Marriage is a life time institution where applicants should be careful in the type of choice he or she make. The type of choice made can either lead to happiness or sadness for both parties involved and even their children. In this article, I am going to center my discussion on non-compatibility genotype, this does not mean that we don't have other factors that can affect marriages. It is very important for any parties to check their genotype before embarking on any relationship. We have different type of patterns in genotype where if the parties involved married can lead to happiness or disaster for both couples and their unborn children. It is said that AA and AA are compatible, while AS and AS are not compatible because they are likely to give birth to a sickle cell patient, Another dangerous combination is AS and SS. Research has shown that we have another deadly genotype compare to SS which is AC. It is so unfortunate that, the offspring of this Union have been at the receiving end of the mistake of their parents through their non challant attitude to the fact that they are not compatible or maybe ignorance on their side. In recent times, research has shown that over 10000 children died of sickle cell every year and this is in no way good for the country recording a high mortality rate. It was also discovered that over 150000 children are born with sickle cell disease (SCD) yearly in the country and this represent the highest number of persons born with it across the globe. This development has been augmented due to ignorance of the parents, illiteracy, love in its blindness nature, frustration of not getting a partner on time etc. In a nutshell, children have always been at the receiving end of the mistakes of their parents which lead to health instability and eventually dead. The government and other agencies concern should create awareness to people encouraging them to check their genotype before going into marriage. In addition government can come up with newborn screening policy where sickle cell disease can be detected early in children. Thus is done in the United Kingdom and the United States of America, and it has greatly helped in reducing the nemesis done by this disease. In conclusion, to reduce the disease to its barest minimum, the government as well as the citizens has a role to play. Couple should endeavour to check their genotype before going into any marriage ceremony and the government on the other hand should create awareness to the citizens so as to educate them properly. What has the flesh given us. The initial plan of God for our life was not to be in flesh but a spirit man. This can be found in Genesis 1:26 but sin came and change our real identity which is a spirit being to a flesh. Man was unaware what he was doing to himself when he succumb to sin. At this point, what is sin? According to my definition, Sin is what man allow to change his identity to flesh which the end result is DEATH. The Bible says in Roman 6:23, that the wages of sin is death, that is the reward. So what has flesh gave us so far. The answer to this is simple, flesh has given us pain, death problems, worries, failure and all the evil of this world. At the onset we are met to feel or experience those things but because of the sin of one man, we are subjected to all these evil vices. But God got another plan for us, he send the second man, who is Jesus in form of man but a Jesus Christ in form of the messiah. He died on the cross and reunited us back to God. So when we accept Jesus Christ into our life, the flesh in our being is replace to the spirit of God. We can overcome flesh or sin through the help of the Holy Spirit when the accept Jesus Christ into your life. The question is, do you want to overcome flesh? Do you want to be free from the torment of the flesh? If yes is your answer then you should know the right thing to do. This is the handwriting of Shola Akinpelumi. |
When will talk about relationship, the things that come to our mind is the relationship between husband and wife, a girl and a boy, man and a woman but there are also various relationships that exist, some we know but are salient because we are not conscious of them. We have relationship with God which was made possible through Jesus Christ but because we pay nothing to get that relationship most times we don't take it serious. We used to think that the relationship with God is our right, yes it is but we still need to work to keep it because it can be taken away If we are not for him. Another salient relationship I want to discuss here is the relationship with ourselves , that sound somehow right but the fact is that there is always a relationship that exist with ourselves which we don't observe most times. People that discovered themselves in life, have that cordial relationship with themselves. We miss it in life at times because the relationship with ourselves is not mutual. So to discover yourself, you need to develop a relationship with yourself which can go a long way in determining who you really are. In conclusion, apart from the relationship that exist between husband and wife, a boyfriend and a girlfriend, or parents and their children, there are other relationships which we need to take serious If and only if we want to go far in life which are the relationship with God and with ourselves. Most times in life, we ask ourselves what is fair? We want to know what are those things we need to do in order to achieve our goals. But it is so painstaking that some people have failed to do the needful in order to achieve what is really fair. So, what is really fair? when you studied hard in school, you