Dating And Meet-up Zone / Re: Iice Can I Meet You? by drrionelli(m): 12:30am On Nov 12, 2011 |
Well, this thread has reached 97 pages. STILL, most of us have yet to meet the charmingly chilly iice. But, that's fine. We still have her (and the ever-delightful ikamefa) among us. I feel that I, for one, would be overwhelmed by their exquisitely effusive personalities if ever I were to meet them! When I make it to Nigeria, I'm looking forward to meeting them, enjoying a fine Nigerian meal with them and getting a personal lesson in Pidgin from them! Provided, of course, that they could work me into their busy schedules! |

@2nex: A few things: As your posting isn't in standard English, I'm not sure I'm getting the point of it as completely as I should be. Secondly, is there a reason you repeated the question? Thirdly, why is this in "Jokes, Etc."? If you're asking what I think you're asking, then I'll say that there's nothing wrong with forging a relationship with this person. If it is, indeed, his first relationship, then he's likely not considering marriage, so why not? Provided, of course, that the woman in amenable to continuing the relationship on a less-than-permanent (for now, anyway) level. Give things time to develop. LET them develop--don't try to force or rush things. If marriage is being considered, then regardless of religious differences, the relationship must be given the same consideration as any other. Having things in common makes relationships easier and more straightforward. That said, having differences can make things interesting! |

I am increasingly convinced that I'll have to visit Nigeria TWICE--once to see the sights and meet the delightful people and a second time just to enjoy all of the wonderful food! |

Before this "discussion" gets angry and out of hand, perhaps cooler heads should, indeed, prevail. We each come to an acceptance of things through various ways of understanding. Some through replicative means (i.e., being able to recreate a situation or circumstance), and some through acceptance by faith (i.e., non-provable means). The two methods are not nearly as antithetical as might be assumed on first glance. Consider, for example, that there was a time when a solar eclipse was thought to be a manifestation of a divine "anger" (e.g., a punishment by taking away the sun). Well, we view things a bit differently, now. We now know that the world is not flat, but rather, spheroid. The examples are endless. So it is with our respective beliefs in a diety. As we learn more--and we should always strive to learn more--then we should more ably view not only our own ideas, but also those of others. Let's not allow our views to divide us. Let's allow them to bring us together, so that we might forge a common understanding for all. |
