PoliticsN2bn Fraud: Maina Flees As EFCC Seals Abuja Properties by Ebisco03(op): 8:53am On Oct 24, 2017
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commsion, EFCC, has sealed all the properties belonging to embattled ex-chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, Abdulrasheed Maina.

Maina, who has been accused of complicity in N2bn fraud, has reportedly gone into hiding.

The civil servant was declared wanted by the EFCC in November 2015 for alleged fraud.

However, Maina surprisingly resurfaced this month as an acting director in the Ministry of Interior, a development that triggered a nationwide uproar, forcing president Buhari to order for his immediate disengagement from service.

The EFCC Spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, while speaking on the issue on Monday, said the commission was still on his trail.

He, however, stated that the commission had marked his houses in Abuja, including a house in Jabi said to be worth about $2m.

Uwujaren told Punch, “Yes, his properties were marked today. To the best of my knowledge, he has not yet been arrested.”

Another source within the anti-graft agency was quoted as saying that Maina was moving around http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2017/10/n2bn-fraud-maina-flees-as-efcc-seals.html

CrimeViolation Of Human Rights: Nigerian Army Press Release by Ebisco03(op): 8:00pm On Aug 17, 2017
In an effort to deepen troops understanding and appreciation of Human Rights issues and their impact on military operations, the Army Headquarters Department of Civil Military Affairs have organised Human Rights Sensitization Workshop for officers and soldiers of 8 Task Force Division in Monguno.
Declaring the workshop open, the Chief of Civil Military Affairs, Major General Nuhu Angbazo noted that the Nigerian Army is currently experiencing fourth dimension warfare; where the assymetric nature of the enemy has demanded that the army must work more closely with the civil populace, in order to understand, identify, engage and defeat the enemy. To achieve this strategic objective, Major General Angbazo added that “the Nigerian Army has embarked on this sensitization workshop so that our troops can become knowledgeable in the Laws of Armed Conflicts and therefore avoid those unprofessional conducts that could destroy their career and http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2017/08/violation-of-human-rights-nigerian-army.html

PoliticsWike Claims He Has CJN, Judiciary In His Pocket – Amaechi by Ebisco03(op): 6:52am On Jul 31, 2017
The Minister of Transportation and past governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, has said that the present governor, Nyesom Wike once threatened President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration and now boasts that he has the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, and the entire judiciary in his pocket whereupon he can manipulate any judgement against him (Amaechi).

Amaechi also accused Governor Wike of running an administration “that embarks on wholesale forgery and distortion of government documents and then retails it out to his minions, the media and now the judiciary in a shameful and futile bid to defame and destroy Amaechi.”

According to the minister, Wike is basing the recent visit to the state by the CJN, to brag that Justice Onnoghen is his ‘main man.’

Amaechi gave the statement in a release to newsmen on Sunday through his media office.

The statement read thus: “Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike has continued to twist, falsify and forge fresh documents that he intends to use against the immediate past governor of the state and now Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.

“Wike wants to use the elaborately distorted and most times outright but carefully forged documents to persecute and prosecute his erstwhile benefactor in court. In the past couple of days, Wike has been telling anyone who cares to listen, bragging that he will certainly get a conviction, a judgement against Amaechi in the law courts on spurious charges of corruption using his forged documents because he (Wike) is in control of the judiciary at the state and national level.

“For the avoidance of doubt, we wish to state that Wike has been boasting that he has the judges in the Rivers State judiciary in his pocket, that he’s in full control and that the State Judiciary would always give him any judgement he wants against Amaechi.

“Furthermore, Wike is bragging that the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) is his ‘main man’, that would readily and easily assist him to get any judgement he wants against Amaechi at the apex court, using his contorted documents.

“Wike is also telling anyone who cares to listen that the Supreme Court (Justices) and judges generally are not happy with Amaechi and so they would easily convict him with any forged document he presents in court. Power drunk Wike is using the recent visit of the CJN to Rivers State as his bragging right to prove his ‘extreme’ closeness to the CJN.

“Nigerians would recall that only a few days back, Livingstone Wechie, the young man Wike used to accuse Amaechi of corruption and write false and frivolous petitions to the National Assembly, EFCC etc, confessed in a live television programme and in a statement he also circulated to the media, that all the documents he used to wrongfully portray Amaechi as corrupt when he governed Rivers State, were phonies, forged documents given to him by Wike’s Rivers State Government House.

“Wechie also admitted, like we have always said, that the forged documents were used as the template and basis for the Justice Omereji led Judicial Commission of Inquiry, a panel Wike set up early in his administration to witch-hunt, malign, vilify and persecute Amaechi.

