Jokes EtcWhy Did The Chicken Cross The Road? by EbiscoComedian(op): 9:54pm On Nov 11, 2015
So why exactly did the chicken cross the road? A few of your celebrated personalities gives you the answer...
AKPOS: The chicken crossed the road because the road cannot cross the chicken.
MUHAMMADU BUHARI: We don't really care why the chicken crossed the road. We just want to know if the chicken is on our side of the road or not. The chicken is either against us or for us. There is no middle ground here.
BILL GATES: I witnessed e-Chicken2003, which did not only cross roads, but laid eggs, filed your important documents, and balanced your checkbook and internet explorer which is an integral part of e-Chicken.
MARTIN LUTHER KING JR: I envision a world where all chickens will be free to cross roads without having their motives called into question.

AKPOS GRANDFATHER: In my days, we didn't ask why the chicken crossed the road. Somebody told us the chicken crossed the road, and that was good enough.
A TYPICAL NIGERIAN: Why are you asking me why the chicken crossed the road? Abeg o, I don't want wahala! I am innocent.
GOODLUCK JONATHAN: The chicken is so happy with her brand new Made In Nigeria Innoson Motor and constant power supply that she crossed the road to vote for me again.
D-BANJ: To Scream I'm D-Banj. That what most Chickens call me
FEMI FALANA: Why won't the chicken cross the road? When there is no light in her house. No fuel in her car! No food in her stomach! No job to do! Armed robbers are after her eggs, the schools are closed, why won’t it cross to the other side?
PATRICK OBAHIAGBON: The question strikes to mind a perpendicularity of oblivious occurrences. The rationale for the crawling species of the henfolk for advancing across the broadway to the obvious greener side, portray a phantasmagoric allegory in my homosapious mind, that there is a reason. The metaphoric proposition may be that it is going to cast its vote for APC and......See more at: http://www.mcebisco.com/2015/11/why-did-chicken-cross-road.html

CrimeTOO BAD: Graduate Dies In River During NDLEA Hot Raid In Lagos(photo) by EbiscoComedian(op): 5:24pm On Sep 14, 2015
Officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency have been accused of drowning a 32-year-old man who is a graduate of Law, Dapo Olasore, in the Agboyi, Alapere area of Lagos.

The incident happened on Sunday as operatives who came in vans without number plates, raided the area.

Olasore, aka Omopo, was about boarding a canoe to a neighbouring community to see a relative, when the officials stormed the community.
They were said to have shot sporadically into the air, sending frightened residents fleeing in different directions.

According to PUNCH, Olasore, who was by the riverside, was said to have been held by the trousers by the NDLEA men; and in a bid to free himself, fell into the water.

A boatman, who attempted to save him, was said to have been threatened with guns, leading to the death of the victim.

When PUNCH visited the community, it observed a crowd of residents and motorcyclists in the area, who had got wind of the news, at the riverside.

It was learnt that the victim, who graduated from a university in Ondo State, joined the National Union of Road Transport Workers in 2014, after he could not get a job.

His family was said to be resident in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

A witness and friend of the victim, Tosin Oshin, said the NDLEA officials arrived around 10.45am.

He said, “It happened around 10.45am. We suddenly saw two white vehicles in our community. They began shooting into the air and everybody started running helter-skelter.

“They went to the riverside, where Omopo (Olasore) was about boarding a canoe. As Omopo saw one of them, he wanted to run like other people, but the officers held him. In the struggle to free himself, he fell into the river.

“A boat operator, who was about to rescue him, was threatened with guns. Omopo raised his hand and asked for help, but they didn’t help him.”

Oshin said immediately the incident happened, the officials fled the community with two other men.

The boat operator, Dayo Seun, said before the victim finally drowned, he made an attempt to rescue him, but the officials prevented him.

He said, “I was on the other side of the river when I saw the man fall inside the river. I quickly paddled my canoe to the place he fell into to rescue him, but they pointed their guns at me, and asked me to go back.”

A resident, Omolara Adekunle, said the anti-narcotics officials were always harassing residents, adding that after making arrests, they usually collected about - See more at: http://www.mcebisco.com/2015/09/too-bad-graduate-dies-in-river-during.html
PoliticsINTERVIEW: How Members Of Jonathan’s Kitchen Cabinet Worked Against His Re-elect by EbiscoComedian(op): 7:10am On Sep 03, 2015
Akib Abiola is a frontline activist and a protege of Moshood Abiola, the winner of the annulled 1993 Presidential Election. He was one of the founding members of the defunct National Democratic Coalition, NADECO. In this interview, Mr. Akib spoke to Mc Ebisco about how Jonathan’s re-election campaign was torpedoed by those closest to him and how, at a point during the campaign, he trusted no one except his wife.

