If you were born before 1992, please go and get the Attestation (the Long Format) at NPC in Surulere. Go there with the Sworn Affidavit from the Federal High Court.

How about those that were given Local government birth certificate during the time of birth, Will that suffice?
I heard the Local government birth certificate stands out than the NPC. If you do have any idea or anyone please kindly clarify.

see hen,as far as I’m concerned,these things do not go how we’re told or what weve read,you’re not only been asked questions,you’re having a conversation with the C.O.even tho he asked these things,there were still some things he asked that I don’t remember and all the things that I did wahala to get,they were not asked for,he only asked for pictures and he didn’t even look At everything,just flipped through 4-5 of them and gave me 2 white papers.the interview didn’t Even take up to 4minutes

Finally we got an RFE for not ticking a box in part 3 of the I-129F form.
I feel relieved finally hearing from them and my fiance responded to it immediately.
Hopefully we'll get the NOA2 by next week.
At this point, I'm more relaxed as i just got back from a 3weeks trip to see my fiance....was almost tempted not to return but I'm glad i did....good to migrate appropriately without abusing my B1/B2 visit visa.

I honestly feel the greatest hurdle is the USCIS stage and I almost visited USCIS case status web everyday just for an update but the day I saw “My case was approved” Mehn, my excitement was comparable to none on that day.

So chill, you’d laugh best pretty soon.

By the way, my petition approval was approximately six months. It took that long cos I also had RFE.

Filling out the form will enable you receive update via email in regards to your case.

Update such as:
1. When NVC receives your case file
2. When your case number is generated
3. When your case file is sent to US consulate

I advise you and your fiancé (e) to fill it out.

You don't need to worry, your petition is automatically extended since you have booked your interview appointment before the expired date.

See the attached message my fiancee got from embassy when he wrote the embassy to extend my petition because we couldn't get any date before the expiration date.

The response to your email was in 2018 but it seems things are slightly different now. Attached is the email I received from the embassy on Monday. Be as it may, we still hope for the best.

How was your interview? Hope it was successful

After two weeks of my initial email to LagosIV with no reply, I sent them a reminder in the early working hours of today and barely two hours later, they replied me.

However, the reply is the same to what was shared in here.

Yes I’ve submitted it. Both has barcodes but different numbers. I called, and the same thing was still sent to my email

Same with mine. Ds160 and appointment confirmation barcodes are on same page but different barcodes.
The lady I spoke with said I’m good that way and it doesn’t have to be the same.

It means only put in figures. If you make up to 200k, simply put in 200000. Currency symbol not inclusive.

Had my interview today

Got to the embassy at 5:30 am for my 7:30am appointment ,heard everyone including the security talking about the new fees of 40700 once your visa is approved and no one could explain what visa category needed to make that payment ,so I had to rush back to the hotel and got my atm to withdraw from the bank ,the guys outside were helping people for early interview withdraw and charged 1k.When I got back did normal security checks given number 14.

Went into the main building, submitted documents at window 16 submitted appointment letter ,Ds160,medicals,police report, tax return,w2,paystub,birth certificate ,gave me back some evidence my fiancee submitted to uscis and told to sit and wait for my number,there are seats for immigrants to sit and the non immigrants stand.

There were only 2 officers to interview immmigrants and they were approving people ,by 9am i was called to window 17.

When we met
How many visits
Dates
Why not marry in Nigeria ,didn't ask to see any document ,then he gave me 2 papers one for my rights in america and one circled where to pick up passport and visa would be ready in 2 weeks .

I don’t think you were supposed to pay the visa issuance fee. The fee was meant for other categories as I read on ustraveldocs. Anyways all good.

I always advice to wait till the next day before you try to schedulw an appointment. It takes hours for the receipt number to be keyed into the ustraveldocs system.

I made payment earlier today and I’ve been trying to proceed by inputting the transaction reference but each time I did I kept seeing the response in red bar. Am I missing out something or the payment is yet to be processed to their server? I’d greatly appreciate prompt response.

@Dutchleez, I think it's both her attributes and basic info. But I'll advice not to be too detailed as you could end up boxing yourself into a corner. Just 3 to 5 sentences should suffice in my own opinion. Let the CO probe for more if he/she wants more info.
