The question is most Nigerian federal , state and local government workers , how productive are they.

Does there input into the system generate that amount or they just want to be paid for doing nothing

Is the president, senators, reps that take home more than 30M monthly not federal, state governments workers. Why the gross disparity in their wages compared to the masses.

NMA is a union and not a licencing or regulatory authority. MDCN is the licenciannd regulatory body for doctors and dentist.

You must be registered with the MDCN before you can be a doctor or practice in Nigeria.

ON the flip side you don't need to be a member of NMA to be a doctor or practice in Nigeria. In other words NMA is an association of doctors with a common in interest. Just like association of private hospital owners in Nigeria.

As for subsidy removal, even with that, we cannot earn enough money for qaulity universites. That is why I keep shouting we have to get off oil dependency, and improve tax quality

My brother , If you still believe that Nigerians or masses must continue to bear the brunt of govts looting, incompetence, financial recklessness and arrogance then I am sorry to say you must be suffering form Stockholm syndrome.

Countries who aren't as rich as Nigeria operate free quality education up to secondary level. You can't paint the problem of the country no mater the angle you try to take.. the issue of Nigeria is bad, evil, incompetent, poor, stupid, arrogant, clueless Government.

Yes, he is right.

(If you want to quote me to abuse me, you will be reported to the moderators. You can be mature about disagreeing with me)

The harsh truth is that funding our universities is a difficult thing. IN 2009, ASUU and government signed an agreement. BY 2013, the money had not been paid, and by 2018, about less than one third of the money promised had been paid...and that's it.

IN 2018, the then VC of ABU, Zaria, gave a speech. IN the speech he stated that his overheads were 600million for the year. Government gave him 120 million and told him to find the rest of the money...like how? That is how he ended up saying ....you want cambridge level, charge cambridge level fees.

You cannot pay fees less than 200000 and expect quality worth 2billion naira. It is not possible. I know that most of us are poor....and so forth, but the thing is, unviersites cost money. Too much money to run, to pay teachers and other staff, to buy equipment. Our universites are in an atrocious state, and paying such low fees, and then pretending we can reach the level of a Harvard or Oxford is a joke. The oil money we have, even if we fight corruption, cannot raise our universites to high level, without us spending over half our budget on the thing.

Yes, our fathers went to university for free...back when there were less than 7 universites with about 4000 students or less. Govt then could manage. Today, the numbers are going up.

God knows I hate the Tinubu loan scheme, and I know it would fail, but what are the alternatives? Taxation, we no gree. Punish corruptuion, we gree...until it is our side (See how people were angry at the US senate for going after GEJ, AND I know how BAT People get annoyed when bullion vans and drug money is mentioned, and then Obi and Pandora and money in the car...and then Atiku own self...lol)...then we no go gree. Pay ASUU their money, we no gree. Diversify the economy, we no gree. Industrialise, we no gree.

Either we find 30 trillion naira every year. or more for education alone, or we just accept that tuition fees is all that is left. Nigeria is a broke nation. The corruption makes it worse. And even if we fought the corruption AS WE SHOULD...it would still not be enough.

My issue with what you wrote is this..

Why is it that when ever something isn't working in Nigeria, the citizens are made to bear the burden ? Why can't you advocate that the political class should cut their salaries and allowances and also channel the money been looted continuously in Nigeria towards this issues. Why must it be the masses to always bear the burden. Don't you people have conscience.

Since the prices of commodities blew outta proportion Why is the Govt yet to increase minimum wage in response to the inflation.

Where are all the funds we have gained from subsidy removal and floating of the naira.

Right now there are first class private hospitals in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt who handle elite patients from places like Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Liberia, Guinea, South Sudan, Sierra Leone, DRC, and other places.

They fly in quietly and do CT scans and other stuff not readily available in their countries. They pay in dollars and fly back home quietly.

WHAT MAKES YOU THINK WE WILL NOT HAVE SUCH HOSPITALS IN NIGERIA?

There are NUMEROUS Nigerian doctors who have RELOCATED from the US and established top medical establishments here with state of the art equipment.

Some of them even have foreign patients they treated when they worked abroad, who insist on still seeing them, even if they’ve moved to Nigeria. They fly in here, get their check-up and fly back out.