read your books judiciously, it is fair for you to come out in flying colours but when the opposite is the case then you need to check where you have gone wrong, adjust it and expect to achieve what is really fair which is success. When you work hard in an organisation, you expect results and in no time, you expect promotion from a stage to another, which is fair but when you are not getting recognition in your place of work, no promotion, you don't need to feel reluctant, just check yourself and work hard more and in no time you will get what is fair. As an entrepreneur, you have been putting all your time and resources to your work but everything is not going according to plans, you don't need to give up because what is really fair is near, all you just need to do is just for you to keep moving and the sky will be your starting point. As parents, you have trained your children with all your resources, send them to school or to learn a vocation but after everything nothing good is coming forth. You don't need to give up on those children, because in no time you will eat the fruit of your labour. In conclusion, we all want to get what is fair so as to credit our hard work and effort in our endeavour but when the opposite is the case, we don't need to give up all we need to do is to continue working hard because what is really fair is coming our way. Students failed due to negligence on their part but not because they are not brilliant. I am one of the scholars that believe that everyone is not born dull, you are only dull when you failed to do the needful. In this article, I am going to highlight some things you need to do immediately you resume a new semester or session so that you can come out successfully 1. You must not dislike the lecturer taking you any course because that is the beginning of failure. 2. You must develop an interest in all the courses you will take for that semester or session, with this success is near. 3. You must have a positive mindset immediately you resume any semester. The positive mindset should be towards achieving your goal. 4. Make sure you glance through your note when the lecturer finished the lecture. 5. When you get home after the class, make sure you read the note again before doing anything because with that you will have the ability to be familiar with the subject. I believe if you can adhere to this steps then success is certain. This is the handwriting of Shola Akinpelumi. |
Pimples is the inflammation of the skin. They develop when the oil glands become clogged and effected leading to swollen, red lesions filled with pus. The development of pimples is primarily connected to oil production, dead skin cells, clogged pores and bacteria. Some people have undergo different ways in reducing and even eliminate pimples on their faces but in this article I will highlight five natural ways in which the effect of pimples can be minimize and this can be listed as follows : 1. Minimize the intake of oily food: intake of oily food can cause pimples when is too much. So it is advisable for an individual to reduce the intake of oily food so that the effect of pimples will be minimize. 2. Make sure you take your bathe immediately you wake up in the morning: one of the thing you need to do in order to minimize the effect of pimples is to take your bathe immediately you wake up from the bed, I think with that, you will overcome pimples. 3. Before you sleep at night, you must wash your face with soap: you must not sleep with the oil, and heat on your face so it is advisable for you to wash your face with soap before you sleep. 4. Avoid using hard sponge on your face: another thing that can cause pimples is when someone use hard sponge on his or her face therefore, it is advisable to use soft sponge to bath. 5. Avoid changing cream and soap: using of different kinds of soaps and creams can lead to pimples. Therefore, an individual should stick to one kind of cream and soap. I think with this little piece, it would help reduce the effect of pimples on our faces This is the handwriting of Shola Akinpelumi. |
I get disturb when I see young guys and even ladies being use by these so called politicians for their own selfish interest. I thought in my heart, are they blind to see that they are just being use by these people, used by people that do not have plans for them when they get to that government office. Yesterday was the final rally for all the parties contesting for a post at the local government level in Lagos, I was going to my brother's place when I saw them (young guys and ladies), dancing, chanting, drinking and some are smoking. I am not saying that is not good for young people to be around them neither am I against it but what I am concern about is what plans do they have for us(young people) after the election? Are they going to empower the youth? Or it will be the same promise and fail trend. On the 22nd of June 2017 will mark another new era in the history of Lagos state where the citizens will set out to vote for their favourite candidate for the various offices at the local government level which includes the chairman, and councillors. People's hope Will be raised high expecting a change to take place, rapid and even development in the state (just as always expected). But it should be noted that, even and rapid development that only take place in Lagos state if the elected candidate are not selfish, they are God fearing and they have the people in mind. Tomorrow will be a day where Lagos state will decide in their various Local government area and I just hope it won't be the same story. This is the handwriting of Shola Akinpelumi. |
