Present day Israel, was originally Palestine under British colonial administration. Due to the fact that they were targeted in WW2, Jewish refugees or let me put in the term they were historically referred to, “illegal migrants” in search of a holy land and a place to call home, found their way to Palestine. Now there is no way Palestine wasn’t populated even before British colonization. There were certainly local Arabs who lived there when Palestine was still a part of the Ottoman Empire. These local Arabs welcomed the Israelis and co-habited with them. A mistake they didn’t know will bite them hard in the future. Fast forward to 1948. Somehow, some way, Palestine becomes Israel and claims to have gained independence after ethnically cleansing and forcefully displacing the local Arabs. Is there even any evidence of that. I mean in the case of Nigeria and South Africa, there are evidences and legacies that proves both countries right to be former British colonies. Where did Israel appear from…?? When and How did the British colonize them and later lead to them gaining independence….??
Crazy and noteworthy point is that the superpowers of then and UN heads wanted to divide Palestine between the local Arabs and the Jews and put Jerusalem under international trusteeship. Present day 2025, guess who has ursuped 90% of Palestine including Jerusalem and intends to expand into Lebanon, Syria and some other Middle East countries in the pursuit of a Greater Israel…??

1948 till date, 77 years of ethnically cleansing and forcefully displacing Palestinians, not to mention the constant terrorizing of nearby Middle Eastern states like Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and even faraway Iran, all but a few entities remain silent to avoid “western sanctions”. However when Palestinians decided to stand up for themselves, it’s a problem…?? The West Bank government of Palestinians that is approved by Israel, do you know why Palestinians don’t regard them…?? It’s because they work together with Israeli forces to oppress them that is why Palestinians in Gaza and West Bank rather follow the leadership of Hamas.

P.S : Hamas is a political party not an armed force. The military arm of Hamas responsible for operation Al Aqsa flood on October 7 is the Qassam Brigades.

Nigerian drone factories are bigger really, the S.A defence industry though in a state of quagmire but still as a structure can't be compared to ours especially aerospace and land capabilities.
Should an urgent need arise, they would be able to respond in like a year or two whilst we cry for arms sale again.
We have been making progress with this drone thing but we are still yet very slow

All so milkor is not a major drone supplier. They really new at it. Denel and CSIR have been the main supplier to the SANDF.

The milkor 380 is really new.

The Indiza uav is the main drone the SA army needs to. Done thing like the milkor 380 would be a major purches and take done time since again it a new product. The İndiza is small and can be purchesed under a easier to mange procurment channel than the milkor 380. The more some thing costs the harder it is to get the money. İn fact if my unit needed a drone and there was one for 5000 rand i personaly could run the paper work and sighn for it. A milkor 380 will need people with heavy shoulders or wearing suits to work to sighn for it.

You can imagine bandits holding guns in front of our military and they can't arrest them, because a weak governor is more interested in a easy solution that will last for some month.

It is rather doing the opposite. ECOWAS requires free movement between member states. No visas, thus no background checks.

Cost effectiveness in terms of purchase, operating and maintenance

Familiarity with Leonardo/Agustawestland choppers for a long period of time. Switching to another helicopter type and learning its dos and don’ts may not be easy.

Interoperability. The navy and airforce can share info about the respective Leonardo helos they operate and in a case where there are similar computer systems or internal and external components in both helos, transplant is possible.

the military as no excuse, even in the north west we saw how Lt. Col manga and his team used a makeshift canoe.
We should have evolved and be innovative after 15 years, if we are serious with improving battleground tactics and logistics

Are we not tired of these particular kind of helicopter .

Local Production | During the 24th edition of the Nigerian Army Combat Support Services Training Week at Abalti barracks Lagos State, Epail Nigeria showcased a light armoured vehicle that appears identical to a Dong Feng CSK-131 Mengshi.
The Nigeria army recently inducted a large number of this vehicle type into its inventory.

Undertaking a CASEVAC is the Mi-17 not meant to be armed since it has attack capabilities?
Though not completely certain, US transport helos don't operate with attack helicopters as support or they are fitted with light attack capabilities.

Also you completely ignored the second half of his statement. What about the Nigeriens that don’t agree with the coup leader both from the North and South? Did you know there was an anti-coup protest in Niamey the day after the coup?

We’ve already been over this a dozen times. France has been virtually thrown out; but unfortunately it’s just getting replaced with a stereotypical African military regime with another president for life that’s going to run what little the country has into the ground creating Sahelian Zimbabwe and no not all Nigeriens are happy about this.

The regional misinformation campaign, arrest, sanctions, rise of islamist, northern tribes, climate change, and the invitation to Wagner to the country has really turned Niger into a top tier $hit show.

Nigeria doesn’t care about France getting the boot it just doesn’t want this $hit show at its borders. The north already has enough problems as is. We don’t want African Syria at the borders. Simple as that.

All of this could have been avoided if he’d just agreed to eventually convert to civilian rule and nobody besides France would have cared; but nope he’s the new President for life.
