Though i can also remember when i asked my maths teacher that why we always used X and Y in maths, then he said i should go ask my papa, omg that is where i hate but maths and the teacher.
To my opinion is lack of interest in the subject

i cant belive my eyes when i saw 160/400. Course biological sci, jamb score 223 and my state of origin is Kaduna.
Encourage me cause i start to loose hope o

thanks but i choosed biological sciense, after registration, i see biology as my course on my post ume slip. Now should i boldly write BIOLOGY on my O'level result or biological sci?

it funny! I try it on my phone and i selected everthing requered then is shows me put UNIQUE ID........... And i put something like my password. It then shows congratulation print ur slip and bring it during th exam and am using phone, no way to print it. How can i gain access to reprint it again?

pals pls help me out, i registered, on puting my jamb number and state, i put the comfirmation order which shows payment was successful
after filling my phone number and email address,upload passport,fill my O'level result. My problem is on the down u will see SAVE, PRINT SLIP and COUNTINUE SHELDUL REGISTRTN.
On saving it, it doesn't show my exam type which is NECO,my center number again. So i click the print icon the a slip came out with the hiding POST UTME ACKNOWLEGMENT/EXAMINATION SLIP. Then i click the icon COUNTIEU SCHELDUL REGISTRATION and i see 3 steps to fill and i fill the institute and test exam but it shows nothing to fill on the TEST CENTER am anxious pls how can i do it?

i dont think u enter the right portal because nothing like username visit www.portal.abu.edu.ng/utme . U will see where to put ur jamb number and state of origin thats all

Buc: If u mean 'test center', i don't see why u should be having a problem there. Or either service went bad or u ve made an error earlier and need 2 go back and make correction so u can proceed.

Buc: I ve registered 4 post ume. I entered d bank closest 2 me (first bank) and asked 4 e-transact pin and d cashier gave me a teller to fill (regular bank teller), 2200 and that was it. Monday 16 july, 8am, oba akran avenue, ikeja. Thats my time and place to progress 2 d next level 2 becoming lawyer and also pickup d hausa language.

Richardinho: Dat '2nd choice p.ume procedure is wat u wil click, after dat, u wil c how u wil register, den at d down part of d page, u wil c 'CLICK HERE' to regstr or any how dey put it sha... Just click it, u wil c enter ur jamb registern num,submit.. Den enter ur receipt num n confirmation num...den submit and print it out...finish...

go to www.portal.abu.edu.ng/utme/ but u must go to bank with ur jamb registration number fore the form to proceed ur registration

Buc: Pls, somebody explain this abu's pume registration process in simple terms cos, bank draft and later going 2 make payment is confusing.

u will first go to cafe and print your transaction I.D. How to do it, visit the portal and put your jamb registration number and ur state of origin by doing that, ur details will come, then print it out and take it to bank to make payment, after making payment, go to cafe again to complete ur registration thats all in a ley man understanding

hmmm! From the word BIOCHEMISTY which is the scientific study of the chemical reactions in living things while MICROBIOLOGY is the scientific study of micro organisms.
Bioche comprised of two subject chemistry and biology while microbio is only biology with little chem.
From here ur brain will tell u which is tougher, there is a topic in biology called MICRO ORGANISM i think!
Therefore biochem is much more tougher than microbio, futminna aspirant will tell u more

waoo! Your chances are high because 251 is a nice score for this years jamb, though your state of origin is not among the catchment area.
My advice to u is to read very hard to beat the compatitors in your state so that u can make it and please do any course offer to u because God knows best. Good luck

it is categorise in two states namely: northern and sourthen. Northener are all the 19 states while the rest blonge to southeners. And for MBBS, there is no specific cutoff mark but you have to score above 80% in post ume, i dont says 80+ to scare u rather to prepare u to beat ur compatitors, what is you jamb score,state of origin and ur O'level result good luck

another similar confusion again, i feel a glass of cup with kerosine and i drop an ice in the glass filled with the kerosine do u know whta happens? The ice sink down and the level of the kerosine in the glass decrease while in water reverse is the case

