I'd think passport validity would only come into play if you are attempting to travel on a temporary resident visa of some sort.

You guys are PRs for goodness sake! You have right of entry!!! shocked grin
This is not correct, I contacted Lufthansa customer service yesterday and was told that passport validity must be at least 3 months at the time of boarding. So guys please contact your airline before jumping into conclusion.

I am a silent follower of this thread although I have posted here once or twice in the past but I just feel I should post this to encourage someone.

I got interested in migrating to Canada in January, 2016 and so the first step was for myself and spouse to write IELTS which we both wrote in March, 2016. When the result came out we discovered that our CRS point was not enough to get an ITA so we decided to go through the PNP route. We sent an EOI to one of the provinces that was opened at that time and got an invitation to apply to the province which we did in August, 2016. There was total silience from the province till march this year when we got a mail that we had been nominated by the province. This gave us additional 600 CRS points which automatically gave us an ITA in the next draw.

We submitted our application for permanent residence on the 27th of May and got an AOR that same day. Medicals got passed on the 8th of August, got na2 the next day after which there was no movement till 24th of September when my ADR changed to not needed. I also got to know that my application was transferred to London. My application clocked 6months on the 27th of November but my application status was still Na2. This got me worried so I sent a mail to London but did not get any reply. I then sent another mail but this time around they replied stating that my application was awaiting final review by an officer. Before long, on the 30th of November I check my application status and discovered that I was in ip2 (we are processing your background check). Later that same day I got an email from donotreply stating that I have a message in my cic account, checked my account and saw the golden mail I had been dreaming of for almost 2years. It was a ppr mail. This is actually the happiest day of my life. The feeling of excitement cannot be explained. Can't wait to start life in Canada.

Never give up on your dreams.
I wish everyone still waiting speedy ppr.

Hello everyone,

After submitting my application, i discovered that I uploaded reference letter for job A in the holder provided for job B and that of job B in the holder provided for job A. Please what can I do to correct this? Can this be a reason for rejection?

Please I need your candid advice.

That's good. You're welcome. It pays to follow due process in vital issue like this. I am very sure if due process is followed and meet the lay down criteria, one must jubilate at the end.

So, you're at the stage of getting assessed right? Cuz EOI comes last.

No, i have already done my assessment and got ITA last week. But the contrasting information on their site is my confusion. i am applying for visa 189. I just needed to know what those that had gone through this uploaded.

I think your documents need to be certified order than the original as stated on the screenshot. Bminz can throw more light on this.

To be on the safe side, I will just notarise them. Thanks for your response.

I want to believe you have received your ITA, meaning this upload is to DIBP.
Certified copies are preferred.
More information at link below.

Alphadoor thanks for your earlier response but in the site below, colored scan was recommended.https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/189-/Skilled-Independent-visa-%28subclass-189%29-document-checklist
This is really confusing. Please those that have successfully passed this stage should put mouth in this matter.

I want to thank bellong and and other wonderful people that have made this forum very informative. The good news is that I just got a positive outcome from vetassess but I am in a dilemma. My wife just also got ITA from Canada express entry but has not submitted her application. Now we are confused on whether to go ahead with Australia or Canada since at this point we cannot apply for the two. Please which of the two should we go for? How good is the quality of life in Australia? Please elders and gurus in the house, I need your wise counsel.

Good day everyone,

Will it be fine if I only show fixed deposit and don't mention savings account? The fixed deposit is from 2015 and covers funds required. In this case, am I still required to upload bank statements? Or only fixed deposit certificate and bank letter mentioning this fixed deposit will suffice?

Please someone should be kind enough to give me an answer to this.
Thanks in advance.

Please confirm if your result was upgraded eventually. And indicate which of the modules was upgraded if any.
I remarked writing and it was upgraded from 6.5 to 7.5. So remarking could be a good idea if you you have enough time to wait.

It take 6 - 8 weeks for remarking.
The results will also be frozen during the period so its a long wait for me considering that 2nd June is around the corner. Its really annoying for me as I missed out on expected band in reading by 0.5 but wont remark for now as we await spouse's results. I'v had to re-register for the exam though.
In my case,it took 13 weeks for me to get my result after remark, the 6-8 weeks is just the minimum time you have to wait to get your result.

Congrats to everyone that will get ITA in this round.
I am presently trying to complete my post ITA application. I have enough money for the proof of fund but the problem is all the money is in my accompanying spouse name. Will this be acceptable to CIC? Is it compulsory for the funds to be in the principal applicant's account? Please has anyone faced similar situation and succeeded? Please gurus in the house help a brother, I am confused.

Dear everyone,

I am not claiming points for my NYSC employment but the system is requesting that I upload employment records for this period. Will my NYSC certificate alone be enough since I am not claiming points for this period? Has anyone done this in the past without any problem?

Hello everyone, I just got ITA, and presently , I am gathering documents. Please, what is the size of the digital photo we are expected to upload? Some sites say 35x 45mm, while some say 50x70mm. For those that have passed through this stage and have been successful, what size did you upload? Also, is reference letter alone enough or one has to add payslips?

Hello everyone, I just got a PNP nomination and would be expecting to get ITA in the next draw. In filling the application post ITA, should I leave my spouse's work experience out of the work history section in order to avoid providing evidence and only include it under the personal history section? Please has anyone done this and gotten positive outcome? You candid response would be appreciated. Thanks.
