You, Nickelodeon93 and a host of other naive applicants were the reason I posted that long epistle yesterday, out of my very tight schedule. There are useful tips on this thread, right from the beginning, if only you guys could exercise enough patience and read back to back and internalise them, you'd not need any fuckingg agent to help you in filing your application.

Annoyingly, the majority of them don't know jack, when it comes to visa application handling. The few of them too come here to learn, secretly and they suddenly become visa pro. Imagine, he used a wrong state of origin for you..that alone is implicating and a clear proof that, most of them are as good as agberos and touts you see on the street shouting owo mi da. You're much more knowledgeable than they are but because you don't have that patience to read, you always fall prey each time.

Is it the possibility of wasting the money you spent that one would be worried about , or the panick modes they would put you into, or the anxiety...this alone can be killing, especially when others are receiving good news about their application while agent is turning his back at you, after putting you on a long wait. Or is it the risk of being banned by the country you're applying to by submitting fraudulent documents? Sadly, you'd not even detect all these fraudulent activities because the majority of them would deny you access to your profile.

No agent has ever taught me how to go about anything. I read widely. Before NL came up with such a useful thread as this, I had exposed myself to Indian threads, quora, etc on useful visa and travel tips and they've really helped me.

Brother, I understood everything you said. The thing is that I was never intending to meet an agent to handle the application for me. However, my senior brother took me to him because he has helped him with a Chinese visa in the past and he'd developed a trust for him oblivious to him that he could later turn a tiger. Anyway, I appreciate your comment.

Unfortunately you still need your email and the password details to login.

Since you have completed is fees, I will suggest you go back to him and request for the email and password but if after he refused, maybe you involves the police my opinion anyways... Because without that details can't access anything but you can only apply for a fresh one, forget about the saying that you need to know the details he filled for you talk.

No, my email wasn't used. He created a new one and never revealed any to me.

What other ways can I get to know the status of my application?


I submitted an application on the June 27, 2023 through an agent. The agent has been paid his money in full and ever since then he has refused to either let me have access to the application or inform me about its current status. To make the matter worse, he created a track account for the application using my UCI and I neither have access to the track nor application. Please fellow Nairalanders, I need your help.

Please I need your help. An agent my brother got for me submitted an application for me since 28 June, 2023 and uptill now no decision has been made. The worst part is that the agent refused me access to the account and the track account. I have told him to withdraw the application that I'm no longer interested and he accepted but only for him to collect his balance and lock up. Now he is saying that he submitted group applications that he can't withdraw mine. OK, I told him to give me my track account login details at least so I could know when decision is made and that it is my personal property for future applications and refuse. The most annoying part is that I have gotten a job offer and would like to make a new application and I needed to follow up the ongoing application to know the right time to make the application. And from my observation when I logged in to my previous application that got refused, I noticed that there was two unread messages that was probably sent to the account he created but I can't just read it since I don't have access to the account. To crown it all, he blocked me and doesn't inform me about the condition of the application and I don't want to make trouble with anyone. Please, is there anyway I can retrieve my track detail from IRCC probably by proving to them with my documents that it belongs to me?

Common,you paid for the services he is rendering to you,you are his boss,you have every right to know the progress of ur application.....call him this morning and ask for ur application login details,if he is still proofing stubborn,get him arrested asp for breach of agreement and proof to d law enforcement agency that he is trying to scam you....if na me,na soldier I go use....

My brother, I truly understand your point but this man is something else. If I had known I would not have had anything to do with him but it's rather too late. Well I'll just wait for the final result since there's no alternative and I wouldn't want to escalate the matter yet; thanks.

My agent denied me access to my accounts (including visa application and track account) and I don't think it's proper. I'd tried to explain things to him but he's too stubborn and maintained that I should wait until everything is done and it's over four months now. Again, I have recently gotten employment offer which I wouldn't want to miss and there's no time to cancel the application and submit a fresh one.


Please is there any way I can reset my track email and password to enable me monitor what's going on in the account?

Yes, you can switch your visitor visa to work permit inside Canada using "flagpole". Flagpole is legit.

Good day everyone.. Please I need your assistance. I applied for a job in Canada but I wasn't sure if I was going to get it and that made me to submit an application for a visit visa. Then eventually I got the job after a very long time and they issued a LMIA too. Now the visa is not yet out and according the company I'm supposed to travel to Canada and start work by next month.

However, I don't know if I should cancel the visa and submit a fresh visa application. Or if it will be possible to switch the visit visa using the LMIA when I travel to the country. Your advice will be appreciated.
