SSWC is a women focused healthcare facility. We are based in Lagos, the economic centre of Nigeria. The facility was founded by Dr Alabi, a UK trained and registered Consultant Gynaecologist in February 2012.

Our aim is to provide excellent care in a well organised and patient friendly atmosphere using evidence based medical practice.

As many people are aware, cultural dance displays are always accompanied by cultural outfits. However, you can see that this lady was just wearing a short skirt with a top dress.

Nigerian reality TV star turned actress and influencer, Natacha Akide popularly known as Tacha is still till today one of the most famous names to come out of the Big Brother Naija franchise. Over the years, Tacha has been able to build a very strong following of Titans for herself due in part to her personality, but also because of her “don’t care” attitude which also comes out a lot in her fashion choices.

Tacha’s outfits can sometimes be very daring and bold but sometimes, the outfits go too far for people and it pushes past what they’re comfortable seeing. Tacha’s outfit to the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards (AMVCA) in 2020 got a lot of tongues wagging once the picture hit the internet. By all accounts to many people, Tacha went TOO FAR with this outfit showing a whole lot more cleavage than anybody expected to see that night from one person. One user on Tacha’s Instagram page reacted to the outfit upon seeing it on and said “Tacha pls stop exposing ur boobs pls” to which Tacha responding “BOOBS that is my OWN?”

When Tacha uploaded this picture to her social media, people responded about two things. One: they once again pointed out to Tacha that she was showing too much cleavage and that her boobs were practically on full display, and Two: they were astonished by the amount of makeup and body paint on her. To them, it was too much.

A young African girl is in the news for bringing great innovation, such as a solar water purifier, to improve the welfare of her community.

The young girl, identified as Mwangala Maunga, hails from Lusaka, Zambia and currently attends Roma Girls Secondary School; she’s also a child rights advocate.

When she was only 12 years old, she invented a solar water purifier to provide clean water for dwellers in both rural and urban areas.

The prevalence of waterborne diseases in her country inspired the young girl to find a lasting solution which led her to put materials together to build her water purifier.



Selected Awards And Recognition

In 2018, Mwangala received an award for being the best inventor in the Science and Technology category at the DStv Africa MultiChoice – Cartoon Network Powerpuff Girls’ Awards.



She earned another accolade in 2019, becoming the youngest recipient of the Brenda Muntemba Award as an (Emerging Young African Leader) at the PUSH WOMEN AWARDS.



That’s not all; in August 2020, she was the youngest and only Zambian speaker at the Virtual International Youth Day featuring the Youngest Deputy Minister of Information and Technology in Namibia, Hon. Emma Theofelus and other Directors from African Union (AU)& UNICEF.

She was awarded a SDG badge of honour, courage and bravery and work in the fight against cyberbullying by the UNDP Country Resident Representative in December 2020. In December 2021, she was named the Youngest STEM Change Maker at the Genius Education Zambia Awards.

To continue her advocacy roles and empower the female child, she pioneered an organisation called Girl Power Platform in 2021.

Now 16 years of age, Mwangala Maunga remains passionate about Science and Technology and continues to seek avenues to ensure the girl child is not disadvantaged.

An exceptional Nigerian woman named Mervin Azeta has achieved tremendous success after graduating with a first-class degree in Chemical Engineering and Reservoir Engineering.

Mervin Azeta who now works as a Lead Engineer with Schlumberger narrated that growing up she was told Engineering is not quite a discipline for girls. “To think I was once told that engineering isn’t quite a discipline for girls; they would normally drop off after a few years of undergrad study. Well, look how far I have come, by GOD’S infinite grace, love and mercy,” she wrote on LinkedIn.

Mervin Azeta earned a first-class Bachelor’s degree from the University of Benin, Nigeria majoring in Chemical Engineering and minoring in Reservoir Engineering. She thereafter proceeded to the Imperial College London for her Master’s degree and earned a Distinction.
