dabossman: I beg to disagree with you on this sir. Many peeps just got carried away by the mobility of the Algerian team. Go to FIFA website and compare the stats of both teams. The only areas Algeria did better than us where no of goals scored(7-3) and distance covered(115.5km-100.5km per match).

We had more attempts per match (12.5 - 9.3) and completed more passes (1386-1194). Our shot on target percentages where the same 60%. Pass completion percentage same 70%.

The striking difference was that they moved quicker with the ball, especially on counters, while we transited slowly (no thanks to Mikel) and focused more on possession. We both won one match, drew one and lost two.
U said it all...just wat we need to know

It is worth mentioning that this precaution is taken by medics against the possible cross-contamination and diseases like hepatitis.

Less than five days after Germany won the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, the European country has returned to the top of FIFA world rankings for the first time in around 20 years.

According to the latest list published on Thursday, 17 July, 2014, Germany moved up one place to depose former table topper Spain on the strength of their 1-0 defeat of Argentina at Rio de Janeiro’s Maracana stadium in Brazil.

Lionel Messi’s Argentina are placed second, an improvement of three places, with the Netherlands leaping 12 rungs into third after their impressive World Cup third place finish.

The James Rodriguez-inspired Colombia move up to fourth (+4), ahead of Belgium (+6) and Uruguay, while disappointing Brazil dropped four spots to seventh.

Deposed world champions Spain slumped seven spots to their new modest placing of eighth, with Switzerland and France (+7) completing the top ten.

Costa Rica’s remarkable charge to the quarterfinals was rewarded with a jump of 12 places to 16th.

England’s woeful first round exit resulted in Roy Hodgson’s side dropping ten places to 20th.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles, who exited the World Cup in the round of 16, moved up 10 spots to current 34th position in the world and 3rd in Africa.
Both Algeria and Cote d’Ivoire dropped two points each but they still remain the best two teams on the African continent, respectively.

Egypt maintains its 4th position, while Ghana also remains ranked 5th in Africa, despite dropping one point in the latest ranking.

Below is the top 20 of the new FIFA rankings:

1. Germany (+1)

2. Argentina (+3)

3. Netherlands (+12)

ProgrammingRe: Are Programmers Born Or Made? by dtito(m): 8:24am On Jul 10, 2014
MizMyColi:
What is it about programmers that makes them thick huh

The statement above is one of sincere ignorance and envy grin

Are [Great] programmers born or made?

The recent public announcements made by the admin of this forum got me thinking out loud:

"If only I understand this their language, I would be in the know if this guy is trying to play on my intelligence or just being plain sincere"

"if only, if only, if only." sad

I come to this board more oft with the intent to contribute even a "good morning" and then I feel so out of place, yet I'm interested in programming....coding especially [I hope the two words do not mean the same] huh cheesy

I've only heard of HTML and CSS recently, A friend even volunteered to teach me and the only thing I could grasp from his lesson - which btw I'm not quite sure of now is "How to differentiate a CSS website from an HTML website"

Another friend sent me loads of e-books on programming and hacking for beginners and I just couldn't get past the first stage, yet I want to be like you guys embarassed cry

I guess the reason I loose interest is because I'm the relational kind (I love people). If I can't relate with what is being taught as it pertains to people/humans....then I'm likely to lose interest.

The epistle above is a call for help.
1). I want to be able to contribute meaningfully to this section (with time)

2). Are programmers born or made (can just about anyone become a programmer with the right tutoring)?

