You're not helping yourself here. What error does it show before it restarts? Do you see a blue screen?

Also, the first step to problem solving is to know for sure what causes the problem. Find out what actually causes the PC to restart. You cannot blame viruses if you haven't tried another antivirus. The problem may perhaps be from the Avast itself.

Try installing another antivirus first. If you don't know where to get one, go to filecrop.com and search for antivirus softwares there. Comodo is a very strong one.
But first, copy that error and post it here.

1. Have you tried installing another anti-virus aside Avast? (I'd recommend Comodo)

2. Does your PC show an error (or anything) before restarting?

You dont need to format your pc. I'm having trouble understanding you. Do you already have an anti-virus or are you trying to download one? If you do, what kind of anti-virus do you have?

What website are you downloading from? Google is just a search engine that links you to other websites.

Yesterday on my way to work, I saw this man sitting on the sidewalk eating something out of a bowl, it didn't take long to notice that it was little bits of bread soaked in water.
Out of compassion, I gave him N200 and walked away.

Also, during thanksgiving in my church, I see rich men donating millions of naira to the church (already completed) while beggars sit hopelessly under the scorching sun outside the church gate. Outside the church gate!! and after church, these same men would either totally ignore the beggars trailing after them or give them 10 Naira. 10 Naira!! Shame on them all. They give money to churches as though the priests would send the money directly to God.

The best way to please God is to help other people.
