osigiepurr: Pls, which ATF should I use for kia sportage 2008 model with 4WD. And how many liters should I use?.
I had problem with my gear. It could only be shifted to D but can't move.
I just got the gear repaired by my Mechanic. Plz, I want to know the required liters that will completely fill it up Recommended ATF is Hyundai/Kia SP-III. For a completely drained transmission, you'll need about 8quarts. |

Ken4agent: Thanks for your response, I don't understand what you mean by "my gear is slipping"
Have been using the car for 7years now....The gear that came with the car had reverse issues so I change it completely like 4yrs back. I have not changed the ATF in 2years now....could it be that the ATF need to be changed Gear slip means the gear goes into neutral before engaging to next gear. Before carrying out any major repairs, try changing the fluid first. If this doesn't help, then you have a faulty transmission. What fluid did you put in it when you changed it 4yrs back? |
