FINAL GOODBYES...
I, SiriusBlack, about a month ago, started this thread on this wonderful platform called Nairaland to show Nigerians the struggles and successes of the Gallant NIGERIAN ARMY through pictorials..the thread was all I did with my spare time, uploading photos and encouraging Nigerians that the Army was working to make the average Nigerian safe..Thanks to guys like Henry's intelligent analysis of weapon systems, EasternLeopard's quite unorthodox tactical advice, Jakumo's frank assessments, IbnSultans ceaseless encouragement, Komekn's constructive criticism, quid's insults, adeyemik's comments, cirmuell's early morning greetings(I see ya bro!), Chris365's encouragements and all other friends I made here while doing this work, we built what can be said th be the best social media thread in this country...I enjoyed all the appreciation of this country's fighting men who toil day and night in the trenches fighting for peace..I was flipping. A popular Defence blog today, when I saw something that broke my heart and almost drove me to tears..while I have never admitted to being a soldier, I felt like the COAS's comments were aimed at this threas and all another defence blog we all know about...I felt sad and disappointed..the COAS referred to internet campaigns for the army as work of "Unpatriotic" and "Disgruntled" elements...my heart sank...all I wanted was some P.R for this war on terror..since all we were fed was inaccuracies on SaharaReporters and co..The Army chief, I believe, simply means that he does not want us to do PR for the Army anymore...perhaps Olukolade can handle it...anyway, I decided to respect his wishes and stop...I still have 654 photos in my archives, with 63 coming in today...but, now, ill stop now...Let the army do its work itself..not to give "disgruntled" elements like me..lol...the journey has been good so far...for now, its Goodbye..ill only resume posting if the Army officially hints that I can continue..till then, wish me luck, pray for me, as I shall, for you all...
Goodbye SIRS.(Salute)
Nigerian military and their secrecy.

That is how we lost thousands of troops in sierra leone and liberia but claimed victory which unknow to Nigerians was a pyhric victory especially when you consider the fact that many wore motor cycle helmets to battle.

I just pity the boys now that the military wants to become secretive since corruption tends to thrive in a secretive system.

My advice to you is that if you pray 1hr before, pray 3hrs now because you guys are about face the untold story of our campaign in Liberia and Sierra Leone.

I pity Minimah

He is a COAS who do not know the effect of propaganda on the national fighting spirit.

B4 the end of next year Minimah will witness an unprecedented desertion and cowardice on the part of the military as Sahara and other BH media outlet will paint the war gloomy and unwinnable.

The number of military applicants will drop and those who joined out of unemployment will avoid combat the way the police avoid armed robbers.

Pls keep collecting photos it will be needed in the future to tell the story of unknown soldiers.

As for your advice thanks but remember through out military victories it was unconventional tactics that brought decisive victories.

Note

Today's conventional tactics was Yesterday's unconventional tactics eg Napoleon's non-battle array tactics, Hitler's blizkreig tactics, Vietnam tunnels etc

prettyboi1: Quit blind argument simply download the Nigerian constitution to your phone if you use a smartphone. I'm out.
Where in the constitution was it written that a state can declare herself a sharia state especially states that have natives that are Christians
.
You are a political baby who don't even know the history of BH let alone what makes the military thick then and thin now.
PoliticsRe: Why Was Ekwueme Sent To Prison While The President Was On House Arrest. by EasternLeopard: 12:23pm On Jul 27, 2014
The day Buhari did this was the day he sealed his fate as a true anti-corruption crusader.

Jerry Rawlings killed everyone including his tribe men.

Nature has a way of purnishing those who are double standard in their dealings.

With all due respect to Ojukwu my hero, he kicked against Adaka Boro Nigerdelta republic only to lead a Biafra republic.

People like Awo Zik Balewa Sarduna etc paid dearly for their double standards in politics.

One advice I have for everyone is

Nature has a way of punishing those who practice double standards.

Asari might have a point especially when we care to answer this question

WAS BUHARI USING BULLET PROOF CARS BEFORE.

If no, can we conclude that we will start witnessing the assasination by bombs of Northerners loyal to GEJ.

Politicians can do desperate things.

They are sending new recruits that are to be trained in Cross River.

Or

War supplies have arrived calabar port and so were sent to pick them for the boys fighting BH.

Protest a war in a far away country while yours is on fire.

Don't they think BH might mix up with them and attack the military in order to open a second front in the NW the way the fulanis tried to open a second front in NC.

Next time I will advise the soldiers to endure and ignore in order not stir up another demonic group especially the shittes who's major sponsor Iran are looking for every opportunity to destabilize the US/ISRAEL and oil producing Nations that are pro-US/ISRAEL.

prettyboi1: Because whether you like it or not,Sharia exists in our constitution and as long as it is there we must respect it. I'm not a Muslim, but it is what it is & Obasanjo played his role by following the constitution. If we don't want it,then the national assembly must vote to get it out.
Pls never support stupidity just because you want to score cheap point on political issues.

During shagari's regime, sharia was opposed especially it becoming a state law.

