Matthew was the one doing that at the AYC. But I guess Manu has been looking for a way to accommodate his stars hence Kelechi's inclusive in the middle hindered Matthew against Brazil. If he was not injured, Matthew would have played today.

I'd seriously like Manu to move Kelechi to the wings and allow him cut inside. Then the question becomes, who does he cut to do that? Yahaya, Saviour, Moses, Success (since he prefers Taiwo in front)?

I agree, but I think manu made changes to teach them a lesson.

But we need a mix of defensive strength and offensive decisiveness.

I feel is the other way around. If the pitch is wide, you need Natural wingers because they reach the attack by crossing the ball. That covers the distance. In a narrow pitch, it suits an inverted winger because he is closer to the post and does not need to run a long distance to shoot.

Remember Henry when he joined Arsenal at Highbury. The pitch was small and Narrow. Henry had a swell time there.

The defensive organisation is better but the attack is not the best. Bulbwa worked hard defensively but offered little going forward.

I will replace him with iheanacho.

The team is not there yet but there is progress.

Hopefully, they peak in the knock out rounds

Actually, I'd like to see saviour start. The defence was left too exposed in the last game. The players coming in know that they must play well. That puts the desired pressure on yahaya and other starters against brazil.

Just saw the obituary here in Enugu. He died on 13th May, 2015 and will be buried on 4th June. May his soul rest in peace.

In hindsight though, Awoniyi should remain on the bench for now. Success must take his place!
Sokari should come in and take up Ihenacho's role.
Ihenacho could stay on the right while Yahaya or Moses simon should claim the left side of the pitch.

their technical team has been in the business longer. Manu should find the best partnership upfront in the next game, be it awoniyi+isaac or isaac+ yahaya. One must be benched and he should work on the midfielders. They lack stamina

well the tactics work in the first half but in the second half the brazilian coach made some alterations, he told the their ryt back to limit his runs forward and made their midfielders cut supplies to naija's attackers. Manu garba should have changed the formation to 4-4-2. Maybe its time one striker sits on the bench.
