For a spouse and/or dependent child of a permanent resident, I will advice you to apply for a relative-permit for your wife and daughter instead of visiting visa. You are a permanent residence holder and your family are qualified for a relative permit to join you in South Africa. And these permits are valid for a minimum period of 2 years. Olusegunz: |
Normally the processing time for a business visa it shouldn’t be more than 3 weeks, even sometime it’s usually take around 10 working days to process business visa which is 2 weeks and within this period the applicant will be knowing his/her faith whether the visa has been granted or rejected. To my knowledge its best to apply as early as possible, as the time taken for your visa to process will vary from different embassy. Since your trip will take place from 04 March 2022, I pray they should get back to you this week otherwise the application will be deny automatically because I have heard many people outside nairaland that denied base on their purposes of travel. The South African embassy said the event was over. This a lesson for others and whoever want to apply for a visa they should allow longer to ensure any delay does not affect their visa application or trip. The best time to apply for a business visa is at least 2 months before the business trip to any countries. WrathJustified: |

The VISA is 100% FAKE Olayinka1230: |
The embassy requested 3 months bank Statements but why do you wanted to submit more than 3 months? Please don’t over “DO” Gentlesoul3268: |
I’m sorry your visa application was rejected, you have the option of re-applying or appealing to the decision... but your own case was totally difference as the visa officer didn’t mention the reason for rejection and no document stating the reason for rejection. Remember I told you that it’s 50/50 chances when its comes to Schengen tourist visa especially if you are not a frequent travelers. Please don’t rush by making another visa application at the moment, you may go ahead and appeal but there is no guarantee on the time scale of the appeal process as immigration-related matters can take longer to process. Meanwhile you can start looking for a business conference for July and August. Donbaba123: |
Good moved… Since you weren’t been given any document related to your overstay and also you have make a planned with the immigy officer then you have no issue concerning the overstay again. Importantly, it does not matter if your ban has over and you can only return to South Africa once you have applied to the South African Department of Home Affairs for the ban to be lifted as it is not automatically removed from their system. The person must apply for the ban to be lifted. If he/she do not, he will be refused entry into South Africa at the Port of Entry. Good luck bro. Hiikayauto: |
Do you know the consequences of overstaying? Anyone who overstay their visa by more than 30 days will be declared ‘undesirable’ and banned for a period of 5 years. This means that the person will not be allowed to re- enter South Africa for the next five years. The ban applies to any person who has overstayed, adults and children. Also affects people who leave South Africa while their application for a visa (or visa extension) is pending, if their current visa has expired. By the way did you receive a document from Immigration officer, confirming to be an 'undesirable' person, when you exit South African border? Hiikayauto: |
Don’t get me wrong. I never said he does not have travel history but most Schengen embassies and Canadian embassy doesn’t recognize people that visited African countries as part of frequent travelers. Let me bust your mind… in the past few months why is it that French embassy only accepted application from those whom have traveled to UK, US, Canada and Schengen territories?? Donbaba123: |
It’s alright if you already applied. Let’s pray for the good luck. Donbaba123: |
Lol… as you mentioned you have been to 4 countries within African continent and one outside the continent (UAE). Well, that is not justified your travel experiences. I am talking with past experiences, I bet you have 50/50 chances of getting the tourist visa. It’s better you cancel your planned and make another plans by going with the business trip. Even with your attached via tours booking that doesn’t guarantee the visa. Please don’t waste your time and money. Donbaba123: |
As a first timer for a Schengen visa you have 50/50 chances. However, if you have obtained a Schengen, UK, Canada and the US visas once, then you are a frequent traveler, you are more likely to be granted tourist visa. I will suggest you change your plans to the “Business trip” You can look for a conference that related to your field or business. A tourist Schengen visa can be good for a frequent travelers. The visas are issued specifically for the purpose of travel for pleasure, while a 'business' visa generally permits a traveler to engage in normal business-related activities. So you need a supporting letter to apply for business visa, which a invitation letter from the organizer in France. Donbaba123: |
No appointments or submissions at South Africa Visa Application Centers in Lagos because they were temporarily remain closed for applications submission until further notice. But The Consulate General in Lagos will continue to process all pending applications. folalekan: |
