on before helping others. How helpful are you to your family and friends when you're gone, depleted, sick, resentful, or angry because you haven't taken care of yourself? (Hint: you aren't) How would your household be different if you were busy pursuing a life that serves you and honors who you are and what you have to give?

Change the story: Instead of "pursuing my dreams is selfish", replace with "showing my children what living a fulfilled life looks like is the best way to enrich theirs."

5) I hate my job now, but I will be happy as soon as I [get the promotion/finish the project/collect my bonus/get my degree]. Are you sure? This one thing is all that is holding you back from happiness and liking your job? How long do you think you'll stop hating your job after you accomplish this magical goal that will make you happy? Happiness experts tell us it's pretty temporary. I like The Dave Matthews Band take on this - "the future is no place to place your better days". Happiness is a choice that you make. It isn't a magical feeling that is bestowed upon us from some outside force.

Change the story: Instead of "I'll be happy when....", replace with "I could be happy now."

We all have our stories. And if you're wondering why your life isn't turning out the way you planned, know that its only a story you tell yourself. It isn't the Truth. Question your narrative about your situation and give yourself permission to believe in something better. It is the quickest and most effective way to change your life.

HealthCheap Blood Pressure Drug Cures Diabetes In Mice, Human Trials Announced by drpips1(op):
Funding has been secured for a clinical trial of a drug that not only prevents mice from getting type I diabetes, but actually reverses the condition if it has already taken hold.

Verapamil is a calcium channel blocker used to treat hypertension, irregular heartbeats and some sorts of headaches. It has been approved for some of these purposes for over 30 years.

Verapamil has dangerous interactions with some other drugs. However, while side-effects such as nausea and swollen feet may be unpleasant, the dangers are seldom life threatening, and generally a better alternative to having diabetes. Such a history of long-term usage should shorten the clinical trial process and improve the chances of gaining regulatory approval.

The potential application to diabetes arises from the discovery by Dr. Anath Shalev of the University of Alabama, Birmingham (UAB) that verapamil lowers the level of the protein TXNIP in pancreatic beta cells.

Back in 2002, Shalev, then at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, began a search to find the gene that responded most strongly in the pancreas to excessive glucose levels. This turned out to be the TXNIP gene. Moreover, TXNIP's full name is thioredoxin-interacting protein; high levels of thioredoxin have been shown to keep the pancreas' insulin-producing islet beta cells alive.

Shalev began to suspect TXNIP suppression might be the key to fighting diabetes, and subsequent tests in rats, mice and islets isolated from humans have lent weight to her theory.

“We have previously shown that verapamil can prevent diabetes and even reverse the disease in mouse models and reduce TXNIP in human islet beta cells, suggesting that it may have beneficial effects in humans as well," Shalev said, announcing plans for the clinical trials.

Most recently, Shalev revealed that TXNIP can stimulate its own expression. "These findings support the notion,” Shaleve wrote, “that TXNIP levels rise over time, not only as a result of elevated blood glucose levels and/or endoplasmic reticulum stress, but also as part of a vicious cycle by which increased TXNIP levels lead to more TXNIP expression and thereby amplify the associated detrimental effects on beta-cell biology including oxidative stress, inflammation, and ultimately beta-cell death and disease progression.”

The JDRF funded trial will involve 52 newly diagnosed patients with diabetes, half of whom will be put on verapamil and half on a placebo. All patients will continue to receive insulin pump therapy. “That is a proof-of-concept that, by lowering TXNIP, even in the context of the worst diabetes, we have beneficial effects,” says Shalev. “And all of this addresses the main underlying cause of the disease — beta cell loss. Our current approach attempts to target this loss by promoting the patient’s own beta cell mass and insulin production. There is currently no treatment available that targets diabetes in this way.”

Meanwhile Shalev is starting work on producing molecules with more targeted and efficient versions of verapamil's effect on TXNIP.