Teach me. Anyone please? smiley

AgricultureWashington 'pot Shops' Hit Byshortage On First Day Of Sales by dtito(op): 12:27pm On Jul 09, 2014
Legal marijuana sales in the western US state of
Washington have begun amid a shortage of the
drug in the state.
State officials told licensed pot shops they could
open at 8:00 local time but only a few are
expected to have marijuana to sell on Tuesday.
The shortage comes as fewer than 100 people of
more than 2,600 who applied for a growing licence
were approved.
Washington and Colorado voters legalised the
possession and sale of the drug in November
2012.
An Associated Press survey of 25 licensed
Washington cannabis dealers found only six were
expected to open on Tuesday, including one in the
largest city of Seattle.
Only a fraction of the growers who applied for
licences were approved
Others planned to open later in the week, while
some shops said it would be at least a month
before they had marijuana to sell.
In Bellingham, Top Shelf Cannabis investor John
Evich told the Associated Press news agency they
were "pretty stoked" to be open on the first day of
sales.
"We haven't had any sleep in a long time, but
we're excited for the next step," Mr Evich said.
The store told the Seattle Times early on Tuesday
they initially saw fewer people than expected. Their
first customers were from Kansas.
Washington officials eventually expect about 300
licensed shops to open.
More than 2,600 people applied to become
licensed growers in Washington, but fewer than
100 have been approved.
And as of early this month, only about a dozen
growers had crops ready to harvest.
The shortage is expected to raise prices to at least
$25 (£15) a gram, the Associated Press news
agency reports.

RomanceHow To Be A Gentleman From A Women View by dtito(op): 4:46pm On Jul 08, 2014
#1 Proper Manners Are
Sexy

A true gentleman is always polite, or at least he
tries to be. Not only in his words, but also in
his everyday actions. He certainly is what our
grandma will call a well-mannered guy. To
achieve this you should always be aware how to
help others. You can simply start with opening
doors for elders and of course for ladies, and
moreover, you can give up your seat on the bus
to somebody who needs it more. girls pay
attention to those things, and they find it really
attractive. Even when somebody else is being
offensive and acting quite stupid, try staying
calm and polite, and you will impress the girl
you like in no time.

#2 You Do not Need A
Horse To Be Ou

Little girls always dream about prince on a white
horse, who would come for them and then the
fairytale with begin. However, live sometimes is
not a fairytale, but that does not mean that you
guys cannot be princes. It is true that every girl
have her own vision of how a prince is
supposed to look like, but on the other hand,
what we all cherish is a good hygiene and a
personal style. It is nice to see a guy who takes
care of himself, if he d of us.
.
#3 Respect Others And
Yourself

It is equally important that you respect people
around you and especially your woman, and that
you respect yourself, meaning you should not
change who you are completely just to be what
others expect you to be. When in public try to
show respect with your politeness, and always
look people, especially women in the eyes when
talking to them, also try to avoid topics that
would embarrass others. On the other hand, try
staying true to yourself as much as possible,
yes, there most certainly are some things you
should not do around others if you want be a
gentleman (farting, swearing, drinking too much
of alcohol etc.), but losing the touch witch
yourself completely is another no go.

#4 Patience Is The Key

A flower needs time to grow, and good care to
become beautiful and strong. So do women.
When you start a relationship with a person that
person usually needs some time to open up,
trust is not a thing that comes over night. So to
be a real gentleman be nice to your woman, tell
her everyday why you like her, why she is so
special to you and, yes, tell her she is beautiful.
When walking down the street hold her hand
and make her feel protected, and in the evening
hold her close to you. That kind of patience and
care will make you the one she will never
wanted to let go of

#5 Little Surprises Will
Show That

How expensive your gift is does not matter to
most women, it is the fact that you remembered
that does. Listen to women when they talk
about things that they enjoy, and they will tell
you exactly what they like. It is extremely
important that you buy or make something for
them on the ordinary days, not only
anniversaries or birthdays. Women love to be
surprised, so bring her some flowers every now
and then, when you are late, or when she is
tired. A home cooked meal is also a nice
surprise every women will cherish. Listening,
remembering and trying is what will make you a
true gentleman.

#6 Be Honest And Loyal

When it comes to that, it is not all about the
cheating part, but of course that is the one that
usually hurts the most. So remember, when you
love somebody you will never cheat on them,
and a true gentleman is not a cheater. It is also
crucial for you to be honest, and to be prepared
to talk a lot. Women, as we all know love
talking. They love sorting things out and that
usually means that a true gentleman will need
to go through a couple of arguments every now
and then.