“Sadly, this is the kind of administration that presides over the affairs of Rivers people. An administration that embarks on wholesale forgery and distortion of government documents and then retails it out to his minions, the media and now the judiciary in a shameful and futile bid to defame and destroy Amaechi. Brazenly, without any scruples, Governor Wike runs an administration that manufactures and concocts documents to indict Amaechi of corruption. Yes, this is the kind of character, a low-level con man that is at the helm of affairs in Rivers State. “Since he became governor, Wike’s sole agenda has been to attack and vilify Rotimi Amaechi, no matter how ridiculous and silly he sounds.

“Since he became governor, Wike’s sole agenda has been to attack and vilify Rotimi Amaechi, no matter how ridiculous and silly he sounds. Every day in Rivers State, there is one frivolous, false story of what Amaechi did or didn’t do. Same pattern, the same blatant lies using distorted and forged documents, same old concocted stories of corruption allegations against Amaechi told with different twists.

“Nigerians will not forget in a hurry how Nyesom Wike, hurriedly called a suspicious late night press conference to lie that the over $43 million found by EFCC in a luxury apartment in Ikoyi, Lagos and the apartment belongs to Amaechi. “Wike shamelessly said that the money was part of what was stolen from Rivers State – and warehoused in the Ikoyi house – by his predecessor and current Minister for Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi. “Not done with his concocted tales, Wike went further to threaten the President Mohammadu Buhari administration with fire and brimstone if the money is not returned to him (

PoliticsFormer Governor Of Lagos State And Minister Of Works, Housing And Power, Babatu by Ebisco03(op): 2:22pm On Jul 25, 2017
Former Governor of Lagos State and Minister of Works, Housing and Power, Babatunde Fashola, has technically dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, by not voting in the last Saturday, Local Government elections, in Lagos State.
This came as the APC National Leader, Bola Tinubu, voted at his Polling Unit 047, on Sunday, at Adigun Street, Alausa, Ikeja, while Governor Ambode, voted at his polling unit in Epe.
The first Civilian Governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Lateef Jakande, also voted, defying the rain.

However, it was gathered that Reporters and residents around Ward G3, Unit 002, State Senior Grammer School, Itolo, where Fashola normally casts his vote, waited endlessly for him to vote, but he did not show up, till voting and counting ended.
All effort to reach his Media Spokesman, Hakeem Bello, to react to Fashola’s refusal to vote, proved abortive.
Fashola, also was not visible ahead of the elections, to mobilise his Constituents to vote for the APC, as was the case when he served as Lagos State Governor.
The Minister, has further stayed away from Lagos politics, and official gatherings, since his tenure ended in 2015. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2017/07/just-in-tinubu-in-total-shock-as.html

PoliticsMassive Jubilation As Fayose Breaks Another World Record, Did What Buhari Has Ne by Ebisco03(op): 6:54am On Jul 25, 2017
Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has said that all his children are products of Nigerian Universities, urging public office holders, to endeavor to send their children to schools in the country.
Governor Fayose, who was at Covenant University, Ota, in Ogun State, to witness the graduation ceremony of one of his sons, Ayorogbayimika Fayose, told Journalists that there was no reason children of public office holders should study in Universities outside Nigeria, except in cases where courses interested in, were not offered in Nigerian niversities.
According to the Governor’s Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose said: “We talk and do. Whatever we say is what we practice. Apart from the fact that none of the children attended schools abroad, I have never traveled out of the country for Medicare.
He added: “Even though views of people like us might not be popular among the powers that be, because we say the truth and act the truth, we won’t stop telling them what they do not like to hear and one of such is that the only way to improve the standard of education in the country is for children of holders of public office to experience what children of ordinary Nigerians are experiencing in schools in the country.

“During my first tenure as Governor, I took my son from a private school and enrolled him in SUBEB Model Primary School, in Ado Ekiti.
“Today again, I am here to witness the graduation of my son, and I make bold to say here that none of my children attended tertiary institution outside Nigeria.
“That should be the spirit, not a situation where someone is the Minister of education in Nigeria, and his children are schooling abroad. And by enforcing this too, we will be saving Nigeria a lot of foreign exchange being wasted on medical and academic tourism”, the Governor said.
While condemning what he described as the hypocrisy of some Nigerian leaders, especially those in the All Progressives Congress, APC, Fayose said: “Even children of President Muhammadu Buhari, that they told us lived a modest life, attended Universities abroad. Shouldn’t President Buhari have lived by example by: http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2017/07/breaking-massive-jubilation-as-fayose.html