Davidgerald: @Dryakson...i Scored 210....lemme try nd od a bit i knw....all fraction of crude oil will freeze @ a negative degree....bt it is said dt gases dnt freeze nd d characterisics of a gas is dt it is volatile(it escape 2 d surroundin wen left opened)...well petrol nd kerosine r fraction gottn 4 crude oil(petroleum)....in polar regions of d world petroleum freezes dts y dy add salt as an anti-freezin catalyst 2 d car or machine....d oli tin dt will mek kerosine nt 2 freeze is because it is volatile or lets say less volatile bt since petrol dy is highly volatile cn freeze due 2 a drastic drop in temp...den kerosine hs no option dn 2 freeze @ avry low teperature.....dis is my own undastandin of it.....

david6: Kerosene is made up of hydrocarbons and may freeze frm temp.of -22 to -50 degrees Fahrenheit..what I kw is only one substance in the universe will
not ever freeze no matter how cold it gets,
and that is the element helium - it can be
liquified, but it never freezes. Everything else will
freeze at a cold temperature,
including kerosine so what do u guys fink

kerosine is a mixture of chemicals, do u think it will have an exact freezing point? And as u said the freezing point is around -22 to -50 u confuse me again because i dont think there is a fridge that will reach that temperature in our houses. Need more explaination because i put it in our freeze for almost a month now but no good result

hello pals, am a little bit confuse on this though i haven't try to conferm it myself but i guess many of u can explain it to me so i can understand because we have many brilliant science student in the house can explain better.
The question goes like this:
....If u put KEROSINE inside fridge/freezer, will it freez i mean will it change to ice?
If YES, give concrete reason/explaination to ur ans
If NO give reason/explaination to ur ans too.

Qualtification for Screening
A. Candidates who scored 180 and above
in UTME for science based courses;
B. Candidates who scored 190 and above
in UTME for Arts, Social Science, Law and
administration;
All candidates who fall within the cut off
point in (a) and (b) above must have the
prescribed subject combinations in the
UTME examination as required by their
proposed courses of study (information as
contained in the JAMB brochure for UME
candidates
N.B: Those whose UTME subject
combinations are not correct need not
come as they will not be allowed for the
screening exercise.
Procedure for Online Registration for
UTME Screening
Registration for the screening exercise
will commence from Monday 18thJune,
2012 and close on Sunday 15th July, 2012.
Applicants are required to pay a sum of
N2, 000.00 for the screening exercise.
This is exclusive of bank administrative
charges of N250.00. To make the
payments, candidates are advised to
obtain an e-transact PIN card from any
commercial bank and thereafter load the
PIN Number for the online registration
process by clicking “Register for the
Screening Exercise”on the home page of
Ahmadu Bello University Website
(www.abu.edu.ng) and to print out their
respective a registration slip. Proceed to
make payment and schedule then
Schedule-Slip containing location, date
and time schedule for the screening.
The printout with affixed Passport
Photograph of the candidates and a
printout of the UTME result MUST be
submitted on the day of the screening.
Candidates MUST keep photocopies of all
submissions for their own records.
Candidates MUST arrive at the screening
venue One Hour before their scheduled
screening time, to ensure proper briefing
and accreditation.
Venues for Screening
a)While scheduling, candidates resident
in Southern States should select “LAGOS
CENTRE” located at No. 1 Oba Akran
Avenue, Ikeja, Lagos.
b)While scheduling, candidates resident
in Northern States and FCT Abuja should
select “ZARIA CENTRE” located at
Multipurpose Hall, Faculty of Social
Sciences, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Any candidate who fails to appear for the
screening exercise on the date indicated
on his/her Schedule Slip would not be
considered for admission into the
Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria during the
2012/2013 academic session.
Follow the steps below to register
1. Type in your JAMB number and state of
origin on the 2. login page and click on
login
3. Enter your valid mobile number, email
address
4. Upload your true passport size
photograph in JPEG format (not more
than 100KB) and O/level results (where
available).
5. Choose awaiting result where
applicable. Ensure that your photograph is
uploaded.
6. Click on the save button.
7. You will be redirected to the Portal
where you make payment and schedule
for the screening
8. Print 2 copies of the registration slip
and bring along during the screening
exercise.
