Aystarz: The psycho even commanded Jaime to murder Tywin. And that one was supposed to kill his own beloved father under the guise of keeping one useless oath Jaime did the right thing. Jaime didn’t do the right thing, even everybody in Westeros knows that. He could have deliver the mad king to the rebellion. Will you blame the mad king for ordering for the head of Tywin? That nigga betrayed him. |

Endy10: Aerys' last words were "Burn them all!". Jaime killed him because he didn't want the king to give any command that would initiate that 'burn'. He was trying to save the city.
The reason he sat on the throne was not to watch the king die. After killing the king, he didn't know who would claim the throne. Was it his father?... Ned?..Robert? He even thought Rheagar's children were safe. He sat and waited because he wanted to know who would claim the throne. When Ned walked in, he thought it would be him. lol. Guy hear urself out na. There was no way his father could have gotten the throne, his father didn’t participate in the rebellion till wen it was almost over, the mad king was shouting burn them all not knowing the person giving that task is already dead. Jaime could have held the mad king captive and wen Ned comes in he could have handed him over. |

Endy10: Aerys let suspicion turn him into an unrecognizable king... A mad one. One not fit for the realm. Even his son Rheagar sort to oust him. He didn't deserve the oath the kings guard swore him.
If Jaime hadn't killed him, no one in kings landing would be alive. Not even Rhaella, Aerys' wife who should have also enjoyed the protection of the kings guard.
Like Jaime said to Brienne, he saved the realm. Oath or no oath Jaime did the right thing. Even though Aerys was king, that doesn't mean he get to hide behind an oath after all his atrocities. again u fail to understand my point, Jaime killed the man the mad king sent to burn down the city, that was enough, there was no need for him to go on and kill the mad king when the rebellions were already in Kingslanding, he should have allowed the rebellions do it themselves. |

shogz89: lol.. Who is he to hold a king captive.. Have you forgotten in the game of thrones you either win or die.. Mention one king that was held captive in the whole series.. bro na wa for u o. U no Dey understand person o. I say he for hold m captive then wen dem Ned Stark come he hangs m over to dem. He for allow the rebellion do the mad king anything Dey like. |

shogz89: so you will kill your father because you are the kings guard... May God not put you in a situation were your loyalty will be tested. You will know blood is thicker than water u are not Getting my point, honestly we Nigerians don’t judge things fairly, he already stopped the man that was going to burn down the city, he could have held the mad king captive, the rebellions were already in the city, he could have delivered the mad king to them instead of killing him, he was a Kingsguard |

shogz89: I bet many of us would have killed the mad king if we were in jaime's shoe.. Why will someone tell me to kill my father and burn all inhabitant of a city. Jaime killed one to save about 500,000 people in kings landing. I will break my oath if it comes to saving humanity at the expense of a truly mad king.. The only fault I find in Jaime is the incest with cersie every other act of his in the series have been noble. yes he’s a hero but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t wrong, the mad king was defenseless, he could have capture him or injured him , instead he stabbed him in the back and slit his throat then sat down on the iron throne and watch him die. Jaime could have capture him for the rebellion, he had already stopped the guy that wanted to burn down the city, he had every opportunity to capture the mad king for Ned Stark but instead he killed the defenseless man. Let us not be bias, he deserved to be punished |

I said this earlier and I will say it again... Tyrion is the most over rated character, that dude have. Wen getting everything wrong.. the smartest character to me in GOT is Tywin Lannister even under the mad king he was the one ruling indirectly |

PaddyX: P. S. And to think that she was going to execute Jamie for killing her father,a man who burnt people alive with wildfire for no reason.
This is a woman who killed and hung the slave masters of Yunkai/Astapor/Mereen (can't remember) because they did the same to slaves, and she called it justice (and I agree).
Same woman burnt a father and son alive for refusing to kneel.
Now that the man in question was her father, the rules have changed and Jamie was wrong to have killed him, Jamie should have left him to continue killing his own citizens for no reason
A good and noble leader indeed. pure rubbish... Jaime deserved to be punished for killing the Mad king, he should have been either killed or sent to the night watch, he swore an oath, he broke it and he should be punished, joffery was a bit as mad as the mad king and wen he died, Tyrion was put on trial. |

fk001: If they did as you said that "Bran should predict everything"
Then is better for us to watch Zimbabwe film, because the sh!t wouldn't make sense. yes he will predict everything but just like any predictions he may be wrong, there are things he can’t, predict, Bran predicted the Nk was going to come for him, Jon snow and crew prepared very well for that, Bran was right, the Nk did come but at the end he beat them at their own game, something like that should have happened, Brian only sees the past and present, he doesn’t see the future |
TV/Movies › Re: Game Of Thrones Discussion (Beware Of Spoilers) by echibuogwu(m): 9:41am On May 06, 2019 |
LeSulk: An omniscient plot device like Bran creates more plot holes for the writers than the plot twists he was intended to make. A similar reason why JK Rowling had to ditch the Time Turner and the Marauder's Map at some point in the Harry Potter series. Bran sees the past and present everywhere in the realms of Men. The best thing they should have done was to make him seek solitude in a big tree like the previous 3ER.
The Missandei issue is surprising too. She was born on an island so she most likely could swim to safety. She was probably knocked unconscious when she went below deck during the attack. God bless you man. Some folks were saying Bran can’t see the future like I don’t know that before, he’s a fucking 3ER, he knows what Cersei is planing to do, he knows they have the cross bow and they will be waiting yet nobody thought about asking him like wtf... and as for Missandei, I’m not sure she was knocked unconscious because the ship was sinking so I still don’t know how come she didn’t make it to the river bank. |