Mr Akib also described how the former president failed to take action even when it was clear that campaign funds were being stolen.

He also spoke about his relationship with Tinubu and how Mr. Tinubu betrayed members of NADECO and US-Nigeria relations.

PT: Buhari recently visited the United States to seek assistance of the US government in the fight against Boko Haram. The United States has previously placed an embargo on the sales of arms to Nigerian due to allegations of human rights abuses by our military. As a foremost activist based the US what do you think the Nigerian government needs to do to secure more assistance and to further strengthen bilateral relationship with the US?

Akib: There is a long history of great relationship between the U.S and Nigeria. The U.S. government has always been interested in the security and development of Nigeria. The mutual respect and bilateral interests can be traced back to the period following our independence. In fact, our first Prime Minister Alhaji Tafa Balewa was one of the first world leaders to be invited to the U.S and given the honour to address the joint session of the U.S. Congress which consists the Congress and the Senate. This was an honour bestowed on our country and our leaders because of our promises, potential and resources way before that honour was extended to Sadat of Egypt, Netanyahu of Israel or Blair of U.K.

I was very excited to see the level of respect accorded President Buhari during his visit by President Obama and his officials. President Buhari was welcome warmly everywhere by the Americans and its government officials. We have not seen such treatment of our President since Obasanjo left office. For whatever reason, President Jonathan never nourished the good relationship that President Obasanjo built with the American government and the American people. Some of the development in Atlanta Georgia and the successes of some of our fellow Nigerians in Atlanta and other cities can be attributed to the great relationship that Obasanjo built with the U.S. government and the Americans. The respect and the goodwill that they have for our leader and our country was passed to most Nigerian professionals in various American cities. U.S. has always been a great partner with Nigeria in fighting terrorism and civil wars in West Africa. Nigerian Army and its Generals have always been one of the finest in the U.N. peace keeping force. I was really shocked when I heard about the abuses levied against our Army and the Generals. Personally, I think some of the accusations were exaggerated and can be attributed to lack of good relationship between Jonathan and Obama.

As the world leader on war against terror, there is absolutely no reason for U.S. not to support Nigeria in our war against Boko Haram. President Buhari said all the right things while visiting the U.S except the speech where he blamed the Leahy’s Act for our failure in the war against Boko Haram. However, with the New Service Chiefs and the restructuring of the Security agencies and the mutual respect between the two countries, I believe the U.S. will soon remove its arms embargo on - See more at: http://www.mcebisco.com/2015/09/interview-how-members-of-jonathans.html

Politics10 Businesses That The Buhari Government Will Affect by EbiscoComedian(op): 3:25am On May 08, 2015
A user in Nigeria’s biggest forum, Nairaland, with the moniker – Osile2012 have compiled ten businesses he thinks will be negatively affected by the incoming government of President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari.

1. Real Estate: Corruption influenced the high rise in the value of property in Nigeria. An area is mapped out and once politicians pick interest in the area, the value of property rises rapidly for no reason. Land that is worth 1.5m, the moment a politician comes and buys for 10m and starts building a mansion, every other land owner in the area starts selling from 10m upwards. The same goes to buildings. A politician sees a house he or she likes, the seller increases the price by 10 and the politician buys. Then every other property around the area is on the rise.As the new administration takes over, politicians will reduce their spending. They will now be more interested in managing their loot wisely and no more buying properties anyhow for themselves and their girl friends, because they wont have access to funds to steal. This will affect the sales of property, as there will be more properties for sale and less buyers. Even the politicians who are the target of estate investors will have to sell theirs to maintain their life style. Remember they have drivers, cooks, security and kids who are studying abroad. People who have raw cash, will buy properties for less than the actual value. A house that is selling for 20m can be bought for 10m. Because the true value of the land in those areas will surface. When you call unimaginable prices for properties, even the politicians will ignore you.
2. Contractors: The budget of the ministry of works has been slashed by more than 50%. This means that fewer roads and houses will be built. Maintenance will even be reduced as the budget would hardly pay salaries . So contractors will have to find an alternative source of funding .
3. Interior decor and furniture: As politicians invest less in property and govt invest less in housing, there will be less houses to furnish. Those importing expensive furniture that they sell to govt at inflated prices will reduce the stock they order, before they end up using it themselves...Read below:http://mcebisco..com/2015/05/10-businesses-that-buhari-government.html
