There will be plenty of white christian slave masters in hell. Plenty of white christian missionaries in hell.

Your going to be up to your neck in Christians in hell. The worse kind of Christians.

Afeni,

Going to hell will not get you away from Christians.

In hell your going to meet more people who call themselves Christians, then you will in heaven.

Afeni,

Pre-Jesus people are welcome also.

Afeni,

I believe there are many different paths to Jesus Christ. So have any religion you choose. grin

Afeni,

Fighting against God (the Only True God -the God of Christianity) is like fighting the wind.

Even to me, it is obvious that God has you by the neck right now.

You are already His, this is why you fight so.

Afeni,

I suppose bumping your own head could be fun the first time or so.

Afeni,

Good idea.

Afeni,

Thank you.  I agree. I think we have a lot of Yoruba's for sure.

I have thought it interesting that scholars from Nigeria have come to Haiti and other places to study the religion, because some of the religion has survived in a undistorted form in Haiti.

Now I do not know the difference between Igbos, Hausa, Yoruba's, Fulani's.

What I do know, is that people who say their from Nigeria (the ones who have identified their tribal affiliation were Yoruba's), do in fact have the facial structure of African Americans more than other Africans.

Me and my sister always joke about, with Nigerians, until they open their mouth, you can not tell if it is an African American or not.

With the other Africans you can tell, body language, facial features, style of dress is even different with Nigerians dressing more like how we would think of as normal.

Of course I am aware that in small pockets of America, there are African Americans who still speak Yoruba and particularily in Brazil and Cuba.

So I know that a lot are here.

However, this would be my question. Some historians say that the Yoruba's were bigger in ancient times and then other tribes have now formed that were originally just broken off from Yoruba.

I do not know, I just ran across that the other day.

Walter,

Don't you want to be known as the Giant of Africa? As some brag? Don't you want to be the biggest Black Nation on earth? As some others claim on another site?

I guess that pretty much ends the good things to be said about Nigeria. It's the only things, I have seen some bragging about.

Who get's name rights? Who will be called the Naija people?

Stanech,

Are you absolutely sure that the British Colonial rulers were generous, humble and wise, when they ruled Nigeria?

Normally most people tend to think of the British Colonial rulers as greedy, prideful and foolish, when it came to their leadership in Africa.

So this view of the British Colonial rulers for others, tends to lead most to believe that Nigerians act that way because of course, it was the way they were taught to act.

That is why this period is referred to as Neo-Colonialism, Colonialism with a Black face.

However, maybe you have compelling evidence that would in fact prove that the British Colonial rulers were generous, humble and wise in Africa.

Thus showing how Colonialist could not possibly be related to what happens now in Nigeria.
Christianity EtcRe: Must A Good Christian Attend Church? by Drusilla(f): 5:20am On Jun 11, 2006
Going to a church building is of course not a salvation issue.

One can be saved even if they never enter a church.
ComputersRe: Best Computer Antivirus Software? by Drusilla(f): 3:56am On Jun 11, 2006
The reason I do not consider AVG to work is because of the fact that it's own files are constantly infected with Virus's.

I remember once watching it install and it installed a file called DarkAngel.

I was like what? I called them, they told me that someone had infected their installation files and they would soon have a cure.

If you can not protect your own installation files, what da , ?

Also I notice that if you have AVG and then switch to AVAST, AVAST immeadiately finds virus's on your computer, even though AVG was supposed to have you protected.

The first thing a person has to understand is that:

Slavery is easy. Being a free man is harder.

This is what the bible shows us in the Jews who wanted to go back to slavery in Egypt, rather than face the hard life of freemen.

So we as a people are always going to be faced with those who believe that we should go back to Egypt and who do as the Jews did in the bible and dream about the good things they had in Egypt as slaves.

Colonial/slave mentality --it's ancient.

""""There is nothing really libertarian its all a lie because by definition it means you can be free as long as your freedom does not infringe on others. How can your freedom not infringe on others? You are free to drive your car and cause pollution and deprive me of fresh air?""""

food4tot,

You make a good point. The idea that your freedom can not infringe on mine in a technological society is not true.

For instance, originally, a car was an oddity. People who still used horse and carriages were given the preferences.

Yet as more people bought cars, those who used horse and buggy's were pushed off the road and eventually forced to stop using the roads all together.

The same happenned for those who walked.

Now most are forced to live far away from conveniences because it is assumed that you have a car. All of society has been rewritten to give way to the dominance of the car.

A simple product that originally only the rich could enjoy.

A more recent case:

Your freedom may allow you to enjoy HDTV but what about the freedom of the others who do not own HDTV's?

Well now digital TV is the law of the land and all broadcasters must change over to digital TV.

Those who can not afford or just do not believe they should have to throw away perfectly good TV SETS, are being forced to do so. Or pay for converters that will allow old TV's to get the new digital signals.

Think of education and how it started in this country. It was initially started as a way for christians to have one place where their children could learn to read, so they could read the bible.

Now you will be put in jail if you do not make your child go to school.

My point is this, no matter how innocent and harmless your right to freely enjoy may seem when it first starts, it will in the end infringe upon my freedom in a technological society.

The Unabomber Letter actually explains this very well. shocked

""""Druscilla, yeah, the colonial masters treated our forefathers better than our leaders. Hmm, there is too much. How about the killing of twins and the abolition of human sacrifices? Colonialism put an end to this inhumane practises practised by our forefathers.""""

Ndipe,

How can one say: well at least the Europeans stopped the killing of twins and human sacrifices (which I question) but then ignore the many Africans that Europeans slaughtered during this same time period?
