Ikeja Bomb blast of 2001 comes to mind, losing same life while trying to save it. Please, something should be done about insecurity in Nigeria. Living like a refugee in one's country is a not a good way to go. |
Inmates on Death Row, (IDR), at the Nigerian Correctional Service, Enugu command, have emerged winner of a friendly football competition organised by the center as part of recreational activities for inmates at the facility. A statement from the Public Relations Officer, (PRO), Enugu Command, Ugwu Dympunahe, said that the match was organized to further promote the reformation of inmates and allow them to experience some of the games they love playing despite being behind bars. Controller of the command, Nicolas Obiakor, who was represented by his assistant, Nwigwe Leonard, pointed out that sporting activities not only keep the inmates fit but also sane and is part of their reformatory process . The Officer in charge of the Enugu custodial centre, Usifo Joseph, stressed the “need for offenders to engage in recreational activities as it will help to improve them physically and and mentally. https://guardian.ng/news/death-row-inmates-win-trophy-at-friendly-football-match

Good evening Nairalanders, a friend of mine came to me for an advise. My friend is in his late 30s, he has been in a relationship with his woman, they have been together for a period of 8 years, and they have 2 kids together. This my friend has a younger brother, the younger brother told him that they should go and collect traditional marriage list from his woman family, so that traditional marriage can take place by December. My friend worry is that, one, he is not financially capable to do traditional marriage rite as of now and secondly, he doesn't have a good paying job now. Another of his worry is that, he feels it shameful for his younger brother to sponsor his wedding, he is afraid won't he be insulted in the future by people, that he can't not pay his wife bride price, that it was somebody that married his wife for him. His brother told him not to worry about the financial responsibilities, that God will take control. My advice for him was that he should tell his brother to give him the money to go start a business, maybe when the business balances, he can go and do the marriage rite. But his brother told him that the lady has tired for waiting for 8 years, that they should do the traditional marriage first, every other thing shall fall in place. This his brother has been supportive to him. Nairalanders please what's you take on this? |

Good reputation is very lucrative,so bad some people sells it for peanut. |
Lol... You see you are the one contradicting issue here,in this particular post,it was 100k/month that was mentioned. Not the millions monthly earners you mentioned. [quote author=uchaymart post=112137950 Hahaha can I tell you about a salary earner I know, who earns above 2million naira a month and works just 18days? Business is good but try to match it up with high earners also. There are people who do "petty" businesses and these can be matched with low salary earners as well...... The Adenugas, Otedolas were once salary earners...just start with whatever is right for you and aim higher....that's it[/quote] |
How am I contradicting issue here? My stand here is a lucrative physical hand work pays. In present day Nigeria economy, how many things can 100k do for an average working citizen who will have to transport to work, with physical handwork, you have the chance of getting contract/projects that runs in millions in a month. And I don't think you should quote/blame me for thinking in billions. ßßsszgshßme ßsnation[/sub]ß[sub]ßzhv uchaymart: |
Billionaires are not salary earners. |