My guy you know nothing about the Nigerian health sector. Even our neighbouring African countries have better hospitals than Nigeria.
The hospital with MRI or CT scan imagines working 247 is not up to 5% of the total hospitals.
Have you ever seen a foreignal book flight and visa and say he is coming to Nigeria for medical intervention ... even less complicated procedures like botox or plastic surgery ... never
You just want to argue what you don't know. South Africa hospitals is the closest to developed countries hospitals in Africa and even then its 1 or 2 that leave their countries to come there

Nigerians that go abroad and come back to establish mega hospitals, have you ever gone in there to see their standard of treatment? They still employ incompetent and cheap labour to maximise profit. You will see the abroad trained doctor acting as orthopaedic doctor, gynaecologist, paediatrician and all in his private hospital in Nigeria.
Have you gone to a hospital abroad? Only viginal delivery that a woman want to do .. there will be a paediatrician, paediatric nurse, neonatologist, O and G specialist on ground and active. In Nigeria if you get a doctor on ground you are lucky. If he is even around he will be with other patients.
Abeg make I nor talk before I expose too much.

Just 1 question for you is the Nigerian govt responsible for these hospitals or they are private.
If they are private the health minister has no business boosting about the good state of the health sector. If you Don get the argument or what the health minister said ans means that's your problem. You are dumb

Secondly no American or uk citizen leaves his or country and flies to Nigeria for medical treatment like our rich citizens or politicians do. The foreign people you see in private hospitals are are people currently residing in Nigeria either for business or holiday and they do so cos that the closest and fastest option as at that time. And when it becomes serious they still fly back to their developed countries for expert treatment.

So get that into your myopic and delusional mind. No foreignal flies from his country to Nigeria for medical treatment.

I worked as a specialist Dr in St Nicholas hospital in lagos lwhich is one best hospitals in Nigeria before going abroad and I can comfortably tell you , you are just assuming in your head and basing you conclusions on assumptions.

Have you ever seen or heard that they are bringing someone from USa , uk or Europe to come and have kidney, liver, or whatever transplant in Nigeria. It is always the other way round . Abi na president of USA or uk or Canada coming for checkup in Nigeria? The answer is no cos we don't have it. Our best brains are all abroad. We don't have the latest equipments . The best hospitals in Nigeria can not match up with govt hospitals in uk in manpower, equipment or any medical intervention. FACTS.

You are still making the same mistake.

You saved £5000 in a year in UK and you say you have made it?

Money that will not pay for 5months of Nanny care if you have kids.

Meanwhile N500k that is not even the equivalent of the pound amount, will pay for nanny care for 8months.

Whatever you have saved in US or UK, is for later expenditure where you are. Stop comparing it to what a Nigerian saved for later expenditure in Nigeria.

As you do not earn the same, you do not save the same, and you will never later consume the savings the same.

They are 2 separate economies, and they do not meet at the point of savings expenditure.

It's you who isn't getting it. If at the end of the year you save 5kpounds after your expenses for the year including nanny . Can the same person on minimum wage do the same I Nigeria.
If I go abroad and save even 3k yearly and come back to Nigeria after 10yrs with 30k pounds. the question is would I have been able to make that sane money let alone save it if I was doing the same job in Nigeria. The Answer is No.
There is reason why Nigeria is a poor and 3 world counties and others aren't.. it because GDP. You can't compare both economies my friend. You can't compare 2 people both on minimum wage in uk and Nigeria. Facts. Let alone professionals.
There is what we call standard of living. You can compare a dr working in uk and the one working in Nigeria.

That $300 to $500 the career saved in a month, is it not savings that will later be expended in that same economy.

If I save in Nigeria, I save it to later spend in Nigeria, so same applies to the savings in the UK to be later spent in the UK.

Stop tying your UK savings to a future Nigerian expenditure.

Seems you have a learning disability. Your argument is that people don't make it in uk. And I just gave you an example of how people are more likely to make it in uk than Nigeria.
Where they finally spend their money doesn't matter , the argument is have they made it or not over a given time compared to Nigeria. Ie carer in uk can save 3000 to 5000 pounds yearly while a minimum wage earner in Nigeria can't save 1/10th of it.
Extrapolate that over 10 to 15yrs and tell me who has made it.

