You'd do well as a writer OP, your story's ending is laced with gloom. Probably there were hints of him tilting towards insanity but was ignored by those close to him till it spiraled out of control. I was born into a Christian family and I became one by default and I'm sure that if I were born into a Muslim family I would have become one without question. This is the problem that most people face today. They can't question their faith because they were born into it; they'd rather die defending it.

I was a Christian for the most part of my life. I was a Muslim for two years; by the help of a friend I discretely studied the path of Allah and his prophet. I even got a translated version of the Koran.

Today, I'm neither Christian nor Muslim. My reason is; God created man not religion. Man is a godly being but religion is man made. Judaism existed before Christianity and Christianity before Islam. Most part of the Koran was copied from the Torah and the Bible.
