Kofi Emmanuel's ‘rest in peace’ has been shortlived, after chief of Assin Dansame township in Ghana, Nana Twum Barima V, ordered that his corpse be exhumed from the cemetery on Monday 26th June , a day after his burial, on the grounds that the deceased flouted community’s rule by abstaining from communal labour when he was alive.

It was gathered that the Chief’ argument was that since the deceased refused to obey the laws of the land, then he does not deserve to be buried on the same soil but elsewhere hence the exhumation. Ighanaian reports that with that, the corpse of Kofi has been dumped dumped at the town’s lorry station after it was initially left along a footpath in the town.

However, there’s panic in the town over a possible disease outbreak as a result of that unhealthy discharge/fluid from the corpse that leaks to the ground.

Jamaican born American singer, Sean Kingston, has revealed his dire financial situation in a legal battle over unpaid lawyer bills. The singer filed court docs stating he has less than $500 in his bank accounts and owns no property or cars.

In 2015, the lawyer James J. Gangitano sued Kingston, accusing him of refusing to pay up $12,500 worth of legal work he did in defending him. After filing suit, the lawyer reached a deal with Kingston in early 2016. .

He agreed to pay $20,000 in installments between April 2016 and January 2017. However, Gangitano headed back to court months later accusing him of breaching the deal by failing to make the payments.

Under the agreement, if Kingston missed a payment, the entire amount of $14,500 would be due immediately. They demanded that the judge order Kingston to pay up due to his breach.

Earlier this year, the judge came back with his decision and sided with the lawyers, awarding them $14,500 in damages with interest until paid off. Kingston was also ordered to fill out a financial sheet which listed his assets and property in the hopes the firm can use the info to collect on the debt.
In April, the attorney filed docs demanding Kingston be found in contempt for blowing off the judge’s order. The judge signed off on the motion and ordered Kingston in contempt of court and ordered him to hand over his financial info ASAP.

Then recently, Kingston finally filled out his financial information form for the case. His form explained he currently owns no property or automobile. He lives with his mother Janice Turner in Los Angeles. .

According to Bossip, Kingston attached his last three bank account statements, which reveal his dire financial situation. For his February/March bank statement, his Bank of America account began the month with $18.96 but ended the month with $6.96.

His Chase bank accounts started with $370.68 and $207.63 but ended with (negative) $19.65 and $7.22. One of the only deposits added to his account was from a Marleen Turner for $2,000 and his account was charged multiple insufficient funds fees.

Two drug traffickers, 59-year-old Joseph Oparaji Okechukwu, and 41-year-old Austine Ikenna Nnaji, have been arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for reportedly trying to smuggle drugs out of the country, through the Lagos airport.

Confessing to the crime, Joseph who revealed he was a contractor, blamed the present economic recession in Nigeria for nudging him into drug smuggling.



The other suspect, Austine, was identified as a safety officer in Qatar. Mr. Nnaji reportedly feigned ignorance of the content of his luggage, which he claimed to have received from a friend at the airport.



Okechukwu was bound for New York City on Turkish Airlines while Mr. Nnaji was on his way to Doha, Qatar on Ethiopian Airlines. Okechukwu excreted 1.105 kg of brownish substances that tested positive for heroin. Nnaji, was found to have concealed 11.540 kg of marijuana and 490 grams of tramadol in his luggage.

A married Nigerian woman was found dead in a hotel room in Enugu while “enjoying” with her lover during a one-night stand.
A statement by police spokesman Ebere Amaraizu, a Superintendent of Police (SP), said the deceased was identified as Mrs Ifeyinwa Udeh of Ugboezeji in Abakpa Nike of Enugu State.

The statement said: “On that fateful day, the deceased with her lover, identified as Joel Ugwu of Abakpa in Enugu State, had allegedly checked into one hotel located around Nowas Junction of Transekulu in Enugu.

“She was later confirmed dead by a doctor at St Leo’s Hospital Transekulu after suddenly falling ill and becoming unconscious. “She was taken to the hospital for medical attention at 11.15 p.m by her lover.”

The statement said Ugwu, who is in police custody, is assisting the investigation on the incident.
The Nation reports that the suspect confessed that he and Ifeyinwa “comfortably checked into the hotel on that fateful day, but later, the lady lover started complaining of ill health. According to the suspect, she was immediately given a bottle of malt drink and bottled water, which he allegedly bought for her while they were relaxing in the hotel room”.



The police added: “He said following the development, he rushed her to the hospital for medical attention, but she was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.

“The body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue of the Parklane Specialist Hospital in Enugu for autopsy.”

Also, detectives from Homicide Section of the police command have begun a full scale investigation into the incident.
The police said they recovered from the hotel room some tablets and capsules as well as other materials, which they said would aid operatives in their investigations.

Plans by Gov. Aregbesola of Osun State, to investigate further the cause of the death Davido's uncle and a serving Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Isiaka Adeleke, has been rejected by the Adeleke family.


The immediate younger brother of the deceased, Deji Adeleke, who read the family’s address at a press briefing in his residence in Ede on Sunday, said the outcome of the inquest had been predetermined.


The briefing also has Ademola; Dupe Adeleke-Sani and other members of the family in attendance. Deji Adeleke said;

"The family hereby denounces in its entirety the ill advised and self serving coroner’s inquest ordered by the Osun State Government purportedly set up to determine the cause of death of our dearly beloved Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke.

We condemn in strictest terms the continuous politicization attempts by the state of this great loss to our family, particularly the ordering of this inquest at a time we are still coming to terms with the harsh reality of his sudden departure and the pain and grief therefrom.

We have been reliably informed by credible sources that the outcome of the kangaroo inquest is already predetermined by the state and designed to serve its own interest with distorted facts and misinformation which will clearly not be in the interest of the good people of Osun in general and the Adeleke family in particular.”
