Matter of fact, those who oppose the government the most insist those governors have but only ONE VOTE and their departure is being celebrated as "weeding the bad eggs".
How then do these same people complain we're heading to a one party state? Well, as long as freedom of association is still a part and parcel of our constitution, the president and indeed the APC, have done nothing wrong. With all due respect.. I really wish you can see the hand writing on the way. A WISE ONE ONCE SAID A STITCH IN TIME SAVES NINE. You sound as if you do not understand the meaning of drums of war. Arostar2023: Living is a risk. But you cannot compare Nigeria with the UK. If you went to the UK legitimately, with the right mindset, your chances of prospering out there outweigh that of Nigeria 10X. Let them keep deceiving themselves... some people will always complain even if you give them 1m dollars to go live abroad and start life ... They will still complain. Who in his sane mind would compare Nigeria and UK. Some are bitter becos they dont have the opportunity and resources to japa. Anymore u doing here in Nigeria , do it abroad will give you a better life. People are making it here , while some will always fail because of mismanagement and lack of planning but the fact is you can compare both standards. A cleaner in UK can own a house , buy car , go on vacations and still have a decent life. Where as in Nigeria na agony and wailing. |

Kemetian: UK:
Unemployment Underemployment - You have a degree but work as security guard or Uber driver. High Taxes Depleting your Income You pay rent. Road Tax Car Insurance Water rate Monthly hire purchase payment for your car. Electricity rate Heating and Gas rate Child care fees if you are working and have kids. Nothing like ''housegirl'' there. Council tax Income tax TV licence Phone rate By month end you're broke.
Otilo.
Only a matter of time before they tax you for the air you breathe.
Of what use is ''good road'' and ''good educational system'' when your life is crap?
There are good roads in Nigeria too. Leave your village and move to Abuja or Uyo or Enugu. Fine roads everywhere and highly secured.
What is ''sub-standard'' about the health care and educational systems? These are the same systems that have produced world class individuals in all spheres, from doctors to engineers and scientists all over the world.
A strong Iroko tree does not grow from weak roots.
Everything African is always ''sub-standard'' in your 'oyinbo' worshipping heads. Who nor get money go day beer bitter, Who get money to buy beer after he don high go say I will never drink alcohol again beer nor good for my health.. BUT SOMEWHERE LIES A BALANCE . CHOOSE WHERE YOU RATHER BE.. |

Oh Africa, blessed continent plagued with bad leaders and docile people.. where some people sleep outside overnight and still carry on fine the next day.. Go try am in UK or Canada and see if you'd live to tell the story.
Pls what part of Nigeria can you sleep outside and you still have your head or organs intact the next morning..
Lastly, Government should do something about these education agents deceiving Nigerians about opportunities abroad, most Nigerian youths are now stranded because of false assurances from these agents.
If you must work in Nigeria, get a Nigerian degree.. If you go U.K, then don't come back to look for work in Nigeria. Stay there and stay jobless if you don't get job. As simple as that. That's the only way that Education in Nigeria and Africa will improve and have more worth. |

YourKarma: I guess you've never paid school fees for someone because if you have, you'll know tuition is always very cheap. Only tuition is subsidized by the government, nothing else is, and in the end you'll still spend a fortune. Tuition is usually not up to 200k but when you add other expenses you'll see yourself spending up to 2 million naira in a year. Take this from someone who is training his wife in a university as a medical doctor Funny thing is that Nigerias education isn't subsidised by govt. Our standard of education is low. Our education system is cheap . It's a cheap standard of education... lecturers are paid peanuts, the lecture theatres are poor, poor infrastructure, learning aids, poor hostels. The budget for education is smaller than the budget for Aso rock in a year... let that sink. |

Yes sir.. I know nurses who save 1k from less than that.. Rent 700 2 bedroom flat Bills max 600 Feeding.. u won't even finish 500 As a doctor comfortably more if u want to It all depends on how u want to live.. you can decide to rent a home of 2k a month while others rent 600 to 1k ... every house has the basic in UK...24 hrs light, heating , water and glass or electricity for cooking. 1k house in stoke city for example is a big 2 or 3 bedroom detached house with garden at the back . |

