Bamidelefundz:

You're not using your jamb result for anything. If you're posted, all you need to do is login to the portal putme cache and input your jamb reg. To generate your RRR, then you use the RRR code to make payment to have access to the portal after you've done the payment stuff, you get the chance to update your data and scan your o level result, next you print out your screening report. That's all.
bro abeg you fi send link to portal putme cache?

Education / Re: Jamb Admission Consideration;reasons You Haven't Been Posted. by druxy(m): 10:03am On Jul 16, 2016
Zyzman:
Hello Jambite, I am an aspirant/jambite for the prestigious University of first choice Unilag and Thanks to God I have been posted To study my choice of course which I won't mention, I just want 2 list out Reasons most jambite haven't been posted.
Low score;
We all know most jambite score between 180 and barely made 210 and they expect 2 compete with candidates that scored 250 and above, logically speaking those with high score will be considered most.
High competitive course:
I think this is related to high score because since most candidate choose a particular course jamb is likely to consider those with high score by competitive course I mean courses like medicine, law e.t.c
Bad subject combination:
I believe jamb realize that we don't have much slot for candidates in our tertiary institutions so those with wrong subject combo for a particular course might not be posted or might have his/her course changed.
Corruption:
This deserves to be on the list I won't say anything on it so guys let move on
They are posting federal institutions first:
Guys I think jamb are occupying spaces in federal institutions with candidates after that they move on to state Universities then to polytechnics then college of education.
Lastly Catchment and merit we all know jamb stated in it admission guidelines that admission will be given to candidates by three pillars which includes merit(high score) Catchment(ethnicity) and ElPS(areas with less tertiary institutions)
I hereby drop my pen at this point and I call on all to send this to affected candidates as you don't know who might gain from this.

Yes in most cases sir, those who scored 290 are more intelligent than those who scored lower, it's obvious enough. There may be exceptions to the rule which may be due to distractions or unseriousness on the part of the 290 scorer or maybe the one who scored less than 290 didn't prepare well enough for jamb and now later buckled up after admission. But no way you will prove that someone with 250 is better than 290.
excluding 2016/17 jamb

bros calm down,it has been like this since the outset.. and even with putme it was still the same. it has also affected me once but there's nothing we can do about it because even the universities are in support of it and they have been using this method all along but there's a fowl play.instead of admitting elds, they fill the spot up with candidates that pay for runs, that is why jamb is solely handling the process to see to it that the elds are also given priority
yes ..and jamb is really doing a "great job"... they even conducted "the most credible" exam this year....dibu ojerinde himself said he's sure schools like ife...ui and unilag won't admit less than 200

Abraham4christ:

Jamb is starting from 180 to give admission there is probability that those who score 290,240,264 etc might have cheated in their examination.
and you think jamb will leave someone with 290 for 180cheated or not..they don't care about students

Bro I'm very sure. Firstly, go and check your admission status on their portal and if displays your data then you are qualified. Secondly, if you score more than the official cut-off of OAU (not JAMB) then you are good to go.
thanks boss...ha go do am tomorrow...shey you see anyone not yet posted but eligible?

Nigerian education is in a perilous time. If it takes Minister of Education to make decisive decision on simple matter of modality on admission policy, it worries how long it would take him to take measures in addressing moribund education sector burdened with myriads of problems. If leg dragging all this while would only produce this result after about 3 months, then he should have contacted or contracted UI to help his lazy mind and hands on this. After all no one is in doubt that UI has been using similar mechanism all along in admission processes.

I don't know how they want to resolve riddle of admission policy they are pushing. OAU is highly sought after University in Nigeria. Yearly, candidates who apply to OAU are conservatively more than 50,000. Those who yearly score 200 are not less than 10,000. After the grilling of defunct PostUTME, you would have about 7000 who scored above 200. Also the school runs Pre-degree programme with yearly intakes of about 2000. The present capacity of the school can hardly take more than 5000 per session. Now, giving admission to people with 180 is a problem. West, East and South are advanced in education. Most of students here score beyond 180 benchmark. Sending a boy who managed to score 186 from North is unrealistic and policy-failure. How would OAU navigate this thoughtless decision of Mr. Buhari's administration? Everything is not well with this man's shenanigan style. Morally, bringing such boys here is not healthy. This is a time in the history of the country when most of them are being or have been indoctrinated into jihadism. This cross-regional fraternity in education poses threats. Most of young people from North are intolerant of other people's choice of lifestyle. I perceive bad omens in offing.

More painful is the fact that choice of this man is crooked and I do not see anything tangible coming from him as a minister. This is a country filled and full of renown academics of long standing pedigrees but Mr. Mohammadu Buhari's choice was one Adamu Adamu. Nothing is hardly known about this individual. Search for any scholarship works written by him. In anyway Mr. Buhari has been leading this country with 18th century ideology in the name of "trust" he has in people from the section of the country he hailed from. Unfortunately, Mr. Buhari too would have done better if appointed Minister of War Against Corruption and other Allied Matters other than being President of Nigeria in the 21st century.
Father, this country needs light and deliverance.
wow...you just said it all...those that want post utme scrapped now see the result

1. Jamb already said 180 is the cut off.
2. From the thread about jamb and screening on front page, it was said that whether you are able to check your posting or not online your name has been sent to the school so you should go for your screening when it's time.
nah nah..the schools must have given a general cutoff....

also ..in one of the statements dibu made...he said he's sure schools like the ife...ui and unilag won't admit less than 200
