If i am not mistaken, the affiliation took effect mid last year. When render the school of nursing null and void. Splendidly they should be under the administration of Unimed and enjoy whatever goodies it offer and endure whatever poo it presents grin Now they created a ghost name for them that is not registered and recognize anywhere. Ibadan is the dirtiest state capital. You had better advise Ajimonbi to go and see Calabar, that very beautiful city. Let him meet his counterpart in Lagos to give him some clues. He should go and check Ilorin, that very neat city. Perhaps, he should go and look at the small city of Ado -Ekiti and see how clean it is. He can go to Osogbo and Akure.
Omo'badan.
I think it has to do with the attitude of the people, there are waste management in IB reaching most nooks of the city even the worst district of oje and beere. You shouldn't expect to the government to start sensitize them on how to use the management. I know places like Onireke, Jericho, idi ishin, Samonda, iyanganku, Agodi and other where you hardly find a trash on the ground in IB. Are the people living there not human being, I guess am right if i conclude poverty really affect people ways of life. And there is no sense in claiming Ibadan is the dirtiest city, no sense in comparing it with those small city with sparse population.
Politics / Osinbajo Inaugurates Presidential Committee On Sdgs by Eastwalk(m): 10:23pm On Sep 15, 2017
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has inaugurated the Presidential Council on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which will provide policy direction for the implementation of the goals in Nigeria and ensure coherence at national and sub-national levels.

Osinbajo, who inaugurated the council on Friday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, said that the council’s work will be crucial for resource mobilization, prioritization of interventions, periodic assessment and overall oversight of the SDGs implementation.

He said that the All Progressives Congress (APC)- led administration has taken the firm view that the implementation of the SDGs agenda will have decisive implications for Nigeria’s development.

The development, Osinbajo said, explains why the SDGs occupy “a prominent place in our Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP) which the President launched in April to guide Nigeria along the path of inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

“We are therefore in the real sense a generation at the threshold of history saddle with the responsibility of bringing about the change that would alter our development trajectory for the benefits of our people and plans.”

According to the Vice President, progress on the goals will have a positive effect on poverty and unemployment numbers, reduce the maternal and child mortality and on figures of out of school children.

He said, “It will empower our girls and women and bridge the gender inequality gap. Success with the implementation of the SDGs will have impact on our cities and on the quality of lives of those who live within them.”

The Daily Times recalls that at the UN General Assembly in 2015, President Muhammadu Buhari joined other heads of states and governments to adopt the SDGs- a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that our people enjoy peace and prosperity.

Osinbajo said; “Audaciously ambitious as the goals may appear, they capture the urgency and rage of the major challenges that confronts humanity especially developing nations. They underscore the reality that only global partnership supporting home grown and inclusive solutions stand a chance of achieving the goals. Building on the MDG, the SDGs open new priorities such as climate change, economic inequality, innovation, sustainable consumption, peace and justice.”

He explained that the goals are interconnected and succeeding in one would involve dealing with issues fundamentally associated with another.

Politics / Turkish deplomat slams Buhari over Soldiers deployment to South East _Video by Eastwalk(m): 9:51pm On Sep 15, 2017
A Turkish diplomat, Abdulkadir Erkahraman, has faulted the deployment of soldiers to the South East by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government.

Erkahraman, who took to his Facebook page, described Buhari as an “idiot” for allegedly killing members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

The Diplomat, who recently visited Kanu at his country home in Afarau Ukwu in Umuahia, the Abia State capital warned that Buhari will be killed soon by “Biafran Army.”

According to Erkahraman, “Buhari, I am calling you from Istanbul, Turkey. Stop killing the people. Are you crazy? You idiot, crazy man. What are you doing? What kind of religion do you believe in? Is there any chapter in the Quran that says you should kill the people? You have to stop killing the people or how are you going to stand in front of your God in the hereafter?

“I’m telling you on behalf of Biafra, stop killing the people, I’m also a Muslim it’s not allowed, 500 hundred Biafrans killed and you said they are your nation. Let me tell you the Boko Haram terrorist will come and kill you too one day. You are eating and drinking the blood of your national, you are an idiot.

“The Army of the Biafrans are coming and they will fight you. The Biafrans are saying they don’t want to fight, they want to negotiate but you are killing them, how old are you now, you will die very soon, you crazy man.

I will say it again stop killing the Biafrans, they are also humans. You idiot, why are you afraid to talk to this people? Why can’t you sit with this people at a roundtable and negotiate peacefully?

“Buhari, tell your dogs to stop, when you die how will you face your God?

“I’m saying it again, stop killing the people sit and negotiate, you are a human being with father, mother, children and so on.

“If you were them how will you feel, they don’t have weapons, aircrafts, tanks in their hands yet you are killing them with your guns, open your eyes you will die very soon, they have their lives, they are suffering.

“We will show you very soon you idiot man, I’m telling you on behalf of Biafrans worldwide you will die soon and face punishment, this group will kill you one day. They are human being like.

“You will see what will happen to you and your dogs very soon, it’s not enough for you to go to criminal court, you will die very soon, you think we are playing this is not a children game you will see what will happen to you very soon, you are not killing cows, they are human beings.”
