Christianity EtcRe: Practising Your Faith Or Not? by Drusilla(f): 2:34am On Jun 22, 2006
TV/Gwaine,

Please pray for me, my prayer life is in the dumps and spiritually I feel 3/4ths empty. I need a refilling of the Holy Spirit.

I miss the Lord at times like these. Please remember me in your prayers tonight.

Psa 143:1-12 <A Psalm of David.> Hear my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness. (2) And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified. (3) For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead. (4) Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate. (5) I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands. (6) I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah. (7) Hear me speedily, O LORD: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit. (cool Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee. (9) Deliver me, O LORD, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me. (10) Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. (11) Quicken me, O LORD, for thy name's sake: for thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble. (12) And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.

Kazey,

Well, you have given me a lot to think about.

Nigerians who love to be colonized if you are good to the people.

I'll think about it. wink

Kazey,

Wait a second. Now you seem as if you are not sure. Was colonialization a good thing? Or not?
PoliticsRe: How Nigeria Got 'Independence'! by Drusilla(f): 1:15am On Jun 22, 2006
Kazey,

I changed my mind. You might be right.

Colonization could help Africa. A good long Colonization.

Kazey,

huh

Kazey,

I've heard that reasoning before. While the transition surely leaves something to be desired in a lot of African states (I have in mind the dirt did in the Congo to Lumumba), the idea that a longer colonialization would have helped Nigeria now does not seem to have been borne out when one looks at countries that have had a much longer colonialization -- like those in south America and Asia.

Their not generally in any better shape than Nigeria.

The really big difference between Nigeria and countries that knew Colonialization longer, is that they are not as naive as Nigeria.

Nigeria seems to have hope in it's ability to get on it's feet with European/American help.

As you can see, every south American country including just recently Mexico --are electing left wing governments on campaigns where America is most hated and Europe is not known as a friend.

So in that regard the other countries that have been colonized longer than Nigeria, are smarter than Nigeria.
BusinessRe: Why Is Africa Not Developing? by Drusilla(f): 10:06am On Jun 21, 2006
Kazey,

Go for it. I have already named the part that African Americans must do. The very purpose of our being firmly lodged in the west. Stopping the beast.

Africans will have to discuss what they will do if the beast is stopped.
BusinessRe: Why Is Africa Not Developing? by Drusilla(f): 9:55am On Jun 21, 2006
Kazey,

For me, development means this:

1. Every African child can eat.
2. Every African child can have clean water.
3. Every African child can have adequate health care.
4. No child is suffering war, refugee status.

We got to get the basics under control first before we can even talk about all that other stuff.

Afeni,

I do not think that would be any insurance against a Yoruban civil war, once the state coffers go to passing out the money, to the ones they like or favor or have the same faith with.

Afeni,

I think it would be even more prebendalism.

Then it will start to be the Southside Yoruba's, Westside Yoruba's. Etc.

Maybe the solution to Africa's Ethnic troubles is to put an end to Ethnicity's rather than continue on this course.

Africa is developing_____Unfortunately, they are developing Europe.

Europeans got rich from Africa, African labor and African innovation.

And this continues. In trade and merchandise and even in human beings. Europe gets all the good ones from Nigeria, those with half a brain run away and get out of Nigeria. So there is the brain drain.

At the same time Europe refuses to share with Africa.

Modern technology is generally not shared with Africa.

Africa is forced to sell generally only RAW GOODS to Europe.

Nigeria gives out oil and then must buy back refined.

Raw goods are the low end of the process. So Europe pays pennies for what they will make billions off of.

Africa's got the goods. Europeans make the money.

If any African nation tries to leave this system, he will have sanctions put on him and thus effectively block him from the refining and processing of the higher priced goods and selling them to Europe.

Europe continues to force African countries and all third world countries to bow to this system.

Europeans play one third world country against the other.

If some African country refuses to give banana's, Europe says so what, I will get them from South American country.

If some African country says, my banana's must be sold for higher price. Europeans say, nope. We will just get them cheaper from south American country or Asian country.

If Africans say the Naira is worth more than this amount, the Europeans say: You take our price for your money, or we will not let your money enter our system.

Europeans control the total and complete economic and thus the development of Africa.

Whether you want to believe that the guy at the store or the politicians at the top are Black.

Those who really control Africa are white and sitting in a nice bank or business in Europe/America.

The little king grabs control and bestows his favor on his subjects (and the European or American who gave him the weapons and military support to take control of course.)

Leveling the Playing Field

Americans and Europeans play both sides of the fence.

They support the current corrupt leader in power and then they secretly support the guys who oppose's the current corrupt leader.

This way Americans and Europeand continue to get what they want, they do not care which little king comes to power.
PoliticsRe: Prebendalism: Nigeria's Unique System Of Corruption! by Drusilla(f): 4:21am On Jun 21, 2006
Seun,

Ahh_____That is the same form of corruption found all over Africa.

We call it "the little king" for short.

It's not unique to Nigeria.

Mahmood Mamdani wrote a book about it.

Anton,

Good points.

I wouldn't blame the old folks though.

People do better when they know better.
