If she transfers the sevis to the second school and decides not to enroll in the first school, classes will not start in the second school till January. Will she be allowed to stay in the country without being enrolled in any school? Her visa is carrying the name of the first school. |

Hello everyone, Please I need insight on this situation for a close friend. She really needs to know her next steps. If one has gotten a visa to go to one school for fall 2023 semester and travels and is yet to enroll in the school then the second school gives the person admission with more funding than the first school for the next semester which is spring 2024. Does the person have to enroll in the first school even though the first school is not giving any funding or Assistantship and is asking that the person has to pay the tuition deposit. Should she pay tuition while waiting for the second school to start enrollment? What can the person do in a situation like this? |

Sisib15: I started my date search in February, I couldn't a closer date Until Mid March. The First date I got was September 18,then I kept hunting for it until I got April 4th and the reason I was able to get that date was because the Abuja Embassy released massive slots I am searching in the Abuja embassy. This information has raised my hopes. I will keep checking. |

Sisib15: You are not going to cancel your appointment, the thing is you keep clicking on the cancel option so you can see a new date. When you see a favorable date you then use the reschedule button to schedule the date. You don't have to pay for a new MRV. You can only reschedule four times. Assuming you have August 15 as you appointment date, and you see may dates. You can reschedule but if the dates you are seeing are closer to the one you have don't reschedule so that you won't waste your mrv Thanks for the information. It is very useful to me. |

Sisib15: Keep searching for date. This is my trick, I picked a not favorable date, then I used the cancel option to check for date without canceling my old date. So when a favorable date comes, I was able to know very quickly. What this trick does is that you can refresh the website for 3 hrs straight without logging out but once the website logs you, do not trt to login again for that day unless your account will be frozen for three days This is interesting. I have be doing this for 2 weeks now and the only dates I have been seeing are in September, October and, November. Does it actually work? That is after picking a date, one can still be able to see earlier dates when available, cancel previous appointment and book an early appointment date? Will it affect the visa fee which has already been paid? |

Omah01: Good evening guys!!! I tried paying for my I-901 fee and a pop up read ‘we only accept western union, check and money order’. Do I continue to make payments with my GT bank card or what do I do?
I’ll appreciate an urgent reply please🙏 You can't pay with your GTBank card. I had to find a friend that is already in the US to do ut for me then I credited her Nigerian account. Nigerians are not allowed to send money out with western union, the out bound interface or whatever it is called, is not working. |

BigIyanga: Have you tried WES evaluation? Also, can you ask your siblings to lead while you support them ? Do you have funds to pay for masters in Nursing?
Per pharmacy, do you want your sibling to pursue a Phd program? WES is unnecessary if your school does not require it. Just like not all schools in the USA make it mandatory to take the English proficiency exams, they also have schools that do not require WES evaluation. I think those are schools the we coming from Nigeria should apply to. Considering all the fees we have to pay and all the restrictions on international transactions, I just think we should check these requirements before applying to any school. Just my opinion. |

BigIyanga: Not true. Nursing in the US, is an undergraduate study. They offer MSc Nursing in some schools in there USA. I found out during my research when I was looking for schools to apply for admission. But one might have to take some additional courses or an exam. |

benedictuyi: Thanks for your response.
Acceptance rate based on CGPA.
I have a sibling who studied Nursing with a CGPA below 3.0. I'm looking for schools that will accept her for a masters degree in Nursing.
I have another sibling that studied pharmacy with a CGPA above 3.5. Hello dear There are alot of resources on YouTube on list of schools that give admission and how to get admission with CGPA below 3.0. Check out https://youtube.com/@The_Fred_Effect https://youtube.com/@annondemand6607 https://youtube.com/@kingsfordonyina2101 They have resourceful information about studying in the USA and Canada. |
