Hi Guys,
I just got admission to study scientific instrumentation at the university of applied science Jena dated 25th July 2018, I applied for visa appointment on the 27th still yet to get a reply from the embassy. Information I got from the embassy that no more visa appointment for winter section and I have completed my blocked account since last year when I first applied for the same from the embassy that they have booked out student visa for winter session. My question is....how can I still go for this visa appointment coz my enrollment date is on the 10th of October 2018. I'm just speechless, after long waiting

You could do one of two things.

Ask for an enrollment extension: Take the screenshot of the reply you got from the embassy and send to your course coordinator begging for an enrollment extension.

Or

You could mail your coordinator and tell him you changed address while you were awaiting admission. Telling him to change the address on your admission letter to a northern address. So you can get booked for an interview at the Abuja embassy.

Or

You could keep trying for the Lagos embassy. Try to send your documents early in the morning around 7am.

I'm wishing you Goodluck.

If you are heading to TUM or LMU or anywhere around that area, there is an organisation of "Nigerian scholars in Munich" working hard to make you settle in Munich more easily. If you have done your interview already or gotten your visa feel free to join before or after entry. You can search for the group on Facebook too or send me a PM, I will add you.

Good afternoon, sir.
I am heading to TUM. Flying in 7th of October.

Between, Tübingen, Jena and Deggendorf. Which would you pick, sir?

Berliner1:

I know tubingen very well....nooks and cranny.

Student city...top ranked university...one of german president lecture there.

Job chance is 70% if you have A1/A2 of german language.

Bad side of the city is the semester ticket and failure rate is high.....very few Nigerians are in that Uni....not upto 8.

Good auslanderbehorde ( foriegners office).

There is a church there That is a good place if you are interested in a german churchy babe....if you know....

But remember the 1500 euro school fees in that school and most courses are in German language except few.

Thank you very much for this, sir. Can I message you and maybe get your number? I'm going to Munich but my friend is going to Tübingen and needs some reassuring. So, even if its to get your number so he can be linked up with someone else. I wouldn't mind.

They replied almost immediately.
I was asked to get back to them when I have the admission letter.

Hi Winnie,
So, I just booked for an interview date. But it wasn't with the uniassist letter. I mailed all the schools I applied to yesterday asking for a letter addressed to the embassy confirming I applied to their course. One of the school replied this morning with a well structured letter, stamped and all. I just actually booked with that. So, maybe you should try to do the samething.

No you can't. I tried and it didn't work( last week or so). You can still try though.

Thank you. I did already. No reply yet. Did they reply you? Or they just went silent on you?

Good day everyone, Tanks for the info dissipated always. Please I sent my transcript straight to uni-assist wen all effort to get it by hand failed. I don't know wat i should be doing now. Pls am I on the right track?
Please do help.

The university must've had a list of documents to be sent to uniassist. If you certified and sent that list of documents. You should be on the right track. Also, you should log into your uniassist profile and know whether or not your documents are complete or not.

I know two people that have been successful with it. One was last year, buh u can try your hand... if it works then pray u get your letter b4 that day.

Thank you. One of the schools said I could apply with a screenshot of the email saying they've sent my documents across to the admissions committee. Because they cannot write a letter addressed to the embassy on behalf of every student. Do you think the screenshot would work?
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by DrVektor: 1:18am On May 17, 2018
Please, who knows if I can apply for interview date using the letter uniassist sent me saying they've forwarded my documents to the school? Pending when admission will come through. Time dey go.

Good day everyone,

Please who's knows the current NIPOST shipping rates for documents.

Cos I sent documents early last month through them (unregistered) and I bought three stamps for 100 naira each. So it cost just 300 naira to send each documents.

My guy went there earlier today, Marina NIPOST, and they told him that unregistered shipping costs 1500 naira now, which is very confusing.

So if you have any idea of the breakdown or something, it would be appreciated.

Babes, I really wanna appreciate ur input here.

It's not easy to help ppl at dis stage wen everyone wanna be sure even when u give dem the right information.

Am guilty of not always online to help out in my own capacity but my head full, but I promise dat after my interview i'd be checking in once in a while.

But one good advise to summer guys, u need to silently go back to d last chapter, read a lot of processes of application questions and answer and testimonies, then u'd ve a lot of insight den u come get clarification.

It wnt be too long, u'd be d ones helping ur mates.

And those who wish to go for winter 2018, pls apply to uni dis summer oh! Even if it's not ur choice but a related course would do.
Get ur letter, deffer little before deadline den get a winter one which u can use to book for interview earlier and wait for ur desired course for winter.

And also to avoid these issues of booking out.

I don't understand the part where you said we should differ a little so we can get desired course for winter.

visa application fee is 60€ if that is what you are asking.
But before you get to that point you must have;
1. An admission to a German university ( cost varies depending on your application procedure check on Daad.de for schools and courses in Germany).
2. A lump sum of 8640€ in a blocked German account or have a sponsor resident legally and working in Germany or an European/German scholarship.

I would like to understand something, this €8640, will it be available for me to use when I get to Germany? Like can I spend it on a monthly basis and finish it? Or it's theirs?

Good afternoon, House. I'm a recent graduate of Radiography with a Second class upper degree from UNILAG and I'm trying to get into Uni-heidelberg or any other German universities(I'll check for some more later) for my M.Sc in Biomedical Engineering. I just want to know how I can go about it and if tuition is still free. And if there's any German alumni in the house, I'd need your mentorship.

Good day everyone, I will like to know about life after studies in Germany and all. From the little research I have made,it seems most folks spend the 18months after studies doing menial jobs. After which they return home as I learnt getting a professional job suitable for ur qualification, being one of the required criteria for a residency permit in Germany is somewhat difficult.

Yours replies will be highly welcomed...thanks.

well one can actually work for approximately 90 days in a year. let's say you're paid 10 euro per hour, could be more in a place like Stuttgart, do the Math...
u would earn enough to take care of yourself for the next year and slightly more which would later be taxed