Christianity EtcPope Endorses Theories Of Evolution And Big Bang by drpips1(op): 3:44pm On Oct 30, 2014
Pope Francis has reiterated that the Catholic Church sees no conflict between science and religion, accepting the universe was created in the Big Bang, rather than insisting on a literal interpretation of the book of Genesis.

The position is not new. More conservative Popes have, in recent decades, endorsed scientific ideas that are anathema to fundamentalist Christians, particularly that humans descended from other species. However, since the first acknowledgment of this possibility the Church's position has, shall we say, evolved significantly.

https://www.iflscience.com/sites/www.iflscience.com/files/styles/ifls_large/public/blog/%5Bnid%5D/1024px-Pope_Francis_among_the_people_at_St._Peter%27s_Square_-_12_May_2013.jpg

The Vatican is remembered for burning Giordano Bruno at the stake for postulating the existence of many worlds, and forcing Galileo to recant his views under threat of torture. In recent times, however, Christian attacks on science have been more likely to come from Evangelical Protestants.

Nevertheless, when Pope Pius XII first acknowledged the possibility of evolution in 1950 his position was extremely grudging. His encyclical Humani Generis reads, "Some imprudently and indiscreetly hold that evolution, which has not been fully proved even in the domain of natural sciences, explains the origin of all things, and audaciously support the monistic and pantheistic opinion that the world is in continual evolution.” Hardly a glowing endorsement of what was by then overwhelming scientific evidence.

By the time Pope John Paul II addressed the topic, there had been a shift. In 1996, the then Pope said, “This theory [evolution] has been progressively accepted by researchers, following a series of discoveries in various fields of knowledge. The convergence, neither sought nor fabricated, of the results of work that was conducted independently is in itself a significant argument in favour of this theory."

Now, as part of a wider move to pull the Church into the 21st Century while also restoring its prouder traditions, Pope Francis has used language that carries the message more clearly still.

“When we read the creation story in Genesis we run the risk of imagining that God was a magician, with a magic wand which is able to do everything,” Pope Francis said. “But it is not so. He created beings and let them develop according to internal laws which He gave every one, so they would develop, so they would reach maturity.”

The Pontifical Academy of Sciences is a Vatican body designed to promote the mathematical and physical sciences. Among the nearly 50 Nobel Prize winners who have been members are such giants as Rutherford, Plank and Bohr .

Addressing the Academy on Tuesday, Pope Francis said, “Evolution of nature is not inconsistent with the notion of creation because evolution presupposes the creation of beings which evolve." Cosmologists, still wrestling with the question of what brought the universe into existence, might question his statement, “The big bang, which is today posited as the origin of the world, does not contradict the divine act of creation; rather, it requires it.” On the other hand, it is also not something that can currently be disproved.

PoliticsTotal’s CEO Killed After His Plane Hits Snowplow by drpips1(op):
Tributes poured in for Christophe de Margerie after the chief executive of France's Total [ FP-FR 44.425 +1.485 (+3.46%)] oil company was killed when his private jet crashed into a snowplow in Moscow. Three other people were killed, and the plow's operator was drunk, investigators said.
The plow operator was not hurt in the crash, which happened late Monday as the plane was taking off from Moscow's Vnukovo airport, authorities said.
"At the current time, it has been established that the driver of the snowplow was in a state of alcoholic intoxication," said Tatyana Morozova, an official with the Investigative Committee, Russia's main investigative agency. She said investigators are questioning the snowplow driver and other witnesses, The Associated Press reported.
French Prime Minister Manuel Valls called the 63-year-old de Margerie a "great captain of industry and a patriot." French president Francois Hollande expressed his "stupor and sadness" at the news. Russian President Vladimir Putin sent condolences.
Born into privilege as a member of the Taittinger Champagne dynasty, de Margerie still had the drive to succeed outside the business. His parents were Pierre Rodocanachi and Colette Taittinger, but he later adopted the name of his stepfather, Pierre-Alain Jacquin de Margerie. De Margerie leaves behind a wife and children.
