I work in an org where a top manager did a family event and so many red flags .. as he got back - he was quietly invited for investigations and subsequently let go.

A government official in Nigeria should not be having 7 billion naira for school fees unless he has a side gig. Has he declared his side gig? Do the same salary analysis for Farouk as you did for Nancy. What has been his annual salary?

NB All that has been said is to investigate not that he should be arrested and jailed. If indeed his funds are clean no wahala ...

Unless Dangote has evidence of misappropriated funds from NMDPRA, with documented evidence, this is defamation. Farouk should sue Dangote for false allegations and intent to defame. Money could have been inheritance,gifts,investments etc.
Do you know how many people have unexplained wealth in Nigeria, starting from Asiwaju Jagaban Tinubu ?
I suspect the Tinubu-cabal wants to remove Farouk Ahmed, they are just using Dangote to do the dirty job.

Dangote is just targeting the guy, because he is standing up to Dangote most likely. Very few people can stand up to him in the North.
They can disagree on policies and issues. Dangote can get financial forensics against Farouk Ahmed. Like documents showing how the money is siphoned from government coffers.
But saying a man is corrupt because he lives above his means in Nigeria. Is not really a good way to catch a thief. There are millions of people in Nigeria living above their means. Even the president was accused of living above his means.
Dangote's wealth might be public knowledge, but in Nigeria......Nobody's wealth is public knowledge other than him and a few others.
There are people in Nigeria with private jets and they don't have a job or any known business.
5 million dollars is not a big deal.

7 billion naira is not a big deal? For someone who is at the top of a key body to be living above their means is a big deal and a massive red flag.

The people you have just described are all red flags. In a working society, they will be investigated on tax, source of funds, and other points. What did you just post?

I have no problem with other states developing rather than Lagos being the only one which has functioning governors (even though IMHO Fashola was the last solid state governor). It is best in the long run for Nigeria if other states step up and even give Lagos a run for its money.

If people with money want to retire in Nigeria it is often only Abuja and Lagos they consider.. why? Infrastructure.

Congratulations to the people who got the awards. Can you imagine the service they would have done to get it? Who wouldn't be motivated to work in that organisation!!

First this is not true for all Nigerians and it is false generalisations. There are some Nigerians that would never do such because they rightly have the fear and spirit of GOD in them.

Second this is a human trait. History is filled with examples of where humans aided corruption.

Third I agree with you - it is when people are faced with the chance to have a lot of monies that you know their integrity. Similar to an ugly man claiming virginity because babes no dey chase am, a poor man should be careful to claim integrity when proper money never drop on his lap. May we never see what will make us lose our chances at eternal life.

There is something I tell my children - Just because I can do something, it doesn't mean I should do that thing.

There are consequences to every decision; foreseen and unforeseen. Congratulations to those promoted but the complaints are valid.

This is not the first move. Ask what Farouk has done for Dangote to release this information.
