Camberlo:Act of GOD? Sorry about your loss but your post is foolish. That person must lose their job for their incompetence. |
Princedapace:I stopped answering because I sensed the account might be trolling. When someone asks where Oyedele mentioned that high earning people will pay more tax, I know something is off. He or she is working off a set of assumptions. |
Image123:Kindly engage Oyedele so he can explain to you why high earners are paying more tax as he has often mentioned in his interviews. |
Image123:I will ignore the arrogance I am detecting in your post for the sake of having a civilised discussion. Firstly you are the person who asked what the rates were Secondly what ball park figure of salaries are you looking at? You think the persons I am referring to are earning 50m per year? I can confirm that people within a certain range are coughing up more monies under the new tax. The government has admitted this. Thirdly the return on tax for Nigerians who pay their taxes is poor. |
Image123:You don't know the rates and you are making the above statement. Nah... Also paying more can mean oppressive especially when the return on tax paid is very poor. |
Image123:True. I was very surprised to see that it is applied to POS payments. |
Image123:They pay a lot more under the new one than the old one. |
Wike and his allies may win this battle but he will lose the war. |
Image123:It appears it is not just on transfers but POS payments as well. |
It said, “Therefore, the rent relief of N500,000 is so insignificant given the personal allowances that other countries offer their citizens. In the erstwhile Personal Income Tax Act (PITA), every individual taxpayer was entitled to 20 per cent of income plus the higher of N200,000 or one per cent of income. The report recommended that “Since the tax bands and rates have been expanded, we suggest that the erstwhile consolidated personal allowance in the PITA be retained to promote voluntary compliance.” And The firm added, “It appears that the objective of these revisions is to ensure that low-income individuals are not taxed heavily. However, it is also not right that the tax payable by high-income earners should be oppressive. Finding the right balance is, therefore, critical. I agree with these parts |
We are overbeating this topic |
erniok2:My understanding is that she did sue and won in court. https://www.thecable.ng/kemi-adeosun-powerful-enemies-saw-nysc-certificate-saga-as-opportunity-to-force-me-out-of-office/ “No one resigned in finance but I did. Why did I resign? The day I resigned I went to go and see the president. I said, ‘Mr President, I need to go but I will go to court to clear my name’. “He said, ‘I absolutely support you. Because these names are leased for our children and grandchildren, right? They are going to inherit them’. “And then you destroy your name because you want to stay as minister. For what? “I sued the federal government. You can’t be suing the government and staying in the government. You can’t. You have to go. I think it is the right thing to do.” |
Is anyone denying that they are aware government agencies have issued fake documents to people? Kemi's defence is that government issued her a fake document. I wonder why someone didn't protect her then before she resigned. Maybe she had refused to play ball with the person. I do not know the full truth about Kemi. However the woman I have heard talk in person doesn't strike me like someone who would fake a certificate. If she did do so, then she is a damn good actress and should be punished fully according to the law. |
Nextjs:This is what APC were requesting the US do to GEJ back in the days ... This is unreal. |
This one is incomplete story. First of all what did she buy? Where did she buy it? |
May GOD bless her for this. |
Orlandoo:In what way? The one region in Nigeria that you can guarantee will not vote ethnically is the South West ... Check the voting pattern in all other regions. Also the Abejide fellow is clearly playing to the gallery. Let there be free and fair elections, as long as there is another candidate on the roll and it is not Atiku or El Rufai or Wike or their type, Tinubu would be out. |
There is a reason why these crooks didn't like Fashola. This is one of the routes monies get to certain people in Lagos. I won't be surprised if it has been exported to other states. Someone will wake up and start billing someone with no value from the monies collected for the payers. |
See as people make foolish comments limiting their descendants. 'He further said, “It is very unfortunate that a son wants to be bigger than his father because of power.”' Meanwhile me - I am declaring that my children shall be greater than me ... |
Says the person who is angry because Atiku didnt make him vice ... |
If this is true, hmmm No1. President - unwell No2. Vice President - not unwell No3. Senate Head - unwell Who is no4 to take over if all 3 are indisposed? |
People still fighting over which politician is best. North, South, East, West, Central - they are all fudging crooks. |
It is greed... |
zoomzoom:No it hasn't. I don't have much love for APC but the strikes will have no effect on his career. On the contrary it is those who are putting political ambition ahead of the lives of Nigeria whose careers are over. I will not be supporting voting for any of them ... |
I am now very curious as to how the new tax regs will handle this. Several wealthy Nigerians have foreign companies. Where will they declare their financial statements? |
Result 2 - https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/202000-panamapapers-tinubu-operated-12-shell-companies-tax-havens.html?tztc=1 This is some few secs of checking |
RichBoy247:He had 2 gas stations in London... Wow! And she used those to fund NADECO... Tinubu is saying he has multiple fuelling stations in London. Time for some research. |
gassbee:Wrong.. it is an headache if someone diverts monies meant for the common wealth to their own wealth. |
MadPolitician:KPOM! Chelle made a bone headed decision. Tunisia was hamstrung because the 2 DMs kept them in check. I don't know what Chelle was thinking but he should never do this kind of rubbish again .. his decisions make sense if we are chasing the game! Not when we are winning .. or did someone pressure him that he must give those players time? |
gassbee:Bitter and envy? What is this? Someone's past is cloaked in such secrecy that we can't even point to source of funds or education ... |
Emeskhalifa:No he ironed it after starching it ... |