There is always a time in our life when we need to MOVE, it can be to MOVE ON, MOVE FORWARD OR MOVE BACKWARD, but the fact still remains, we just need to move. Move from that point we are presently to a better place, move from our comfort zone, move on with life even when we are hurt or dejected. To move is just to take a bold step to something that is either bringing us down or attaining more than we have presently. You may have experience disappointment, you just have to move, you may desire to achieve more in life, you just need to move, someone may have broken your heart in a relationship, you just need to take a move, your own might have been low self esteem, you just need to move away from that shell and so on. You don't need to allow that circumstances to weaken you, there is no problem in this world that does not have solution but the solution of every problem is only determine by you, it is determine by your attitude towards the problem. You need to have a positive attitude to your problem and the solution will show up. When you take a bold step and move, your problem recognises that, it recognizes the fact there is trouble, with a positive and right attitude, you will get rid of it. Yes you may have failed waec and jamb many times but do you why you still fail? It is because you have not make a move. You have to see yourself as intelligence, you have to know that you can overcome your failure, I am a living testimony, I have that problem earlier in life but not until I make move, presently in my academic am doing better. The fact remains that you are not a failure, unless you are seeing yourself to be a failure that was why I said earlier that you need a positive attitude. I don't know who this article is touching right now but I hope you would make a move today from that point you are presently. I just hope you will desire a positive attitude and lastly you are never a failure. This is the handwriting of Shola Akinpelumi |
Satisfaction is a fulfillment of a need or desire. In my own definition satisfaction is the pleasure you derived from doing a particular thing. Success on the other hand is the achievement of one's aim or goal. In other words, it is the attainment of one's desire. Success has been mistaken with satisfaction by most people, but to some extent success and satisfaction are two different things. You might be successful yet you will not be satisfy. Being satisfy in life start with the choice you make at every point in your life. We have seen cases where students settled for any course because they have been frustrated by the one they really wanted to studied though they may be successful in that course but they may not be satisfied on the long run also we have see cases of people who are successful in a particular profession but because there are not satisfy with what they are doing, they diverted to doing the job that bring them satisfaction. A recent example of the difference between satisfaction and success can be seen in a popular hip hop artist (mayorkun) who was a banker, I think successful in that field but was not satisfied. Therefore, he had to go for what gave him satisfaction, which is music. Bill gate may not have been satisfied if he had completed his education. I will like to add this to this write up that if you are doing what makes you happy, you will have satisfaction as well as being successful. Perhaps, dangote is successful in what he is doing right now and I want to agree that he is also satisfy. This is so happiness is a state of mind and when you are happy with what you are doing, u will be successful as well as being satisfy as noted earlier. You will miss happiness in life, if you are not doing what bring joy in your life. Everything shouldn't be about money, you may have money, yet you may not be significant. When what you are doing is touching life then I can say u are significant which can result to satisfaction. Therefore I will like to stop at this note that what can bring satisfaction in life is when you are doing make you happy and what you are also doing is touching life positively. Achieving success is not enough but we should always strive to be satisfy in every thing we do. This is the handwriting of Shola Akinpelumi. |
CHOPUP411:Hmm, whst you are saying now is that the people are afraid that they may be free if they bribe the law enforcement unit. |
Jungle justice is the act of taking laws into our hands without bringing the law enforcement into the matter, some set of people supported this act while some people are against it as well as the government. The argument for those that supported this act "jungle justice" is that most of them have been victim in one way or the other with the activities of this robbers which has caused things that cannot be forgotten in their life. Another thing is that they believe that killing people who committed such crime will serve as a deterrent to others in such act to decease from it. All this reasons with many others have supported the set of people that want jungle justice. The second set of people who are against jungle justice gave reasons why this act shouldn't be welcome, one of their point is that, practicing jungle justice won't stop crime in the country rather it may arouse the anger of some people who are doing such act even to do more and in addition they are several ways in which we can punish this set of people like sentencing them to prison and while they are there, the government can set a scheme to educate them so that they can see reason for them to stop the act. The question is, is jungle justice good or bad? Will the stop in jungle justice help reduce crime or enhance it the more? Are we not supporting crime if we are against jungle justice? All this questions and many more need answers so as the people will be directed. This is the handwriting of Shola akinpelumi. |
