I am grateful to Canada for finding us worthy despite all the complications.

I am extremey grateful to my wife for all the support. It was tough for her, especially with the pregnancy, and having to cope with traveling to Accra with an infant. I knew she could do it because she’s a super woman. I intend to buy her a Tesla in canada, but she’ll rather put the money in Educational Trust Fund. I marry beta wife from self contain to Canada. I am happy to be sharing this moment with her.

I’m giving out a special shoutout to Opeyemi from the AVO group. I wont say much about her because words can’t express how much I appreciate her support. She was with me all the way from the first day I joined the AVO group. The minute I ran into the MTN office for wifi coverage, all her messages just poured in. I’m not sure why she has human flesh, she should be an angel. She’s the reason I decided to document my experience. It would be wrong to not let people know about such person.

I also want to appreciate the sticker king of April/May 2019 AOR group. You wont believe a guy I have never met sent me financial support for the accra trip. He has been asking for my address so he can load me up with Musibau bags. How can somebody be concerned about me like this

During my waiting time, I decided to start exploring income opportunities in Canada. I created a junk youtube channel which i will fully utilize when i’m ready. For now, it’s just gathering views so as to pass monetization.

I also researched on driving in canada and started a blog on it. At the moment, it seems like the blog can generate enough monthly income for my phone bills in canada. I am confident that by next year’s ending, the blog should be able to pay our monthly rent.

Reading this brought tears to my eyes. I said God, this guy cannot be this honest and helpful and not get PPR. I prayed in my mind. God has done it for you. You and your wife deserve the best. There is o joy greater than having a supportive wife. I hope you buy her that Tesla even though she will put it in Education fund. Well I guess its time to share my own Ielts Story.
We got married this January and 2 months later I heard about Express entry. I asked myself why I didn't hear this before my wedding so I will jejely not spend all my money in the wedding. lol

My friend who told me about this journey is already in Canada, so he gave me this Nairaland link and I joined in Page 74 of Chapter 7.
We registered for our first Ielts in May 11 and got;
WIFY (PA) LRWS- 9, 6.5, 6.5, 8 (MOD)
ME- LRWS- 7.5, 5.5, 6.5, 7 (MOD)(12/20 scoreas accompany spouse)

My wife cried her self out. I was not surprised because I could not concentrate on the exam hall. Knowing she was PA didn't help in anyway because she must max plus the pressure I put her through. I was constantly looking back in the exam hall to see how she was faring and I got distracted.

She booked another exam for 17 August. I was patiently waiting for her outside the exam hall and when she came out, she didn't have enough smiles on her face but told me she did well in Listening and maybe reading. That in the Writing she wrote about Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. I was in awe. In my mind I was praying she max oo because getting another 68k is hard oo. While all this was going on, WES and Yabatech was dealing with us. I decided I will not evaluate my own degree (WRONGEST OPTION) since with hers, we will be on 459 if she can max and I rewrite. August 30 came, and guess what....Wify gave me gave me a huge surprise. LRWS 8.5, 8, 7.5, 7 (MOD). She was sad that she couldn't mas Speaking of all test. I was the most excited man and 17day late, ECA arrived. We dived into the pool with 456 and boom, CRS skyrocketed. I didn't have a choice than to register for CBT so i can get the remaining 8 points I missed. Result came out 6 days later and I could not believe it. LRWS 6.5 6.5, 6.5, 7 (BC). I said to myself, Nna you don try, this Canada is not for you. A friend of my in this journey advised I start my ECA but I was adamant. When the draw of FST Draw came, I knew next draw will be marvelous, I decided to write ielts one more time and started my ECA(My school is yet to send transcript for over a month now.). I wrote Nov 7 and did the test the next day. The examiner wanted us to argue by all means. She was just mean. I said to myself, sha give me 7 in Speaking else I will wait for you outside and this morning, I was just having nightmare about my result. I cried in the dream till I woke up. I tried checking the result but nothing was coming up. Eventually, it came up. (MOD) LRWS- 8, 7, 6.5, 7 (18/20). In total, I spent N352k on IELTS.
We are gallantly on 462. Its not much but I am glad we could pass 460 mark and please someone should tell IRCC to open their site so I can update my score biko. It hasn't been up since this morning.
I am praying this draw score comes down atleast this year. So whatever legal you can do to add to your score, kindly do.

After reading several posts about what Writing has done to people, we quickly enlisted @Blissnenye. Thank you so much ma'am for your patience and guidiance with writing. I'd advise anyone that needs help with writing to contact her, as she is very patient and takes her time to coach her students.


Current CRS score 469, we hope we get ITA in the next draw. Keeping hope alive.. lolss

Timeline
AOR Feb 18
1st PPR - July 15
August 2 - Notified CIC of upcoming marriage (dem no even send)
August 8 - Notified CIC again of change in marital status, but this time I attached marriage certificate. I also sent an email to OVO and AVO with the marriage certificate attached
August 15 - Got a response that my marriage certificate has been forwarded to AVO and that I should write to them. I did as instructed, no response.
August 21 - Request letter to add spouse. I shared the letter here
August 25 - Submitted the ADRs.
September 3 - ADR to pay spouse biometrics and spouse UCI updated. Paid within an hour and attached the receipt through a web form. Got BIL hours later.
September 4 - Raised CSE to change spouse's name on file and passport number. Changes effected and a revised BIL with new name sent within an hour.
September 6 - Completed biometrics. Application updated with biometrics number.
September 9 - MEP updated.
September 26 - Got ADR to fill schedule A for both PA and spouse. I submitted this same day.

Then a long silence filled with anxieties and frustrations... no thanks to AVO. While waiting, I ordered a note and raised several CSEs.

November 19 - PPR 2.0.

It has ended in praise.

In my opinion, it’s not necessary since investment is in your name, but in other to sleep with two eyes closed after AOR a simple LOE can just mention the source. Just keep it simple you are good with the investment in your name.

I am sorry to bug you a little. I have almost the same issue. My wife is PA and i want to use Stanbic IBTC Money Market and our joint name in the Investment account. Is it wise to use the joint name or just her name alone? I am sending the money from my own account. Will i be required to provide my own statement of account while filling ITA? Or will LOE suffice?

Good morning all. Pls is there an implication for doing medicals close to ITA deadline?
For instance if my ITA is to expire December 20th and I book medicals for say December 14th, will there be any repercussion? I asked cause I’m hearing that it should be done at least 2weeks before ITA expires just to be on the safe side. What do you suggest please?