During OBJ's regime, in order to frustrate OBJ, some Northern governors declared their states sharia states which led to protest by native Northern Xtians.

OBJ in order to avoid coup then, succumb to their pressure. These governors went ahead to sponsor Islamic groups that believes in sharia rule of which today's BH was a beneficiary of Borno's state support.

because the sharia was not total, they felt that if sharia is practiced the way it is practiced in Islamic Nations, poverty will dissappear.

That was the beginning of the struggle for total sharia of which some choose arm struggle as a means of achieving it while some choose non-violet approach.

IF OBJ HAD STOPPED THE NORTHERN GOVS FROM DECLARING THEIR STATES AS SHARIA STATES, THEY WONT BE ANY ORGANISE SHARIA TERROR GROUP LIKE BH
PoliticsRe: What Happened To The Nigerian Army . by EasternLeopard: 10:23am On Jul 27, 2014
prettyboi1: What happened to them is the cowardly so-called "commander-in-chief",Mr. Goodluck Jonathan who fears any and everything/everyone and keeps making cheap cowardly excuse. If a person like Obasanjo were still president, trust me motivation woulda be typically high. Here,Mr.Jonathan cannot even visit his own troops at their battlefields in the same country where he claims to be president over, how much more if they were fighting in another country.
#JonathanMustGo
Trash

Was it not the same OBJ that said he gave them their sharia in order to have peace.

1) Nigerdelta militants and BH knows what makes the Nigerian Military thick and have strategize on how to take them down which is what other armed groups in Sierra Leone, Liberia, Somalia etc never did.

What are those things that make the Nigerian military thick

(A) air superiority which militants and most especially BHs have countered using anti-aircraft guns.

(B) Artillery barrage which have being countered by missing up with the non-combat population.

(C) Tanks which have being countered using anti-tank weapons.

(D) Mass attack similar to Japanese Banzai charge which have being countered by shooting thousands of bullets in the direction of the charge.

Other tactics employed by these armed groups are

A) guerrilla tactics esp ambush

B) guerrilla-conventional tactics

C) conventional tactics

D) mass attack against small units in other words deploying more attackers in the ratio let's say at least 5 attackers to 1 defender.

shymexx: It's either most of you are feigning ignorance, or Nigerians are just generally selfish, and insensitive to other people's plight.

Isn't there a war currently going on in that country, with boko haram attacks?

This is the google images link of what's going on in Nigeria: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=boko+haram+attacks&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=qCPUU8LfGe2f7AbIxIGYBA&sqi=2&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAg&biw=1252&bih=602

^^Pray tell me that isn't a war. Oh, because it doesn't affect you directly, the country is peaceful, no?

Smh @ these mofos getting emotional about war pictures, and screaming peace - when there's a war currently going on in the same country. It's a only a matter of time before it spreads to other parts of the country undecided
Thank you

Lagos has being bombed, signifying the escalation of the war.
PoliticsRe: The Insider Story Of Damboa Invasion by EasternLeopard: 11:25pm On Jul 26, 2014
Hmmm

Which ethnic group occupies damboa

You said each soldier was given 2000 rounds and Tarvor guns.

How do we verify the authencity of your info. Since Sirius had being preaching about proper weapons and large volumes of it.

Remember you told us you are in the Academy.

ugo4u: Last week it was a huge shock to Nigerians and the international community on the invasion and sacking of Damboa community by Bokoharam fighters, the questions many are asking are
1)Where was the military during the onslaught
2)Why was the community open to attack putting into cognisance past massacre on the same people
3)Why wasn't there any response during the attack, and many more pertinent questions that lingers in the mind of well meaning Nigerians.
Am gonna tell u guyz what transpired as an insider because many people really don't appreciate the work of the military and underestimate the capabilities of the armed forces due to share ignorance and mayb because we don't blow our trumpets.
B4 d Damboa attack last week many gallant men, I mean commandos and patriots that are battle proven by UN missions in Liberia, sierra leone, Sudan etc even in somalia where the American marines literally ran away the nigerian army proved otherwise and restored sanity to those nations the records are there, so what really happened in Damboa? Soldiers guarding the community where frequently sabotaged by the so called citizens of Nigeria and in some instances they hid weapons for insurgents to kill soldiers many many men died and many others were left handicapped go to 44 reference hospital kaduna and see for urself the sacrifices of this young men... The army authoritis got angry and left the village since they were the primary cause of death to the troops after several months of whining and dinning with the devil things got sour btw the villagers and insurgents and as Karma wud have it Bokoharam wiped the whole village, the army got wind of the information, in fact the troops 4rm 7th battalion responsible for Damboa where armed with Tarvo 21 with about 2000 rounds of live ammunition per man with avalanche of RPGs that wud flattened an area the size of lagos in 15min, morale was very high but they wanted to teach the villagers a good lesson, which unfortunately most of them where wiped off. So friends pls stop the unnecessary ambush on the military support them anyway u could, if u feel they are cowards kindly enlist and show them how it is supposed to be done.........#21 gun salute to the fallen heroes, may there rugged soul rest in perfect peace.. Aye Aye