Honestly I don’t understand this game of thrones any longer, they are making everyone look stupid just like Naija film, first it was the problem in the crypt, with all the smart asses no one could point out the problem there and now this... I mean they have Bran they could have just tell him to do his thing and give them Cersei plans, they could have seen this whole thing coming but No, they didn’t and I still don’t understand how Missandei was captured, only Missandei. |

ChristoBam: If Brianne and Arya didn't know each other at all and got to meet one one one during a battle, who do you think will end up victorious?
I love Arya just like most GOT fans love her but the way you guys dey overhype everything about the girl sef. How will Arya defeat Brianne in a serious one on one battle. The things I see on this nairaland GOT thread sometimes baffle me. seriously Arya, Brienne would underestimate her and Arya is faster and more skillful than her. Even when her sword was knocked out of her hand she was still able to use the dagger very well. |
TV/Movies › Re: Game Of Thrones Discussion (Beware Of Spoilers) by echibuogwu(m): 12:42pm On May 05, 2019 |
shogz89: brienne under estimated Arya then na bro.. She didn't know what she was capable of doing.. She took it slow with her initially. Not until she knew Arya wasn't ordinary like she once thought.. same way Arya would have killed her in a real fight, Brienne would underestimate her and she will pay dearly with her life. |
TV/Movies › Re: Game Of Thrones Discussion (Beware Of Spoilers) by echibuogwu(m): 12:00pm On May 05, 2019 |
shogz89: it won't have ended draw if it was a real fight. Re-watch the fight, brienne knocked her down and paused thinking she had hurt Arya.. Brienne would have put her to the sword immediately she knocked Arya down if it were a real fight. before Brienne knocked her down, Arya had the chance to cut her, twice and if it was a real fight Brienne won’t have cut Arya easily when she was knocked down. |

MyGeneration: Oberyn was not a swords man though. That apart I give it to John.
Oberyns opponent was slow, that's not a battle that was simply combat, in a real battle Oberyn won't go far, agility is a Major factor to consider when considering battle maneuvers, if people like Oberyn fought at battle of the bastard, he wouldnt have survived abeg no talk say mountain slow again, no just talk. He’s incredibly fast for his size, why do you think Bronn was scared to fight him |

ThothHermes: Drogo killed an unskilled Dothraki fighter. The guy Jon killed from Craster was a dammed good fighter. Jon has defeated every foe that he has faced. He can only defeat what is put in from of him. Do you honestly think Jon would have lost in Jorah's tournament? besides Jorah would have lost in one of the tournament, he had to be saved by one of the fighter. |

HanksAnuku: Bros English is not hard, and what I said is not that deep.
If you don't understand what I said, them please take a seat
I really don't care what the hound was wearing. My point is very obvious.
Brienne was clad head to toe in plate armour and still took heavy damage from the hound with his bare hands. Without the protection of the armour she always wears, I doubt she's still a formidable fighter.
Full stop what are u saying..? If you had blame the defeat on his injury it would have been understandable not the armor shit. |

Honestly to me Sansa is the most stupid character in this episode, after her then Sam, you witnessed how the full Dothraki troop was killed in seconds and when you got to the crypt all she could think of is loyalty, she couldn’t even think of what they can do to help, she was beefing the one woman whose impact had great role in the victory. She was useless in the battle field and useless in the crypt. And as for Sam, that dude was busy crying on the battle field after causing the death of an innocent man. |

Isomerizm: Was there a pre-signed treaty that, when the war finally passed over, Sansa would hand over the North to her, or would be divested of the right to fight for the North's sovereignty?
It wasn't even as if the war was against the North. It was against the living. The North just happened to be the initial war zone, so consequently, Dany fought for survival, not essentially for the North **** If she really wanted survival she would have gone back to Esos and chill, she sacrificed her whole men for the north **** |

LeSulk: He became poorly developed after the showrunners had the wheel. His character development went to the dogs. They made him look so cowardly whereas he had already tasted battle. Once in s01 where he marshalled the Mountain tribes and lasted only 5 mins. The other was in the Battle of the Blackwater. He got the nickname 'Halfman' from the battlefield. The least they could do for him was to give him a 'Davos role'. It was so pathetic to watch for a Tyrion fan like me. I know GRRM will do a better job with the character so I won't lose sleep over it. I don't even want to dabble into his sudden loss of intelligence. That one is a disgrace. God bless you man, thank God you observed it and spoke maturely, unlike the other immature guy who quoted me and was insulting me, I just overlooked his insults cos I know he’s probably a kid. |

HanksAnuku: I thought there was going to be a conversation there actually.
That Arya move was a cop out. I think the reason for the library scene was to show us just how good she was at sneaking up on people to the point where she makes less noise in motion than a drop of her blood hitting the floor.
To me that's still very wack sha.
Like whats up the Night King's goons anyway? They were just bouncing in slow motion - Arya ran up on their mans right in front of them, and they couldn't even make a move?
Who makes the night king's armor anyway? What is it supposed to protect against, if knives can get through it? It was so anticlimactic to die that way after previously seeing shots of drocarys couldn't stop him, he just took it and smiled. bro he wasn’t stabbed with an ordinary knife, he was stabbed with a Valyrian dagger. |