Quite long now that I have been to Lagos, today I was traveling down to Lagos from ondo state, when I got to ojota, I decided to entered a BRT bus where I was told to take standing, right there I had a flashed back to the time when the Governor of Lagos state planned to ban the commercial buses popularly known as "Danfo". I remembered vividly then that the plan of the Governor was to maintain connectivity in the mega city and to have large transit systems to cater for the more than 23 millions population in the state. I wonder how the Governor would have done that even when the BRT buses in Lagos is not even enough to cater for one-third of the population in the state. I wonder what would have happened to the so called Danfo drivers if he had succeeded in initiating his plan then, that would have been a disaster in the state resulting to numerous social vices like high rate of stealing (Danfo drivers, conductor and the tout will have no source of living ) , unemployment, overcrowding and so on. I will put this forward that in every plan they should be a provision, the question should be what is the provision for this so called Danfo drivers if he eventually executed his plan. The problem in Nigeria is that the government do not always make provisions for every of their plans thereby making the citizens be at the receiving end (I mean the negative part of it). This has been our problem so far, and the high time the government start making provisions for every their plans, the better for everyone. Therefore, right there on the BRT bus, I discovered that if the government had executed their plans then transportation in Lagos would have become a tussle where people had to fight their way before they could get a bus to go to their places of work and for other activities. My opinion is this, I think the government should be thinking on how to enhance the transportation system in the state by bringing more buses into the state so that the state will be a better place for all or if the government wanted to ban the commercial buses drivers, then let them make provisions for them so that they will hurt Back at the innocent masses. The dictionary meaning of "Externality" is an impact, positive or negative on any party not involved in a given transaction or act. But in respond on the context of the word in this article, I will defined Externality as an external factor that either affect your progress in life negatively or positively. Dupre(2015). For instance, a man sleeping in his room could be disturbed by a cry of a baby and that may unable him to sleep very well. Another examples of Externality are the horn of motor vehicle, traffic congestion, environmental pollution, noise from the generator etc. These are Externalities that affect everyone either negatively or positively based on the direction you view it. In view of the subject matter, I will look at factors that I view as Externality in our contemporary life. More to the causes listed above, in this article I will talk on three things that lead to Externality in someone's life. Firstly, the love of women can lead to Externality for men and it can also happen to women if the reverse is the case. When a man is a casanova, where he cannot do without women. It can impede his progress in life negatively. But this doesn't mean that women cannot influence a man's life from improving tremendously but too much of it, might be disastrous. Another thing which I want to examine is the alcohol aspects of externality. This is common in the life of men, most people didn't see anything wrong I'm drinking alcohol but is a bad habit that should be stop if a man desire to be responsible in life. It is commonly said that "a drunkard hardly save". He is wasteful, the little he had will be spend on alcohol. Alcohol is an externality that should be curtail if not stop permanently. Lastly, which I want to examine is the love of too much of money. Is not a crime when you have desired to acquire money but when you are too fastidious about it that makes it bad and that lead someone into involving his or her self in so many vices when he or she cannot get the money by hook, he tries the other way round. I can say that it is the commonest kind of externalities that affect someone in life. There is a common saying that says the love of money is the beginning of all evil. By sholzydupre |

I cannot but think about the subject matter whenever am in a quiet place. I thought about it over and over again, I thought about the earlier plan of God over mankind and how man reverse the plans through the sin of one man. I always ask this question, does God want us to think about essential things of life?, does he support technology? etc. To some extent I discovered that God earlier plan for us is to think less about ourselves that is why he made everything available for man in the garden of eden, he does not want us to think about satisfying ourselves through the invention of technology, all what he asked from us, is to reproduce and multiply. Therefore, the question is, what was the earlier or initial plan of God for mankind, firstly, God created one world not many nations, the plan of God was to have one world with the same language, where people will live in unity among themselves but as a result of sin, brought about the establishment of many nations, countries and tribes. This can be seen in the Bible, he did not say let there be many cities or countries because the desired of God for mankind is oneness and equality for every humanity. Another plan of God which I have noted briefly earlier is that he only wanted man to reproduce and multiply. He never wanted man to suffer, think about anything, that is, what to eat, where to sleep etc. But man brought that to himself through the sin of a man. Therefore, in conclusion it can be seen that man created all this for himself and divert himself from the initial plan of God. By sholzydupre |