Commentor: The money is poor.
Ask your uncles and aunties I'm UK. That's basic salary.. no doctor takes home less than 3k home in the UK... and that's their house officers which is like the junior of the junior doctors... Nigerians after plab 1 abd 2 start working in the UK fron FY2 position minimum and rarely.. most .. more than 95 percent start as resident doctor which is SHO. There take home is 3.5 to 4.5 depending on you call duty. At the end of the month you can save min 1k easily even if you reckless with money... So that 1k is even more than what you earn in 6 months in Nigeria.. you can't even save 1k or 2mil naira in a year working as a doctor in Nigeria except it ur own hospital. A year you can save 12k easily and that like 24mil And you still have money in your account |

No be to hide behind a finger to fool people;do the breakdown for us Basic salary is about 2.5k to 3k. After calls and night duty enhancement .. take home is between. 3.5k to 4.5k depending on your rota Rent ... 1k Feeding 500 Electricity, gas, Internet, council tax 500 1.5 to 2.5k bal for you 500 for miscellaneous you can still save 1k to 2k safely every month. Some people don't even spend up to this amount monthly |

Can't you read... that's there take home after tax, pension ...
Honestly it even more than that... that is just basic salary.. other enhancement like night duties makes it bigger.
I Junior doctor in UK earns a minimum of 3.200£.
Some earn as high as 4500 monthly after tax and pension especially those that are on 48hr hours contract weekly.
Your rent , feeding and other bill can't take more than 1800 to 2200 . So bad as e bad you will have over 1k to 1.5 minimum for saving every month . Which is more than what some some doctors earn in a years...
Let me repeat it.. your 1k savings at the end of the month 2m naira is more than what some Doctors earn in total In Nigeria |

The game can still go both ways so I am not writing any of them off. Arsenal can't not win psg. It's going to be home and away win just like Newcastle. 2nd leg will be 2 or 3 nil. Arsenal won't score. You don't know this Arsenal team. They don't have the mentality, technical ability, players and even coach to go away and win psg at home. haybhi1: Always exercise your 0.2kb worth of brainn na... every exam needs you to be present sometime before it starts. I know your lack of intelligence would want to suggest they start by 12 forgetting the myriad of factors that make that uneasy—for instance, those who have to travel long distance. Besides, most major exams in the world are done in the morning and requires your presence before the exam.
You probably never wrote any professional exam your whole life though, so I won't really blame you. Trying to sound intelligent but you take is stupid. Why is the exam or clearance starting by 6am . What is the benefit. Why can't clearance be 8 and exam starts by 9am. Where in the world do they write professional exams in the early hours of the morning or set arriva time to put you at risk of leaving you house when it's still dark. All professional exams I have written started 9am or after. In UK school starts by 9am |

haybhi1: Lemme give you some education for what your fortitude lack.
Do you expect them to write JAMB in their room with the level of corr**tion that's already seen in WAEC?
Are you aware you have to travel across the international oceans to write some exams, for instance, USMLE III in the US?
Are you aware some universities, like LASU, don't conduct post-UTME, but rely only on JAMB?
Are you aware that if you register early for JAMB, you absolutely don't need to travel at all?
Do you know that because Obi attac*ked JAMB's modus operandi doesn't mean it's faulty— and it might just be another of his usual instances of talking before researching?
Do you know you may be suff*erin g from anencephaly, because you seem to be dev*oid of the abil*ity to rea*son like a liv*ing-thing? Why are you comparing international exams to local exam. What is the essence of starting the clearance by 6.30 a.m. knowing fully well that to be there at 6.30am you might have to leave your house by 5.30 am or earlier which is quite a risk as it's still dark at this time. What extra important or benefits does starting the clearance by 6.30am give to starting clearance by say 8.30 am Sometimes you just have to wonder how we get to have all these leaders making stupid decisions |
