Until March 21, all travelers into the Republic of Cyprus are required to provide a valid medical certificate from an accredited medical office no more than four days old, attesting that they do not have COVID-19. In addition, only citizens and Legal Residents of the Republic of Cyprus, EU nationals and third country nationals working or studying in the Republic and diplomats, may enter the Republic of Cyprus. All incoming travelers are subject to 14-day isolation

❗- Citizens of Italy, Iraq, China, South Korea, France, Spain, Germany, Greece, USA, Switzerland, Japan, Norway, the Netherlands, Denmark, Great Britain, Sweden, Belgium, Singapore, Bahrain, Hong Kong, and Qatar, as well as people traveling from these countries will not be allowed entry into the country.

❗- Masks, gloves, disinfectants, and alcohol are now listed as supervised products. Any enterprises that over-price or stock these products will be punished.

And a subsequent release a few days later after more cases were discovered :
❗With universities and businesses closed till 27th of march, there are new additions to the list of countries that are not permitted entrance to the TRNC.

❗As of 20:00 March 16th, nationals of some 70+ countries and those traveling from these countries (including many African and Middle Eastern countries, as well as the UK) will not be allowed entry into the country - even if they have legal residency here. These countries include:

Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana, Gabon, Ivory Coast, Togo, Benin, Senegal, Gambia, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea Bissau, Mali, Burkino Faso, Niger, Chad, Sudan, South Sudan, Congo, Central African Republic, Uganda, Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Palestine, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, India, Mauritania, Malawi, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia, Angola, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Jordan, Lebanon. AND the countries listed in previous orders (Italy, Iran, Iraq, China, South Korea, France, Spain, Germany, Greece, the USA, Switzerland, Japan, Norway, the Netherlands, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Hong Kong, Belgium, Singapore, Austria, Qatar and Bahrain).

❗Citizens of these countries will not be allowed into the country even if they have residency permit. Non-citizens travelling from these countries will not be allowed into the country until March 27th EVEN IF they have valid student or work permits.

❗TRNC students in England are advised to not to leave England, nor come back to Cyprus.

❗A board of coordination is set up regarding the quarantine in Salamis Hotel.

❗Markets will stop selling warm and cold food, starting from 16th March (tomorrow). This does not include baked goods.

❗Those who do not obey the 14-day surveillance will be arrested by police and taken to an observational center, this will be mandatory.

You cannot quarantine all incoming travelers.

The best you can do is request they self-isolate and institute a fine should they be found outside.

No country would quarantine thousands of incoming visitors - none.

Yoi either close your borders or suggest self-isolation.

You only quarantine confirmed cases.