I do not mind doing it for a job or immigration to the USA where opportunities abound for even the very 1st generation of the immigrant family, but UK is a big NO.

The majority of Nigerians who have been in the UK since the early 1980s, they have not made it till today. Their children have not made it too.

The wise 3rd generation have embraced sport and entertainment, so that the curse of the UK will not happen to the 3rd generation of the family.

If you go to the UK, you are going there to suffer so that maybe your 3rd generation family can finally live wealthy.

So because you have 1 uncle or aunt that didn't make it In uk , every body who went to uk never make it. Even in Somalia , some Nigerians still make let alone uk.
As a carer in uk who earns minimum wage if you work hard and spend wisely you can save 300 to 500 pounds monthly after all your expenses. How many Nigerians on minimum wage can save the equivalent in 1yr in Nigeria.

Some people just come on the Internet and sprew trash. Shaibu even said it in his statement that he got 1 vehicle during an 8yr tenure. Let's even assume he didn't get any does that give him the right to convert govt properties to his personal properties.
The vehicles are govt properties and he has no right over them , we all know he didn't even use his personal money to repair them .
How many govt workers have all the tools they require to do their jobs fully provided by Govt ? . He is just a stupid thief , he lacks common sense and he doesn't even know how to talk .for a one time deputy governor he is a disgrace, lacks character and awareness. Kyng1:
Good morning Nairalanders, I will try to make this as brief as possible.

It happened last two week's Friday, after sleeping with a prostitute, the sex laster about 49 mins and after ejaculation I saw thick red blood all over my dick, it happened that she was on her period, and hide it from me, which she denied that she thought it has completely dried off, I'm mad at myself because I didn't use a condom. "I haven't been using condom with her though, I last had sex with her about a month plus that was the evening of my marriage day, since then I haven't called or had sex with her, until I went back last two weeks Friday.

So after everything, I went home that evening and took 3 cipro tab, next day, my groin was extremely painful and the lymph nodes on my groin swelled. Two days later I developed a mild fever, accompanied by a light headache, bitter mouth and 4 day's later I had sore throat, and swollen lymph nodes on my both under jaws and front of my right ear. Until now my throat is still sore.

I have taken full pack of cipro tab and other drugs but it's not working, I did syphilis text on Saturday and it came back negative, yesterday I went for more text but the lab attendant isn't around, so I met the Dr on duty and explained everything that happened, he told me not to waste my money to conduct more tests that what I have is chicken pox and not an STD infection, I disagreed because I have previously had chicken pox about 11 years ago, although I had just one boil close to my nose back then when I contracted it.

So he gave me these drugs below, I swallowed it last night and applied the lotion, but instead of the boils to dry down, they became more fresher and ripe when I woke up this morning.

I went to another lab this morning and the Dr I met told me that it's chicken pox, he gave me drugs and injection. I'm highly hoping for it to be effective.

Please, Dr's in the house is this really chicken pox? They're all over my face, little on my head, arms, legs, stomach, beards and back.

Honestly I don't think this is chickenpox judging from the isolated and clustered lesion on your groin but this is only a picture and not even a full body picture so I might be wrong.

However if its chickenpox why are you taking antibiotics? Chicken pox isn't caused by bacteria but virus.

I strongly suspect you have GENITAL HERPES. The history of recent unprotected sexual intercourse, painful ulcers around the groin, enlarged and painful lymph nodes are all hallmark of this disease.Which actually presents with multiple painful genital ulcers or lesions. Would be also nice to rule out .syphilis and haemophilus ducreyi.

But I am almost certain it's not chickenpox. Are u sure it was a doctor u saw. How u you have unprotected sex , next day u have ulcers around ur groin, fever , and enlarged lymph nodes and a doctor is suspecting chickenpox it doesn't make sense for me.

I get pissed whenever I see a man typing hardworking to describe a lady. Men of these days are just after women to drain, if not for the harsh society a woman is naturally not created to work.

Modern men are just after women that will take up their role, it's the mentality for me, so disgusting.

If a woman chooses to work, it's to take care of herself and not for any man to come leech on. Mtcheww

This is the entitlement mentality we talking about. Who told you women were created not to work? What does it then mean when God created women to help man.
And you also said if a woman should work , it should be channelled towards taking care of her self. Sorry you sound very selfish and have this olosho mentality.
