President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday broke the Ramadan fast together with other top country officials at the State House in Abuja.

The photos were posted on the President's official page with the caption: "The Ramadan fast inspires us to show love to our neighbors and be our brothers and sisters keepers. GEJ."

Jonathan, who joined Muslim faithfuls in Nigeria in observing the fast, is pictured in the company of Vice President Sambo, Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Adau Mu'azu and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Abubakar.

It would be recalled that the President had previously congratulated Muslims of the country on the sighting of the moon, which was followed by Ramadan start on Saturday, June 28, and urged people to use the time of fasting to pray for peace.

Despite not having a superb performance for Nigeria at the ongoing 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, latest reports reveal that Chelsea are ready to allow Emmanuel Emenike to join them for €19 million.

Dailymail reports that the English club have been approached by the Turkish club Fenerbahce on the Nigerian star.

Emenike scored 12 goals in 28 league games as Fenerbahce won the Super Lig last season.

Many Nigerian football fans believe the 27-year-old striker played below expectations for the Super Eagles at the ongoing 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Nigeria was defeated 2-0 by France on Monday, 30 June, 2014. Their World Cup campaign was ended in the round of 16.

In a related development, the Blues is reported to has agreed a two-year deal with Tiago Mendes.

The 33-year-old is joining as a free agent after his contract ran out with Atletico Madrid.

He spent just one season with Chelsea before leaving for Lyon in 2005.

D'Banj's ex-girlfriend, Jennifer Obayuwana, who was his lover about 4 years ago finally revealed why she left him.

D'Banj and Jennifer Obayuwana, the daughter of John Obayuwana (founder and Managing Director of Polo Luxury), have had a long-term relationship.

The singer has always kept his relationship status shrouded in mystery, but recently his former lover decided to open up about it.

"For the record, I am no longer dating D'Banj. It's true we dated about four years ago and we have since called it quit," Obayuwana said in an interview with Encomium Weekly in June 2014.

She also said D'Banj had a wandering eye: "I left him (D'Banj) because he is a womanizer, you know now."

D'Banj has also been linked to Nigerian actress Genevieve Nnaji, with many saying they've had an on-off relationship for a while, but both parties have denied ever dating.

'Banga Lee' didn't respond to any queries over Obayuwana's statement. The DB Records boss is currently on a promotional tour with his label acts KaySwitch, 2Kriss and Tonto Dikeh.