Sibrah:U r right, I just hope the government will c dis n address this issue of our borders In Nigeria and the corrupt custom that allow weapons to be importer into the country. |
By next year, Nigeria will be experiencing another population census in the country. Before I continue, I will like to defined the word "population census". It is the counting of head to head of people residing or leaving in a particular country at a particular time. Dupre (2015). The subject matter shouldn't have been so important if not for the interest and attention giving to it by many Nigerians. The Genesis of population census is to create an environment where government will be able to know the number of people living in a country, determined the dependent population and independent population, I.e dependency ratios and how to formulate a viable economic policies that will benefit all but the reverse as being the case where a state will manipulate the census result in order to achieve the most from the country's resources. The example sighted above can be trace back to the Last population census held in the country. It was believed that the population census was characterized with so much atrocities n controversial results where people force the enumerator to count their cattle, sheep's, goats and even their houses as well as dead bodies. The enumerators were also forced to count by proxy which supposed not to be so. Another issue of population census is the corrupt mindset of the enumerators and the politicians at large. This arises as a result of taking bribe in order to favour some states over others and to be giving the most allocations. This, I believe the present government will tackle because of its fight for corruption. Religious is also an issue , it is absurd in this 21st century that some people still keep their wives from others. This has made it impossible for the enumerators to get accurate figures of the country. Therefore there is need for the government to educate the people and make them understand the importance of population census for all. To mention a few, I will huge the present government to look into this problems of population census and try not to fall into the same mistakes as their past leaders so as to have a better Nigeria for all. |
Miracle Centres have been one of the issues that have been given me great concern in our contemporary Nigeria. The issue of someone running "helter sketter" so to say all because of miracle or deliverance has been a general practice undergone by many Nigerians and even presently, so to say, the so called "believers of God ". Nigeria has been a country where will have different mountains with different names, for instance, "oke iyanu", oke aanu" etc. Jokingly Even where the so called witches and wizards have turned to their homes have turned to a mountain or miracle centres overnight. Many a ministers have seen the desperation in the people and they have used that to extort them. I am one of the scholar that believe that to get miracles or to be delivered of something is not a big deal, is a thing anyone can do by himself, it just depends on how you see yourself and the issues so the need of moving from one mountain to another is not necessary. My assumption and believe is that most problems which someone faces comes from the words of the mouth, for instance, a person may rendered some foul words to himself which will later come into manifestation and affect his or her life in a negative way. Rather than going from one place to another, what the person needs to do is to reverse such words after he had discover that was the problem and that will be the solution. Lastly, going from one church to another all because of miracles can never bring solution to your problems, in most cases it will only worsen it. Therefore, I will advise the many Nigerians who still believe that moving from one church or miracle centres to another should desist from it and stick to the church which they attend and believe that there is only one God who can solve all problems. |
I want to look at a common trend in a family between the mother and her children ; the love, affections and sense of belonging have always be uncontestable. For instance, a mother is always proud of her child because of the bond that connect both of them together, the pregnancy carried for 9months or even more as the case maybe and the pains of labour. A mother don't want to lose her child, even if the child is an imp child. But the case is not always the same with the child, a child's love for his mother differs from one child to another. For instance, some children are not proud of their mothers' occupations. They wanted the luxuries of life and claim to be what they are not. A friend of mine when I was in secondary school did not love his mother because she was a pepper seller, He is not proud of his mother because of her occupation and he ends up losing his mother's love, he forgot that all fingers are not equal, which implies that you have to accept any family or household you found yourself because there is a reason for you being part of that family. In a nutshell, love shouldn't be conditional. |
