kunle4toyeyaho: Appointments are done on geopolitical zone basis and not on the basis of language being spoken by the appointee. Should Igbo speaking people of Delta State be denied opportunity of representing Southsouth when the need arises? Should Yoruba speaking people of Kogi and Kwara be denied the slot of North central because they speak Yoruba? When ,PBAT had the opportunity to appoint 11 justices to supreme court, Igbos from southeast alone got 3 out of 11, why were you silent at that time? Of all the 6 regional commissions, only SEDC has gotten N150b grant for its investment arm from PBAT, if these are not fairness, what are they? God bless Nigeria forever so the other 5 regional commissions haven't gotten? |

grandstar: I was shocked at his rage.
I that I live in Band E catchment area should be the one complaining the most, but I must agree, power supply has improved!
They are adding 7,000MW to the transmission capacity. What they are adding is even higher than what is presently on ground.
Power supply would probably have improved much higher but the cost of the subsidies is a big problem.
I am certain Tinubu will get rid of them if he wins a second term. He will totally get rid of power sector subsidy in his 2nd term and in return probably increase Minimum wage by 30k to 100k. It'll surely happen should he wins 2nd term. Tinubu hates subsidy so much. He has not done it now so as to just win 2nd term. |

autoez: Parents and babes are the major reasons why these boys are doing yahoo. EFCC should prosecute both the offender and their parent/spouse together. With these they'll stop pushing our boys to crime Exactly, there should be a law that whoever his son or daughter is caught doing yahoo, the parents too will be prosecuted, but that Law is distasteful cos every yahoo boy is over 18 years and no longer under the guidance of the parents. Is also considered an adult old enough to bear the full weight of the law if found culpable. |

samuelson06: This is so disheartening. But why are these white young people always suicidal? Every little thing, they want to commit suicide. White people are genetically highly and very sensitive and emotional. Reason they can't bear to see their people suffer, reason they can't steal to further impoverish their own people. They're sensitive to their own self and also sensitive to what others go through. This is why they are so sensitive they can't bear to see their people suffer thus structure their society to be progressive and advanced. Our own people our hearts are in our back while oyibo their hearts are in their front. Our hearts are in our back and we barely commit suicide or become sensitive to our plight and the plight of others this is why we catch cruise with serious things, our hearts are in our back and when one among us become political leaders he also steals without conscience. |

drsteroid: After removing subsidy from oil and from education, u still haven't solved lingering problem ASUU has been complaining for years. What is the common man now benefiting from the govt if subsidy has been removed from everything and nothing has changed. It is a pity the govt is stealing from the poor to fund their own greedy lifestyle. Out of the numerous problems we are facing, we haven't been able to solve one. In 21st century, we are still fighting for constant power supply. Tinubu has further dragged us back, running a govt of propaganda and corruption. Insecurity in the country is at its highest, no state including FCT is spared. I told us before he was selected that he was going to be buhari pro max. 4 more years to go for Tinubu Pro max 2027 😂 |

How mch hav u spent per kilometer no be bad question ma.Atleast there is an average price per kilometer the contract hasn't been awarded yet. Do you assign a birthday date for a child still in the womb of the mother ? Or do you name a child before it's born ? What if it happens to be a female child ? Dave told him the question is too early and rightly so, cause evaluations before award are still ongoing. Please give the Engineer from Ebonyi state his accolades. |

nairalanda1: Best ways to Japa to USA
1. Graduate from their colleges with high grade qualifications that would attract companies that will sponsor your hb1a visa(modified...preferably in STEM courses...so don't go reading things like history, Literature or fine arts, please!..unless you are the next Chiamanda Adiche, and have a novel written up by your 19th birthday!)
2. Be in medicine and pass the certification exams (USMLE for docs , NCLEX for nurses)
3. Write GRE and get into a masters program and do so brilliantly there that they will retain you for work.(again preferrably in STEM)
Though Trump is making immigration harder ( except for medical people) That's why I don't believe his story. Its not easy to get to US even for people who have money. Otherwise UK, Canada and China won't be favorite destination for Nigeria rich people of recent. |

Asek1: This history isn't complete 😏 Cross River State that was created by Muritala Mohammed in 1976, where is it 🤷 Cross River was created before the War in 1967 as South Eastern state with its capital in Calabar before the Biafra war by Gowon. It is one of the first states created. It was named South Eastern state with calabar capital. They only renamed their state to cross river few years ago. |
Politics › Re: History Of State Creation In Nigeria; Military HOSs And States They Created. by Ebubu6: 4:52pm On Sep 30, 2025 |
Racoon: General Sanni Abacha really tried for many of the oppressed people of many states in Nigeria especially Ebonyi, Bayelsa and Nassarawa State. But Bayelsa has been a disappointment Ebonyi needed that liberation. Infrastructure-wise the state has transformed, what is remaining in Ebonyi is human capital development (spread of wealth). But I'm sure the poverty here would have been far worse if there was no Ebonyi State today. As much as the poverty still exists, it has drastically reduced compared to 1990s. Before, when Ebonyi was created in 1999 there was no teacher who was an indigenes to man the newly constructed public schools, basic teachers were employed from Cross River State who we share a history with as Ogoja province, and then Anambra state. But last year when Gov. Nwifuru opted to employ teachers for basic schools following the lifting of embargo placed on teachers recruitment by Dave Umahi for 8 years, over 25k eminently qualified Ebonyians applied. Out of which about 1,500 were employed and deployed to schools of assignment. Ebonyi Infrastructure is so top notch today that visitors who visit, say we have beautiful roads, mall, rural roads, bridges, airport but not nobody is using them. I'm proud of where we are Infrastructure wise but I'm sure and I admit we can do so much more to tackle poverty and uplift more people to wealth especially to curb hawking by boys and househelp by girls. God bless Ebonyi State. |
