TayoD:
I believe it is on this forum that I mentioned the fact that God recognises only three groups of people on the earth: the Jews, the Nations and the Church! Your reading of the book of revelation is very flawed because you fail to realise that it talks mostly about the end-times and the major characters involved in the end-times are the Jews and the Nations! The Church would have ceased to be on the earth at the time. So how you claim the Church is the harlot in the book of revelation is beyond me, because not only is the church in heaven at the time, it is clear from scriptures that the harlot is a physical city - a Nation other than the Isreal.
Israel was called a harlot several times for it's bad behavior.

In this sense, harlot has always referred to all such bad behavior that God's own people do.

Our current church is no exception. It's harlotry's are being copied all over the world.

Horus:
Religion is the root of all evil in this world and the sooner we dispense with it the better.
We just saw a 20th century with Athiest Empires and countries like the USSR and China and Vietnam, etc.

Kill off more people than most of the other centuries put together.

Maybe Athiesm is the evil in this world and the sooner we dispense with it, the better?
Christianity EtcRe: What Did You Learn At Church Today? by Drusilla(f): 11:26am On Jun 24, 2007
Reverend,

I was wondering what you could possibly be saying in this thread. Mess of course.

God is real and when He ruled over the Israelites, he gave them judges and levites, to make decisions about matters that concerned the people.

No dictator can be accused of running his country, the way God ran the Israelites before they demanded a King (who God warned them about the King going to turn out to be a dictator or tyrant.)
Christianity EtcRe: Where Will You Be When The Trumpet Shall Sound? by Drusilla(f): 11:20am On Jun 24, 2007
I assume you mean the last trumpet. (7 trumpets actually sound).

Lord willing, resting in my grave.

If not, probably talking on some message board. Smile.
Christianity EtcRe: What If The Devil Repents Today? by Drusilla(f): 11:16am On Jun 24, 2007
Joh 16:11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

Devil's chance came and went. He has been before the judgement sent and recieved his fate.

So no he can not repent.
CelebritiesRe: 2Pac's Grave Found: Is He Dead or Alive? by Drusilla(f): 11:11am On Jun 24, 2007
Tupac words were such, that it is hard to kill him, even if he is dead. He will live for a very long time. Smile.
PoliticsRe: Why We Called Off Strike - Labour by Drusilla(f): 11:07am On Jun 24, 2007
American analysts, were right after all. They said strikes are always threatened in Nigeria then called off at the last minute.
Christianity EtcRe: God Made Him Gay? by Drusilla(f): 10:44am On Jun 24, 2007
this is something that has been bothering me for a while now
at the university i go to they have this gay/straight alliance club, i recently joined it because
i wanted to know why some people are gay, while there at one meeting yesterday, i got the time
to interact with this gay boy, who strongly believe that God made him gay, now he said it wasnt by choice
but something that he always knew he was, at the age of 10 he knew he was into the same sex, he never
was interested in playing with little boys toys, but he prefered barbie dolls, walking in his mothers high heels, trying on
his moms clothes etc
the reason he believe God made him gay is because he has never in his life been interest in any boys stuff or females
but female stuff, make ups, putting on dresses, etc
i know some people are gay by choice , and they are some guys that people lable "oh hes gay" or he looks gay
because of their actions
just totally gay, that you cannot see them straight just completly feminine
Free,

I always get confused by this idea that a "man" wanting to be a "woman" shows they are gay? Since at the same time, we are told that being "Gay" is when a man wants to be with a man.

A man wanting to be with a woman who is really a man, seems more like abnormal heterosexuality. Which indicates mental illness.

If God surely made me and you straight-------men and women who enjoy the opposite sex, is it possible the same
God can make someone a lesbian or gay?
No. It would be the same as a serial rapist/killer claiming that God made him need sex in a way that ends up with the other person dead.

In what way that you are pleased sexually, is formed by your environment, not your genes.  I think someone already mentioned sexuality is a social construct.
Christianity EtcWhat Is The "error Of The Lawless"? by Drusilla(op): 8:27am On Jun 24, 2007
2Pe 3:15 And think of the long-suffering of our Lord as salvation (as our beloved brother Paul also has written to you according to the wisdom given to him

2Pe 3:16 as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which the unlearned and unstable pervert, as also they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction).

2Pe 3:17 Therefore, beloved, knowing beforehand, beware lest being led away with the error of the lawless, you fall from your own steadfastness.

You've got the patience of a saint. Thanks for taking the time to respond to all of that.
Christianity EtcRe: Where Do We Go When We Die? by Drusilla(f): 7:16am On Jun 24, 2007
ajadrage:
The day is coming when all go realise the truism of this statement, "the living are conscious of events, but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all". But what happens when we die, close your eyes and ears, you see that darkness, that emptiness, that nothingness, that is death for you. Absolutely nothingness until the dead hear the call
Finally peace and quiet. The bible calls death a "rest", calls it sleep 13 times in the NT.

I too believe that we await the resurrection before we join the Lord.

Yet since "we know nothing in death", I believe the time span between death and our meeting the Lord is "a twinkling of an eye", because we did not know we had been dead for however long until the resurrection. We just die and instantaneously wake up with the Lord, on resurrection day.
