Please the look left and look right sign written on the floor dies it mean that you need to look to the side indicated or is for vehicles
In the UK they only drive on the left hand side. So the sign helps us JJC so that we don't get hit looking our right for incoming vehicle. grin grin

UKmigrant:
Things we have to endure living in a shared house. So far, these are the bullshits I have been enduring:

1. One of my housemates told me to please walk more slowly and gently while climbing stairs as it disturbs her downstairs.

2. One of the bottles of wine I kept in the fridge went missing, my fruits go missing too.

3. One told me to always close the kitchen door when cooking as the smell makes him uncomfortable.

4. A note was left by a housemate to keep the TV volume down between a certain time as she would be doing a nightshift and needed to sleep.

5. Another note on the kitchen sink by one that she doesn't share her mugs, plates and spoons.

6. Constant triggering of the fire alarms almost everyday depending on who is cooking.

7. Housemates not willing to clean the common areas.

8. Housmates ignoring you when they drive by even when they see you on the roadside in the rain.

9. One asked me, I heard you're some kind of professional, what do you really do

10. Most never remember my name grin

11. There is a whatsapp group for us, we're just four in the house, but no one responds to any questions you post on it. They're all whites by the way.

12. If you don't bring out your clothes from the washing machine on time, they just evacuate it and dump on a dirty surface for you rather than tell you even though you just saw each other seconds ago.

13. Waiting to use the bathroom especially in the mornings and skipping shower sometimes to avoid being late to work.

I'll add more if I can think of anything else.

So it's not all rosy cry

grin cheesy grin grin grin savages.

I have a lot of friends who are lawyers and are into internet fraud.

Once they tell people they are lawyers, everybody just assumes they must be gainfully employed and that this must be responsible for their lavish lifestyles.

Yet, here is the Branch Chairman of the NBA involved in something as vile as internet fraud.

A microcosm of the kind of society that we live in. One that is ruled by money and might without regard for any other virtue.

Nairaland / General / Rape Allegation: CAN Disowns COZA Pastor by Ebendo123(m): 9:02am On Jul 04, 2019
The Christian Association of Nigeria has distanced itself from the rape allegation against the senior pastor of Commonwealth General Assembly, Biodun Fatoyinbo, saying that he was not a member of the Christian body.

CAN however, said it believed that the embattled clergyman would be vindicated at the end if he was innocent of the rape allegation by a former female member of his church.
The Christian body made its position known on Wednesday in a statement signed by its National Director, Legal and Public Affairs, Barrister Kwamkur Samuel Vondip and made available to journalists in Jos.

The statement said, “The Christian Association of Nigeria is deeply concerned about the ongoing rape allegation saga arising from a confessional statement by a former female member of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, Mrs Bisola Dakolo against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, the Senior Pastor of COZA.

The association recognises that COZA, to the best of our knowledge, is not a member of any of the families that belong to CAN. CAN, as an association, is equally sad that there have been recurrent allegations of rape and infidelity against some gospel ministers and other Christians as well.

“Immoral relationships with anybody in the society are against the teachings of the Bible and the church and we urge all believers all over the country to run away from them.

“We are also deeply concerned for the families of Pastor Fatoyinbo and other pastors accused, for whom this period must be one of great pain. May God grant justice to all and vindicate all who are innocent.

“The association understands the challenges of preachers who, by virtue of their position as parents of all in the church, may stand the danger of being accused.
While we do not know for sure whether or not some or all of the allegations of rape and illicit relationship levelled against members of the clergy are true, we strongly appeal to all Christians to avoid blackmail against any brother or sister in the church for whatever reason. All of us must avoid making ourselves vulnerable”
While calling on the security agents to get to the roots of the matter, the Christian body also urged all ministers of the Gospel to shun all appearances of evil especially unregulated closeness to church members so as to avoid scandals.
Family / ‘I Bought My Husband Packet Of Condom, When I Saw One In His Bag’ by Ebendo123(m): 8:42am On Jul 04, 2019
Lagos – A businessman, Kingsley Agina, has approached an Igando Customary Court in Lagos, to end his 10-year-old marriage to his wife, Obianju, accusing her of bringing men to their matrimonial home for sex.

Agina, 49, told the court on Monday that his wife, with whom he had four children also, poisons his food
“My wife is promiscuous; she used to bring men into my house to sleep with them, whenever I travelled abroad for business.

“There was a day I came back from my business trip, I discovered that my glass center table was broken.

“I asked my daughter who broke it, she told me that it was one uncle her mother brought home that broke it.

“There was also a day I discovered that my bed was shaking, I called a carpenter to come and repair it.

“ But when we lifted the bed up, we saw several used tissue paper under the bed,’’ he said.

The petitioner alleged that his wife used to withdraw money with his ATM card and give her boyfriends.

He also accused his wife of poisoning his food.

“Since year 2008, I have noticed that my food was being laced with poison, which has resulted to my deteriorating health; I could not sleep nor walk.

“I have spent about N5 million on medical treatment, but I never get well in fact my health is getting worst.

“My mother-in-law is a native doctor, she has a shrine; she has been the one giving her daughter poison to kill me so that they can inherit my property.

“Since I became sick, my wife’s parent never called or came to my house to ask how I was feeling,’’ he said.

Kinsley begged the court to dissolve the marriage on the ground of lack of love.

Obianju, 35, a businesswoman, however, denied all the allegations.

She said that it was her husband that was promiscuous.

“My husband brings home different girls of different sizes and colours.

“I once saw condom in his bag, so I went to buy him a packet of condom and gave him.

“ He queried me on my action and I told him that he needs it, so that he will not contact any disease to infect me.

“I have been faithful to our marital vow; I have never had sex with any other man. My husband married me a virgin at the age of 25,’’ she said.

The mother of four said that she never poisoned her husband.

“How will I poison the father of my children, what do I stand to gain, my hands are clean, I don’t know how poison got into his body,’’ she said.

Obinaju said that the N100, 000 she withdrew with her husband’s ATM card was for the upkeep of the house.

She made a fervent plea to the court not to dissolve the marriage.

The respondent said that she still loves her husband.

The court president, Mr Adegboyega Omilola, after listening to the couple adjourned the case to Dec. 6 for judgment.
