The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Organisation has attacked  the All Progressives Congress (APC) over its claims that members of the PDP masterminded last week’s attacks on President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign convoys in Katsina and Bauchi. It offered evidence why it is certain APC supporters were responsible for the act.

Spokesperson of the PDP organisation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, queried: “Does it make any sense for the PDP to hire thugs to chant 'Sai Buhari', to wave brooms in the air and to physically attack their own candidate's convoy? Does it make any sense for them to throw rocks at their own presidential candidate and injure his bodyguards?

He said in a statement: “The allegation by the spokesman of the APC, Lai Mohammed, that the PDP were the ones behind the attacks on President Goodluck Jonathan in Katsina and Bauchi are absurd, reckless and asinine. The shameless lies of the APC are simply mind-boggling and as each day passes, they seem to be getting worse and worse.

“Honestly, it is clear to all those with discerning minds that the APC have lost touch with reality. They have been blinded by their hate, deceit and their sheer desperation for power.

“The truth is that they are the ones that have an inbred culture of violence and intolerance, and that encourage brutal and barbaric behavior and not the PDP.”

The news is that Buhari is going to run again! I can't believe it... How many times does this man think that he is going to run?

Buhari was the president in the 1980s, and people say that he used to send soldiers to beat people in the street when they were late for work.It's also so shocking to me that he would run again now. He has also already tried to be the President before and the people of this country told him NO! I have also heard that he supports female circumsision, which is a problem that we should be fighting against in our country. I know that these things are tradition in some parts of Nigeria, but we need to move FORWARD

We have a good President now that is doing good work. We should stay with him so that he can keep doing his work. I want to have a good election though, so I hope that the APc will choose somebody other than Buhari

Well said, most Nigerians concentrate on the negative. Let us weigh the pros and cons of GEJ's administration over the years, we will see that the pros far outweigh the cons.
