His own 2016. Ooooh, CAD was less than 230 Naira... WantsandMore: could you please oblige me, how much the first and second and finally your acceptance cost in naira? Someone I know is having cold feet because of the cost and fear of rejection. Perhaps an idea will make them firm. |

How long it sits in your account doesn't really matter like how the money was made... ColdHunter: Thank you sir.
Would my spouse transferring all funds to my account help? If yes, does it have to sit in my account for 6months to make iy useful?
I want to reapply against tye January semester by september. |

I also reapplied on the 22nd; I'm waiting for the outcome

Thats how I applied also, I realised that between the six months there was no month i spent the same amount. Not even close to each other. Infact there was no month that I didn't spend more than the amount I claimed to spend monthly.
I am still waiting for their outcome. I applied on the 22nd |

Ask your organization for PAYE certificate Mavor: The GIC account is in my name but my bank is asking for 3 years tax clearance certificate which I don't have as all my taxes are PAYE, deducted at source by my employer. As such, I will not bother with the GIC. Working on paying the full 2 years tuition this week. |

I wonder what he will say about people who got their study permit approved in less than 6 weeks when the IRCC website stated processing time 6 weeks. Ignore him pls so we won't derail the thread. |

Mine was Ottawa, I think more goes into who handles application beyond what we know. PhdCloakRoom: Dont mind @Abel Abdul. Check it his own is the quickest and that shows you the scam red-flag. He knows that people re eager to get response once they start their visa application.
Its also a general awareness that If you completed your biometrics at the VFS Global Canada in Lagos or Abuja, your POE letter will typically be processed through regional visa offices in Accra (which handles many West African applications) or Kenya and routed directly to your online account or sent via email. So dont mind him by claiming he got his from Ghana as if its a special preferences.
Abel Abdul is a commercial bus driver in Portharcourt and he is sitting inside his bus right now. He works with travel agents and usually lures innocent people to them. He has been posting 3rd party documents and he will soon be nab. |

Yes, Grey Finance Inc is a licensed MSB in Canada. no tea on it. Just my personal preference. It is not even necessary... I just prefer it, and it has its own risk too since we are not residents of their country... Cullinane: This is my thinking plus Grey is registered in Canada as an in-country and cross border payment service provider. It is so easy and smooth to use. Love their service like mad. Please what's the tea on the Swiss and Lithuania online bank account. Why was it necessary? Details please. Thank you. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by dsureguy: 11:32am On Jul 02 |
I don't believe in that at all... I'm the king of using non-commercial banks for applications. For my visit to CA, I used Rova (which is Nigerian MFi just like GREY) and a swiss online bank account and it was approved my CA student visa, two Canadian bank accounts, a GIC, and a Lithuanian online bank account (bulk of the money) and it was approved My parents' US visa: I used my Lithuanian online bank account only, as their sponsor failed them at the last minute so had to step in, and it was approved. So far the bank is licensed and has the country's financial approval, and you are not cooking documents; my take is to use it. Predator188: High risk using this as POF red flagged by ai overview, this is not a traditional bank. |

Add a small amount of money to it and push it to GIC in Canada. Show evidence of the wire transfer to your GIC account. Geetee111: Hey guys, I need your help I’ll jump straight into it, my aunt’s husband who’s a operations manager for air Côte d’Ivoire, gifted me about 20M, here is the problem the money wasn’t splitted into batch, he paid 9M, 9M and then 2M in the same day…. What’s the best way to prove to IRCC that the money is for my studies, I going to the bank on Monday to pay a deposit of $5k CAD for my school fees deposit, instead is 2k as required by the school, do I do a gift notarization, visa application isn’t due until August. |

Congratulations!!! See you hopefully in CA someday! AbelAbdul: This thread has been abused. When I get to Canada on the 22nd Aug, I will create a thread on my personal process from when I got my International passport to when I landed in Canada.
Hints:
1. My International Passport took 5 business days (both capturing and everything) First timer. 2. I applied to schools in Canada some gave me offer in less that 3 days. 3. My study permit took 4 weeks and 6 days to get approved. Applied May got approved June.
I will be sharing my story (the documents I submitted) with evidence once I land Toronto.
PS: This is my first time applying to Canada. I do not have any travel history.
PPS: I did it all alone without a travel agent. Even when my school wanted to give me their immigration lawyer to assist in my study permit application I opted out.
PPS: Reason I don't use agents is because, apart from the fact that a lot of them are scammers, some of them do mistakenly mix applicants documents when submitting because they do not deal with just one application.
I learnt from Cubana Chief Priest who till his death cannot enter USA because of the messed an agent made on his application. |

My visit visa was like 6 months some years back... my student permit application was less than a month for family applications without upfront medicals... amnotapervert: IRCC will teach you how to wait and pray. No one truly understands IRCC timelines.
One piece of advice for peace of mind and mental health as you move forward and continue dealing with IRCC: you need a lot of patience or you will get Hight BP waiting on IRCC Whether it's a student visa, PGWP, PR, or citizenship application, IRCC will definitely teach you patience.
To be fair, processing times have improved over the years. There was a time when student visa applications could take 4 to 6 months or even longer.
By the way, when does your school resume? I am asking because IRCC are aware of your resumption date and they always work towards that date in mind for the most part |

I live in Nigeria, Oga... We are talking about visiting Visa not schooling... amnotapervert: You still don't understand the context and context matters. I believe you are in Germany.
$10,000 CAD may be more than enough to cover tuition deposits, flights, and initial expenses, but IRCC knows you live in Germany, not Nigeria. They can see that your circumstances are different and that you may earn $10,000 CAD in a couple of months. You are not the average Nigerian applicant applying from Nigeria.
How do I even explain this further?
You are comparing completely different situations. Someone living and working in Germany has a different financial profile, earning potential, and access to funds than the average Nigerian living in Nigeria.
It's the same reason many Canadians don't keep large amounts of money sitting in a savings account.
Well me I do not I have they saved in investment accounts, TFSA etc
They have access to credit facilities, lines of credit, investments, and other financial tools that people in Nigeria.
You can't use your situation as the benchmark for everyone else because the circumstances are completely different |

How much is flight to Toronto, hotel for 2 weeks... POF of 10k is more than enough, Oga. So far the money has good origin and you have reasonable ties back to Nigeria, IRCC will grant the visa... I didn't even spend 4k for my last trip in March... An average person in CA doesn't have 10k sitting freely in an account... How much do you think your Nigerians over there use as POF to invite their parents? amnotapervert: At this point, you believe 10 million naira is enough for someone living in Nigeria I am telling you it's not, but that's fine.
I had already typed a long reply with links and explanations showing why, but then I thought, Hahaha, everyone has the right to believe whatever they want.
It's Sunday, and free will was preached in church today. You have the free will to believe whatever you choose... I am just here to make commect I do not know what I am talking about |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by dsureguy: 8:22am On Jun 06 |
10k not being enough for visiting visa for a Nigerian living anywhere in this world is NOT TRUE.. amnotapervert: People from Germany do not need a visa to visit Canada...
Nigerian has a higer rejection rate than others countriest that will use 3000k EUR... I wanted to pull out numbers links or anything but what good will that do
And yes, with a Nigerian passport, CAD $10,000 is generally not enough as proof of funds for a Canadian visa application, even if there is consistent inflow and outflow in the account...
Anyways at this point everthing is possible |
