maestroferddi:
Stop talking nonsense!

Most Igbos respect the Yorubas but we cannot accept a situation where a high-ranking traditional ruler chooses to speak like a tout.

Does it interest you that Yoruba communities are gradually growing in some cities like Onitsha and Enugu?

We Igbos thrive under competition and would readily welcome others in our society provided they would be adding value.

The Igbos have earned their pride of place in a city like Lagos. We therefore will not accept any sort of intimidation or patronising attitude from any misguided person in Lagos no matter how highly placed.
Its not non sense, i respect d igbos, they r very industrous, always determined to suceed, n i ve lived in their communities, i njoyed my stay, no discrimination, infact in communities i lived i was well treated amongst d youth, i wont deny that, ur babes r fresher than ours grin

Some igbos ve been buildin on this oba issue n pdp has been taken advantage of that. Lets just end d issue n move on.
we yorubas condemn his statement as well, we shud not allow one man or grp to destroy d unity we ve been njoyin, its not worh it. Yoruba relate well wit igbos, even d commissioner of economic plannin n budget in lag is an ibo man, which shows ibos ve earned their pride of place in lagos, no dispute.
Politics › Re: Without The Igbos Contribution, Lagos Would Been Backward As Other Yoruba States by dulux07(m): 11:47am On Apr 08, 2015
Igbos play a role in lagos economy, true, but lagos would ve been developed without d igbos, go n study d history of lagos very well, if igbos r developers y cant dey develop their own states, we ve higher no of igbos present in southwest compared to yorubas in southeast.
Who told u abeokuta is backward n ibadan, ur only speaking out of ignorance. my job has taken me to most igbolands, except for their capital n one or two regions, d rest r forest. For d fact that a particular tribe is not present does not mean d state wont develop. Or was it igbos that developed Abj as well.

In entertainment, yorubas dominate esp in music, africa magic yoruba n hausa has been existin for yrs now, igbos jst started dis yr.

in business d richest man is an hausa man, n woman a yoruba. In oil n gas-- otedola, in telecom- adenuga,

in politics yoruba n hausas rule.

Even in educatn. Southwest has d highest no of universities n private univerties, even d most xpensive blongs to an hausa man

Even in aviatn, lagos n abuja has d best international airport

if i should continue, i wont stop. Tho u guys play important roles but i Dont jst understand y u igbos feel ur important than other tribes.
Politics › Re: Lagosians Go On Twitter To Say Dont Blemish Fashola/apc's Work. by dulux07(m): 10:59am On Apr 08, 2015
Fashola is d best governor in nigeria. I mean when u compare lag in 2008 to present lagos, d development is obvious. He has set d standard for other incoming governors, u ve to do more than fashola did, or else u ve done nothing. Imagine if lagos now has d full support of d fed govt, which they ve not gotten in years. Vote wisely
Culture › Re: Are The Igbos Too Sensitive Or A Shadow Of Self? Opinion! by dulux07(m): 7:32pm On Apr 07, 2015
Yorubas r closer to igbos than any other tribe, yorubas dont hate n jealous igbos n vice versa, wats der to jealous. Being called omo igbo, is nt an abuse, jst d normal slang it simply means ibo boy, same as the way we call hausas Abokii or malam, does not mean we hate them, wen i was in southsouth i was refer to as yoruba guy, n its no big deal. The only thing yoruba critize igbos r their troblesome attitude n thirst for money, whch does not imply to all ibos. Fashola does not hate igbos, he n okorocha r good friends, it might interest u to know that its an igbo man thatz in charge of lagos state budget, i.e commisioner for economic plannin n budget, which can never happen in ibo land

Abeg who cares about d igbos vote, at least its ambode that is going for governorship not the oba, let the igbos vote for who they want, that z der problem, they did same during election, voting for gej, coz of tribalism, at last gej still lost. Who dont need their votes here in south west. All we need is peace.

Politics › Re: Oba Of Lagos ‘you Can’t Play God,’ PDP Tells Monarch In Response To Threat Again by dulux07(m): 12:29pm On Apr 07, 2015
D obas statement was wrong, if he wasnt misquoted. Yorubas r also r not happy with it, pdp should not build on this issue or elaborate it, so as to avoid dispute btw ethnics, because they will surely fail. igbos should not b decived by this n nt allow one man or pdp to destroy our relatnship. Religious, tribalistic issue was brought up durin presidential electn by pdp, n yet they lost. let peace continue to reign .

He is jst angry, but dont blame him tho, cos lagos has received poor support rm d fed govt for yrs n now that it has d oppurtunity to get full support, some greedy immigrants r against it. Jimi agbaje is truly related to d oba, so i dont think d oba motives r personal

Passed thru that road of recent, its very nice . Lagos state govt has really tried in terms of road development. Fed roads in lag r stil poor, thats y we need ambode/apc to win, so we can get full fed support. grin

I really enjoyed my stay in bowen, i ve lived in a fed uni n state uni bfor moving to bowen, i still prefer bowen, i heard d new vc changed d rules bringing discomfort to d students, whch led to d riot.
During my days olagbemiro was d vc , n then

cafeterias opens rm 7am n close 10pm, u can go to d cafe anytim u want

U can remain in campus till 9pm, n outside hostel til 10.30pm.

Wed mornin n sunday mornin r d most strict chapel days, others r jst fun, mostly servin as rendevous for some.

U can put on jeans, 3/4 after school hrs n weekends(i.e rm 4pm), ladies can put on trousers on weekends(sport things)

At lis 70% attendence to write exams, as well as cost of living is high.. true.

U can put on hand bands. Always on tie, compulsory devotions r rules dat r not effective.

D only issue we heard then was water supply, which was a big prob cos d sch is located on a rocky land, scarcity of water at times makes d hostel n toilets dirty.

I tell u bowen is d most liberal xtian university in nigeria. Dont know abt now tho, cos of d new VC.
