The first thing I want us to know is that Speaking in Tongues is one of the Spiritual Gifts given to Christians as the Spirit wills. Speaking in Tongues is not what you learnt or heard from your Pastor, Mentors, Family, Relatives, Friends or Strangers. It is what has been inspired by the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:4 "And they were filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."

Speaking in Tongues was the first Gift the Disciples had after the Baptism of the Holy Spirit at Upper Room on the day of Pentecost. The Disciples spoke in known tongues that the unbelievers heard.

WE HAVE THREE TYPES OF TONGUES!!!
1. An unknown Tongue spoken unto God (1 Cor. 14:2, Romans 8:26-27)
2. A known Tongue that is a sign to unbelievers (Acts 2:6 - 8 )
3. A Tongue that is understood through interpretation (1 Cor. 14:14-15)
