As I earlier said, USCIS did not specify either to send original copies or not which simply means it is not mandatory.

However, you can use your discretion on whichever way you find suitable for you.

Please can you expanciate on this hand written affidavit. Dont understand what exactly is the RFE request
It is an affidavits (written statement)of friends, neighbors or any knowledgeable associates who knows about the case (Beneficiary and Petitioner) are trying to prove.

Mostly, it is required whenever the USCIS is trying to establish the two years meeting requirements.

Good afternoon everyone, for those who got an RFE that says they should write a handwritten affidavit,am I supposed to send the original affidavit to my petitioner or just scan it to them and have the original with me when I’m going to the embassy for the interview?
Handwritten? I had mine typed, signed & notarized by my witnesses. It looks more official that way.

However, since it wasn’t stated either to send the original or not, I scanned a copy to my fiancée & the original is kept.

Good evening, please who knows how many days the uscis gives to reply to a request for evidence.does it usually take up to a month?
From the day it was mailed to you, you have three months to respond back & it cannot be extended.

If you received an RFE, the time frame is stated at the front page of the letter.

@Dutchleez please let us know what the RFE/RFIE was about when you get it.
RFE mail was received yesterday and here are summary:

1. Letter written to each other after the meeting referencing the specific place of our meetings.
2. Photocopies of our passports data pages and pages showing entry & exit stamps of our meeting locations.
3. Credit & debit card transaction histories showing our different purchases when we met.
4. Affidavits of friends, Neigbors or knowledgeable associates who is aware about the relationship & our meetings.

I don’t really understand these guys. Do they loose files or something? Evidence 2 & 3 was initially attached when my fiancée filed.

Well, it’s never a problem as we will make all available. More suggestions from you all will go a long way.
I also hope the above would help new filers.

Thanks & God’s Blessings!

Received RFE notification yesterday & waiting to receive the mail to know what evidence is needed.

Annoying with the delay but still hopeful.

We hope that the server will save the day.

Sad enough, server results isn't recognised by our Constitution.

So the question is, how will the PDP convince the court that server result is valid and should be adopted by the court as the correct result as against the manually collated results.

Well...
It will serve as an evidence.... Ode!

Hey guys, hope everyone is doing great? During my interview, the CO said my visa will be ready in a week, ceac updated twice last week, one after my interview and one on Saturday. On Monday, it changed to non-immigrant “application received”. No further updates since then, I do know the mumu june 12 holiday slowed things down. How long will it take. My fiancée is anxious for us to leave. I don pack bags already sef. Thanks all

Secondly, please if you are having your interview any soon, please familiarize your self with the questions asked during interview. People who had their interviews today both said COs were tough( they both used the word “brutal”) and only God made it happen(they changed one CO at the late hour). It isn’t a walk in the park. You can go on vj and go to the Nigerian section and familiarize the questions, some reviews are on here too. Good luck to everyone.
Could you please share the link to vj Nigerian k1 forum? Thanks.

K1 applicants do have their interviews at Lagos. If you live in Abuja and your petition is K1. You are having your interview in Lagos.
Oh really? It would have been great if Abuja embassy attends to K1 applicants.

That way, congestion would be averted.
Thanks for the reply anyways!

Hey Guys!
Happy weekend to y’ll

I noticed a whole lots of visa applicants I’ve come acrossed prefers Lagos embassy to Abuja embassy.
Here is my question: Could it be as a result of easy access due to their respective locations or Lagos embassy COs are more lenient while Abuja COs drills a lot grin.

I live in Abuja and my house is just twenty minutes drive to the embassy (Traffic free except for the traffic lights) and I’m hoping to have my interview by God grace at the Abuja embassy.

I’d be glad to have you guys take on this.
God’s Blessings Always!

Thanks man! Experience goes as thus.

Went through the normal protocols of security. Then went inside the embassy and waited for probably 5-6 hours? So be prepared to wait. Got there 5:20 and I left 2:10. My appointment was 6:30. 2 COs were interviewing us immigrants. One was a white and the other was a kinda Pakistani or Indian. The Asian guy already denied 2 people due to them not knowing their fiancés well. 2 were told to bring additional documents. The non- immigrants interviews were done and I could say only 6 people were given. About 10 minutes, I could see the Asian guy checking my file. Called my number and interview goes thus;

Who is petitioning for you.
When did you meet.
Where did you meet.
How did you meet.
Was she previously married?
What date was her divorce?
How many kids?
Does she stay in a house or apartment?
How much is her monthly salary?
How old is she?
How old am I?
How old are her kids?
How many?
How many times she visited me?
When is she going back?

After typing and all bragado. Man said all looks fine, gave me 2 papers, one for pick up and rights as a spouse.

Ran out cos my fiancée was out waiting for me and she was tired. Kissed her 10 times.

My advice, please know the important dates. These people are ready to approved, interview is just mere questioning. Thanks and God bless. To those who have their upcoming interview, stay confident, look them in the eyes. Before I left only 2 people were denied out of 20.
Congratulations Bro
We shall all laugh best

Hello House!
Thanks to you all for the guidelines so far. I’ve been really blessed on this thread.

My fiancée received NOA1 text from USCIS on 8th 8th of March which stated that the cas was received and a receipt notice stating how the case will be processed will be sent to her via mail on or before 7th of April 2019.

It’s over a month and my fiancée is yet to receive the mail from USCIS.

Anything to worry about?
Thanks.
