I don't think you really understand the chargeback concept. You claimed the funds was chargedback in your first accusation and now you say it was refunded. It's clear there was no chargeback.

$1000 and $300 were sent separately. The $1000 bares incriminating details; the $300 doesn't, yet you refunded both after you confirmed and paid naira. Correct?
I can't say refunding the $1k is a wrong move as it avoids trouble. I would also do that but you already confirmed and paid for the funds. He also paid the suppliers.
